Product Usage Instructions
Safety Instructions
- Be very careful during the installation: touching live wires can cause life-threatening electroshocks.
- Always disconnect mains power when the device is not in use or when servicing or maintenance activities are performed. Handle the power cord by the plug only.
- Indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing, and dripping liquids. Never put objects filled with liquids on top of or close to the device.
- Keep this device away from children and unauthorized users.
- Caution: device heats up during use.
- There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.
- This device falls under protection class I. It is therefore essential to connect the device to a grounded power outlet. Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual. Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Have an authorized dealer replace it if necessary. Do not use the device if damage to housing or cables is noticed.
Installation
- Open all four catches [C] (two on the front, two on the back) and take the speakers [A] off the mixing console [B].
- Unfold the speaker stands [G] and place them on a level and sturdy surface. Mount the speakers on the stands.
Connecting/Disconnecting Audio Devices During a Presentation
If you need to connect an extra audio device during a presentation:
- Set the volume control of the applicable input channel to zero.
- Connect the audio device to the input channel.
- Switch on the audio device.
- Slowly increase the volume to the desired level.
Taking Down
- Set all volume controls on the control panel [5,24] to zero.
- Switch off all audio devices.
- Switch off [27] the mixing console.
- Disconnect all audio devices and speakers.
- Store the microphone and cables in the storage compartments [D].
- Take the speakers off the stands and fold the stands.
- Place the folded stands in the mixing console and fix them in place using the straps [E].
- Place the speakers on top of the mixing console and close the four catches [C].
Caution: Do not force. If the catches do not close properly, then carefully reposition the speakers and try again.

Input channel 5:
- REVERB: apply a reverb effect to this input channel.
- GAIN: set the channel volume. It determines the proportion of this channel in the mix.
Input source selector:
- LINE: select input from the TAPE INPUT jacks.
- MP3: select MP3 input from a USB device or SD card.
- BLT: select input from a Bluetooth device.

| Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures. Make sure the
ventilation openings are clear at all times. For sufficient air circulation,
leave at least 1″ (± 2.5 cm) in front of the openings.

- Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it. Do not allow operation by unqualified people. Any damage that may occur will most probably be due to unprofessional use of the device.

Installation
Setting Up
- Open all four catches [C] (two on the front, two on the back) and take the speakers [A] off the mixing console [B].
- Unfold the speaker stands [G] and place them on a level and sturdy surface. Mount the speakers on the speaker stands. Or, if you are not using the speaker stands, place the speakers on a level and sturdy surface.
- Place the mixing console on a table (not incl.) and connect the speakers to the rear panel [F,29] using the included speaker cables.
- Caution: Always switch the device off before you connect speakers.
- Set all volume controls on the control panel [H,5,24] to zero.
- Connect audio devices, such as a microphone (incl.) or an MP3 player (not incl.) to the mixing console as necessary. Refer to Overview for more information on inputs and outputs.
- Plug the power cord into the power cord connector [28] and plug it into a suitable mains outlet.
- Make sure the ventilation openings [30] in the rear panel are clear. Remove any objects (spare cables, etc.) that may block them.
- Note: Store spare cables or other parts in the storage compartments [D].
- Switch on [27] the mixing console first.
- Switch on the connected audio devices.
- Slowly increase the volume of the connected channels to the desired level.
Connecting/Disconnecting Audio Devices During a Presentation
If you need to connect an extra audio device during a presentation:
- Set the volume control of the applicable input channel to zero.
- Connect the audio device to the input channel.
- Switch on the audio device.
- Slowly increase the volume to the desired level.

Input channels 1–4
1| MIC and LINE inputs.
MIC: microphone input, XLR jack. Connect a low impedance microphone. LINE: line input, 1/4″ jack.
For channels 1–3: mono input.
For channel 4: use connector LEFT/MONO for mono input, or use both LEFT and RIGHT connectors for stereo input.
Note : use either the MIC or LINE input. Do not use both inputs at the same time.
2| REVERB: apply a reverb effect to this input channel.
3| TREBLE: adjust the high tones. ± 15 dB at 12 kHz.
4| BASS: adjust the low tones. ± 15 dB at 80 Hz.
5| GAIN: set the channel volume. It determines the proportion of this
channel in the mix.

6| Input source selector:
LINE: select input from the TAPE INPUT jacks.
MP3: select MP3 input from a USB device or SD card BLT: select input from a Bluetooth device.
7| TAPE INPUT: connect an input device such as a cassette deck or CD player to the RCA jacks. The input can be added to the mix.
TAPE OUTPUT: connect an output device such as a cassette deck or home audio system to the RCA jacks.

9| USB port: insert a USB storage medium.
10| FOL–: press to select the previous folder on the USB device or SD
card.
11| FOL+: press to select the next folder on the USB device or SD card.
12| MODE: press repeatedly to select the desired play mode: USB/SD or FM
radio.
13| REPEAT: to set up repeat mode.
14| PLAY/PAUSE: use the play/pause button to switch between playback
mode and pause mode.
15| EQ: press repeatedly to select the desired equalizer mode:
CLASSICAL, BASS, LIVE, ROCK, or POP.
16| VOL–: press to select the previous track. Press and hold to decrease
the volume.
17| VOL+: Press to select the next track. Press and hold to increase the
volume.
18| Mute key: mutes the volume of the SD/USB player.
19| U/SD – SCAN:
In USB/SD mode: press to switch between the USB device and the SD card. In FM radio mode: press for automatic channel searching.

The level indicator LEDs show the level of the master output.

Cleaning and Maintenance
- All screws shall be tightened and free of corrosion.
- The housing, visible parts, mounting supports and the installation location (e.g. ceiling, suspension, trussing) shall not be deformed, modified or tampered with; e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports, do not change the location of the connections…
- Mechanically moving parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.
- The electric power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain the device.
- Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities. Let the device cool down.
- Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
- There are no user-serviceable parts, apart from the fuse. Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.
Replacing the Fuse
- Only replace the fuse by a fuse of the same type and rating.
- Before replacing the fuse, unplug the mains lead.
- Wedge the fuse holder out of its housing with a flat-head screwdriver.
- Remove the damaged fuse from its holder and replace with the exact same type of fuse.
- Insert the fuse holder back in its place and reconnect power.

Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs. -
