Product Usage Instructions

1. Connection: Connect the UA2 Plus to your computer or mobile device using the provided USB cable. If your device has a Type-C USB port, use the USB A to Type-C cable. If your device has a Type-C USB port, use the USB Type-C to Type-C cable.
2. Software Installation: For Windows users, make sure to install the appropriate drivers for UAC 1.0 or UAC 2.0, depending on your device’s compatibility. These drivers can be downloaded from the official Shanling website at www.shanling.com.
3. Headphone Connection: Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm headphone output for regular listening or use the 4.4mm balanced output for a more balanced and detailed audio experience.
4. Using the Eddict Player App: If you are using an iOS device, download and install the Eddict Player app from the App Store. This app allows you to control the audio settings, adjust the equalizer, and customize the sound according to your preferences.
5. Audio Settings: The UA2 Plus supports various audio formats, including 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, 192kHz, 352kHz, 384kHz, 705kHz, and 768kHz. It also supports DSD64, DSD128, DSD256, and DSD512 formats. You can select the desired audio format and sample rate in your audio playback software or the Eddict Player app.
6. Sound Performance: The UA2 Plus offers high-quality sound reproduction with low distortion (THD+N) of 0.0008% at 32Ω. It provides a frequency response range of 20Hz to 40kHz with a deviation of -0.5dB. The device has a signal-to-noise ratio of 121dB and a dynamic range of 121dB, ensuring clear and detailed audio output. The balanced output provides a higher signal-to-noise ratio of 71dB at 32Ω.

Security Instructions

1. Don’t repair, disassemble or modify the device without permission.
2. Please don’t use this device in extremely hot, cold, dusty or humid circumstances. Avoid any exposure to liquids.
3. Please enjoy the music at a proper volume to avoid impairing your hearing and damaging the sound system. Before plugging your headphones into the device, please turn down the volume first.
4. Don’t clean this device with chemicals or detergents, otherwise its surface and top coating may be damaged.

Operation Instructions

1. For use with devices running Android 7 or higher, Windows 10 or Mac OS, UA2 Plus works as a plug-n-play device, without any need to install additional drivers. For use with Windows 8, 7 or XP, please download dedicated USB drivers from https://en.shanling.com.
   • Note: Due to differences in the system and hardware of Android devices, there may be compatibility issues with some Android devices.
2. For use with certain devices, such as gaming consoles or older Android devices, UA2 Plus must be switched to a basic USB mode. For such devices, please hold down the USB Mode button on the UA2 Plus while connecting it to the device.
3. UA2 Plus is completely powered through the USB input, consuming only small amount of power from the connected device. UA2 Plus might get slightly warm during usage, this is not a malfunction and it does not affect performance.
4. For use with iOS devices, a special USB-C to Lightning cable is needed.

Companion APP

• Eddict Player app allows access to additional settings and control over UA2 Plus. You can download it directly from Play store.

Note: Only Android system allows access to the settings through the Eddict Player app.
