INSTALLATION & QUICK START GUIDE
Please read this manual carefully before operating the unit and keep it for further reference.

Important Safeguards and Warnings
1. Electrical safety
- All installation and operation here should conform to local electrical safety codes.
- This device requires PoE 803.3af or higher to function.
- Improper handling and/or installation could run the risk of fire or electrical shock.
2. Environment
- Heavy stress, violent vibration or exposure to water is not allowed during transportation, storage and installation.
- This product should be installed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Do not install the product in extreme temperature conditions.
- Do not expose the camera to electromagnetic radiation or it may result in CMOS sensor failure.
- Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Do not allow water and liquid intrusion into the camera.
3. Operation and Daily Maintenance
- Please shut down the device and then unplug the power cable before you begin any maintenance work.
- Do not touch the CMOS sensor optic component. You can use a blower to clean the dust on the lens surface.
- Always use the dry soft cloth to clean the device. If there is too much dust, use a cloth dampened with a small quantity of neutral detergent. Finally use the dry cloth to clean the device.
- Please use a professional optical cleaning method to clean the enclosure. Improper enclosure cleaning (such as using cloth) may result in poor IR functionality and/or IR reflection.

- This camera should be installed by qualified personnel only.
- All the examination and repair work should be done by qualified personnel.
- Any unauthorized changes or modifications could void the warranty.

4 mounting screws and anchors
Installation steps
1. Begin by unscrewing two screws located on the bottom base of the
camera/top of the DD2 box.

2. Pull the bottom of the cover outwards, and then slide the entire back cover off the two pegs towards the top. (Refer to Figure 2)

3. From the outside of the rear panel, slide your unterminated ethernet cable through the grommet and ensure that the grommet is securely fastened in the hole cutout on the center top of the panel. (Refer to Figure 3)

4. Pull the cable through the grommet and terminate the cable with RJ45 connector. Make sure you have enough slack to easily reach the opposite side of the PoE splitter installed under the grommet hole. Insert into the PoE input of the splitter. (Refer to Figure 5)

5. Please ensure all connections inside the DD1 box are made:
-RJ45 network connector
-Alarm output cord
-12V/DC power cord
6. There are 4 cutouts on the back panel. Using 2 screws, secure the top 2 holes first and let the screws slide through the keyhole. Tighten the screws securely. For further mounting security, it’s recommended to use all 4 screw holes. Note that you can also adjust the volume of the siren using the knob inside the enclosure.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove any internal connections during installation or your kit may not function properly. With the base securely fastened against the mounting surface, replace the cover, again accounting for the 2 pegs at the top. Refasten the two screws on the bottom to secure the backplate to the enclosure. (Please refer to the DD2 Diagram on the next page when mounting)

- The two Keyhole’s needs to be screwed in first when mounting.

7. Using the supplied Allen key, adjust the camera to the desired viewing angle. (Refer to Figure 6)

Operation
- Once the camera is connected to a PoE source, you are now able to log into the camera through a web browser.
- If you are having an issue connecting to the camera make sure the PC and the IP-camera are connected on the same local network. The camera is set to DHCP by default, and will be assigned an IP address by the DHCP server. Make sure that the local network has a DHCP server. Routers typically have a DHCP server built in. Install the IP scanner from the CD and run it after installation. The IP scanner tool for discovering the IP cameras on the local network.
*Model numbers may vary.
- In the device list, the IP address, model number, and MAC address of each
device will be listed.
Select the applicable device and double click to open the web viewer. You can also manually enter the IP address in the address bar of the web browser.
Default username is “admin” & default password is “1234”
Motion Detection (This will not be enabled by default)
-Go to Event Setup Motion Detection to set motion detection alarm.
- Check “Enable” check box to activate motion-based alarms. If unchecked, the camera will not send out any signals to trigger motion-based recording to the NVR or CMS, even if there is motion in the video.
Trigger Snapshot: If selected, the system will capture images on motion detection and save the images on an SD card.
Trigger SD Recording: If selected, video will be recorded on an SD card on motion detection.
Trigger Email: If “Trigger Email” and “Attach Picture “are checked (email address must be set first in the Email configuration interface), the captured pictures and triggered event will be sent into those addresses.
Trigger FTP: If “Trigger FTP” and “Attach Picture” are checked, the captured pictures will be sent into FTP server address. Please refer to FTP configuration chapter for more details.
Alarm Out: If selected, this would trigger an external relay output that is connected to the camera on detecting a motion-based alarm.
Set motion detection area and sensitivity. Click the “Area and Sensitivity” tab to go to the interface as shown below.
Move the “Sensitivity” scroll bar to set the sensitivity. Higher sensitivity value means that motion will be triggered more easily. Select “Add” and click “Draw”. Drag the mouse to draw the motion detection area; Select “Erase” and drag the mouse to clear motion detection area. After that, click “Save” to save the settings. “Clear All” can be used to clear out the entire motion zone. Set the schedule for motion detection. The schedule setup steps of the motion detection are the same as the schedule recording setup.
People & Vehicle Detection (This will not be enabled by default)
- Enable object removal detection and then select the detection type.
Enable Left Detection: Alarms will be triggered if there are items left in the pre-defined area.
Enable Item Missing Detection: Alarms will be triggered if there are items missing in the pre-defined area.
Shortest Holding Time: it is the alarm delay time of the object left in the region or removed from the region (ranges from 10~3600s). For example, if “Left detection” is selected and the shortest holding time is set as 10, alarms will be triggered after the object is left and stay in the region for 10s, but when someone takes away the object within 10s, alarms will not be triggered.
Set the alarm holding time and alarm trigger options. The setup steps are the same as motion detection. Please refer to motion detection section for details.
Click “Save” button to save the settings. Set the alarm area of the object removal detection.
Click the “Area” tab to go to the interface as shown below.
- Set the alarm area number and then enter the desired alarm area name. Only one alarm area can be added. Click the “Draw Area” button and then click around the area where you want to set as the alarm area in the image (the alarm area should be a closed area). Click the “Stop Draw” button to stop drawing. Click the “Clear” button to delete the alarm area. Click the “Save” button to save the settings. 5. Set the schedule of the object removal detection. The setup steps of the schedule are the same as the schedule recording.
