Radio waves

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
THIS DEVICE IS COMPLIANT WITH ALL INTERNATIONAL DIRECTIVES CONCERNING EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES
Your mobile device is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines and those in force in EU.
These guidelines, developed by an independent scientific body (ICNIRP), include a significant safety margin to ensure people’s safety, regardless of age or level of health.
The unit of measurement used for these guidelines is the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate).
For mobile devices, the maximum SAR allowed is 2.0 W/kg for the head and body at 5mm and 4.0 W/kg for the body at 0mm.
The maximum SAR values for this model, permitted in accordance with the ICNIRP Guidelines, are:
SAR values for EU countries: the SAR values shown below are valid only for devices intended to be used within the European Union.
Maximum SAR Values

| Concerned Device| Maxiumum Authorized Value
---|---|---
SAR at body (5mm)| 0.83 W/kg| 2.0 W/kg
SAR at limbs (0 mm)| 1.49 W/kg| 4.0 W/kg

The SAR testing has been performed on this device according to the standards*.
During testing, ID Screen 60 radios are set to the maximum transmission power and placed in positions relative to the body that simulate uses when worn or carried against the torso of the body, with 5mm of distancing.
To meet RF exposure guidelines, the device must be worn at least this distance away from the body.
Document Number: 2021_2000060174 6
IDEMIA Identity & Security France, SAS, n° 440 305 282 RCS Nanterre

During use, the actual SAR values for this device are usually well below the values stated above. This is because, for purposes of system efficiency and to minimize interference on the network, the operating power of your device is automatically decreased when full power is not needed for the call.
The lower the power output of the device, the lower its SAR value.
Furthermore, it is not recommended to leave the mobile device in close proximity to the abdomen of pregnant women, as well as the lower abdomen of children and adolescents.
Respect the restrictions of use specific to certain places (hospital, airplane, petrol station, schools, etc.).
Follow the safety instructions in certain places and turn the device off when requested.
Organisations such as the World Health Organisation and the Food and Drug Administration of the United States have suggested that if people are concerned and wish to reduce their exposure, they can use a hands-free accessory to keep the wireless device away from the head and body during use, or to reduce the time spent using the device.
More information on this subject provided by the WHO can be found at: http://[www.who.int](http://www.who.int)/peh-emf/research As devices offer a range of functions, they can be used in positions other than against your ear. In such circumstances the device will be compliant with the guidelines when used with headset or usb data cable. If you are using another accessory ensure that whatever product is used is free of any metal and that it positions the tablet at least 5 mm away from the body. Please note by using the device some of your personal data may be shared with the main device. It is under your own responsibility to protect your own personal data, not to share with it with any unauthorized devices or third party devices connected to yours. For products with WLAN features, only connect to trusted WLAN networks. Also when using your product as a hotspot (where available), use network security. These precautions will help prevent unauthorized access to your device. Your product can store personal information in various locations including a SIM card, memory card, and built- in memory. Be sure to remove or clear all personal information before you recycle, return, or give away your product. Choose your apps and updates carefully, and install from trusted sources only. Some apps can impact your product’s performance and/or have access to private information including account details, call data, location details and network resources.

FCC Regulations:
This tablet complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
This tablet has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  •  Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

FCC Note:

RF Exposure Information (SAR)
This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications Commission of the United States.
Document Number: 2021_2000060174 8
IDEMIA Identity & Security France, SAS, n° 440 305 282 RCS Nanterre

During SAR testing, this device is set to transmit at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands, and placed in positions that simulate RF exposure in usage near the body. Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual SAR level of this device while operating can be well below the maximum value. This is because the device is designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach the network. In general, the closer you are to a wireless base station antenna, the lower the power output.
The exposure standard for wireless employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg.
The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this model device with all reported SAR levels evaluated as in compliance with the FCC RF exposure guidelines. SAR information on this model device is on file with the FCC and can be found under the Display Grant section of www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid after searching on
FCC ID: ZBW-MPHMB004.
For this device, the highest reported SAR value for usage near the body is 1.05 W/kg.
While there may be differences between the SAR levels of various devices and at various positions, they all meet the government requirement.
