RYOBI EPN6082C Electric Planer
Product Information
The EPN6082C EPN7582N is a power tool designed for planing wood and rebating wood. It is equipped with a rotating cutter that removes an even layer of material to provide a smooth and flat finish. The tool has special safety features to prevent accidents and is designed for portable use.
Special Safety Rules
- Wait for the cutter to stop before setting the tool down. An exposed rotating cutter may engage the surface, leading to possible loss of control and serious injury
- Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, because the cutter may contact its own cord. Cutting a live wire may make the exposed metal parts of the tool live and could give the operator an electric shock
- Use clamps or other practical ways to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the workpiece by hand or against the body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control.
Additional Safety Rules
- Do not remove splinters or sawdust while the tool is running.
- Only plane with sharp blades and avoid metals such as nails and screws.
- Do not reach into the danger area of the tool when it is plugged in.
Intended Use
The EPN6082C EPN7582N is specifically designed for planing wood to remove an even layer and provide a smooth, flat finish. It can also be used for rebating wood. Please note that the product is not intended for stationary planing.
Environmental Protection
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing of them as waste. The machine, accessories, and packaging should be sorted for environmentally friendly recycling.
Maintenance
- The tool should never be connected to a power supply when assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, performing maintenance, or when the tool is not in use. Disconnecting the tool will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious injury.
- When servicing, use only identical Ryobi replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage.
- Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, carbon dust, etc.
- Do not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or penetrating oils come into contact with plastic parts. They contain chemicals that can damage, weaken, or destroy plastic.
- Electric tools used on fiberglass material, wallboard, spackling compounds, or plaster are subject to accelerated wear and possible premature failure due to the highly abrasive nature of fiberglass chips and grinding.
OVERVIEW
INSTALLATION INSTURCTION
SPECIAL SAFETY RULES
- Wait for the cutter to stop before setting the tool down. An exposed rotating cutter may engage the surface, leading to possible loss of control and serious injury.
- Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, because the cutter may contact its own cord. Cutting a “live” wire may make the exposed metal parts of the tool “live” and could give the operator an electric shock.
- Only plane with sharp blades, avoid metals (nails, screws).
- Do not reach into the dangerous area of the tool when plugged in.
INTENDED USE
- Planing wood (removing an even layer to provide a smooth, flat finish)
- Rebating wood The product is not intended to be used for stationary planning.
MAINTENANCE
- The tool should never be connected to a power supply when you are assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, performing maintenance, or when the tool is not in use. Disconnecting the tool will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious injury.
- When servicing use only identical Ryobi replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage.
- Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, carbon dust, etc.
- Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or penetrating oils come in contact with plastic parts. They contain chemicals that can damage, weaken or destroy plastic.
- Electric tools used on fiberglass material, wallboard, spackling compounds, or plaster are subject to accelerated wear and possible premature failure because the fiberglass chips and grindings are highly abrasive to bearings, brushes, commutators, etc. Consequently, we do not recommend using this tool for extended work on these types of materials. However, if you do work with any of these materials, it is extremely important to clean the tool using compressed air.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing of them as waste. The machine,
accessories, and packaging should be sorted for environmental-friendly
recycling.

WARNING
The vibration emission level given in this information sheet has been measured
in accordance with a standardized test given in EN 60745 and may be used to
compare one tool with another. It may be used for a preliminary assessment of
exposure. The declared vibration emission level represents the main
applications of the tool. However, if the tool is used for different
applications, with different accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration
emission may differ. This may significantly increase the exposure level over
the total working period. An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration
should also take into account the times when the tool is switched off or when
it is running but not actually doing the job. This may significantly reduce
the exposure level over the total working period. Identify additional safety
measures to protect the operator from the effects of vibration such as:
maintaining the tool and the accessories, keeping the hands warm, and
organization of work patterns.
