SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ BEFORE OPERATING THIS EQUIPMENT.
Before using the unit, be sure to read all operating instructions carefully. Please note that these are general precautions and may not pertain to your unit.

  1. Read this Instruction Manual before you attempt to connect or operate the appliance.
  2. Keep these instructions in good condition. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions.
  3. Save this Instruction Manual for future reference.
  4. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product. Dry location use only.
  5. No naked flame source, such as candles, should be placed on the product.
  6. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  7. Ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings.
  8. Only use accessories, which are specified by the manufacturer.
  9. Use replacement parts, which are specified by the manufacturer.
  10. Install the unit in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  11. Place the unit where there is good ventilation. Place the system on a flat, hard and stable surface. Do not expose to temperatures above 40°C. Allow at least 10 cm clearance from the rear and the top of the unit and 5 cm from each side.
  12. Press the player’s buttons gently. Pressing them too hard can damage the player.
  13. Dispose of used batteries in an environmental-responsible manner.
  14. Always ensure that the product is unplugged from the electrical outlet before moving or cleaning. Clean it with dry cloth only.
  15. Turn off the product during lightning, storms or when it will not be used for long periods of time.
  16. This product has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair this product yourself. Only qualified service personnel should perform servicing. Take the product to the electronics repair shop of your choice for inspection and repair.
  17. NEVER let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots or any other openings in the unit’s casing as this could result in a fatal electric shock.
  18. Don’t mount this product on a wall or ceiling.
  19. Do not place the unit near TVs, speakers and other objects that generate strong magnetic fields.
  20. Do not leave the unit unattended when it is in use.
  21. Keep minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
  22. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.
  23. The use of apparatus in tropical and/or moderate climates.
  24. Batteries should be disposed properly. Take them to the collection container in order to protect the environment.
    WARNING: All packaging materials, such as tape, plastic sheets, wire ties and tags are not part of this product and should be discarded.

POWER SUPPLY

The speaker operates with the USB-C charging cable (included) or with a USB
type adaptor (not included) 5.0V, 1.0A. Input: 100 ~ 240V, 50/60 Hz.
Power supply

  1. Check that the unit is switched off.
  2. Insert the small end of the USB-C cable (included) into the USB-C charging port on the back of the unit.
  3. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable into the USB-C port of your powered computer or USB type power adaptor and connect it to a wall socket. The LED near the USB-C charging port lights up in red when the device is charging.
  4. Once charging is completed, the LED light will turn off.

Note: Please note that the USB-C cable can be used for battery charging only and not for data transfer.
WARNING :

  • Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Please only replace it with the same or equivalent battery.
  • The battery should not be exposed to high temperatures, such as sunlight, fire or anything similar.
  • WARNING: Mal-function or loss of memory may be caused by strong frequency interference or electrostatic discharge. Should any abnormal function occur, switch it off and then on again, or unplug the USB cable.
  • Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine fire or the like.

FUNCTIONS & MODES

To turn the speaker on/off and adjust the volume, turn the On/Off/Volume button (1).

MODES

The speaker includes different modes: Bluetooth®, USB, TF card (up to 32GB), AUX in and FM radio (87.5MHz – 108MHz).

  • To change mode, shortly press the M/LED button (8).
  • In Bluetooth®, USB and TF modes, press Previous, Play/Pause and Next buttons (9, 10, 11) to control your audio files.
  • In AUX-in mode, these buttons are disabled. Please use the control buttons on your music player.
  • You can sing by connecting the microphone (included) to the Microphone jack (7) when in Bluetooth®, Aux-In, USB or TF card mode.
  • In Radio FM mode, long press the Play/Pause button (10) and release to start the scan function. Use Next button (11) to navigate to the next station.

BLUETOOTH® PAIRING

  1. Turn the unit on.
  2. Activate the Bluetooth® function on your personal device and make sure it is in discoverable mode.
  3. Confirm pairing or select the Bluetooth® name “BTP585” to connect your player to the speaker.
  4. If pairing is successful, the Bluetooth® light will stop flashing and glow steadily. You can play an audio or a video file. The speaker will issue a sound after the speaker has connected successfully.
  5. To stop the connection with the speaker, press another mode on the top panel or a button on your audio player. Once the connection has been stopped, the LED indicator will flash.

Your audio player must support the A2DP Bluetooth® profile to match this portable karaoke. Please refer to your audio player’s instruction manual for accurate information about the Bluetooth® profiles it supports, and how to set up Bluetooth® pairing.
Note: Some music players do not fully support Bluetooth® audio controls. Play/ pause, previous and next buttons on the Bluetooth® speaker may not respond.
The music player may also turn off. To get the best control experience in the said player, use the on-screen track controls of your music player rather than those on the speaker.

CONNECT 2 SPEAKERS IN STEREO:

You can connect two BTP585Z speakers together to enjoy stereo sound (available only in Bluetooth mode):

  1. Turn on two BTP585Z speakers simultaneously.
  2. Press the Play/Pause button (10) twice on one of the two speakers. A sound indicator will be played once they are successfully connected together.
  3. Activate the Bluetooth® function of your audio player and confirm the pairing to the speaker (BTP585) as explained in the previous section.

LIGHT EFFECTS
Long press the M/LED button (8) to turn the light effects on/off.
CAUTION : Too high volume can damage your hearing. For this reason, lease turn the volume down.

MAINTENANCE

To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the power source when cleaning. Use a soft, clean cloth moistened with plain, lukewarm water to clean the exterior of the unit.

Correct disposal of batteries in this product
