Product Usage Instructions

Installation

To install the Carry-Bike Pro Hymer-Dethleffs, follow these steps:

1. Ensure that your Hymer motorhome has preinstalled upper fixing brackets. If not, you may need to purchase the upper brackets kit  specific to your motorhome model (e.g., Dethleffs, Carado, Sunlight).
2. Before 2010 models:
   • The upper brackets should be installed with a distance of 13 cm between them.
   • The brackets should be positioned 1.5 cm from the edge of the motorhome.
3. After 2010 models:
   • The upper brackets should be installed with a distance of 12.5 cm between them.
   • The brackets should be positioned 5.3 cm from the edge of the motorhome.
   • The upper brackets should also have a height of 2.1 cm and a width of 1 cm.
4. After 2016 models:
   • The upper brackets should be installed with a distance of 12.5 cm between them.
   • The brackets should be positioned 5.5 cm from the edge of the motorhome.
   • The upper brackets should also have a height of 3 cm and a width of 1 cm.
5. Once the upper fixing brackets are in place, you can proceed  with the installation of the Carry-Bike Pro Hymer-Dethleffs.

Additional Rails Configuration

If you need to transport more than two bikes, you can use additional rails and bike blocks. Follow these steps:

For the Third Bike:

• Use the Bike-Block Pro 2 (Item No. 04133A01B) to secure the third bike.
• Adjust the distance between the rails to fit the bike’s dimensions, with a minimum distance of 24 cm and a maximum distance of 28 cm.
• Attach the Rail Quick Pro (Item No. 98656M040) to connect the third bike rail.

For the Fourth Bike:

• Use the Bike-Block Pro 4 (Item No. 04133C01B) to secure the fourth bike.
• Adjust the distance between the rails to fit the bike’s dimensions, with a minimum distance of 54 cm and a maximum distance of 57 cm.
• Attach the Rail Quick Pro (Item No. 98656M040) to connect the fourth bike rail.

Note : It is advisable to load the lightest bicycle on the outer rail.

Q: Can I use the Carry-Bike Pro Hymer-Dethleffs with E-Bikes?
A: The user manual does not specify compatibility with E-Bikes.  It is recommended to contact the manufacturer for further information regarding E-Bike usage.
