SQUARE D GTK03 Heavy Duty Grounding Kit

Product Information

The product is a grounding kit manufactured by Square D, a brand of Schneider Electric. The kit includes a grounding bar, a mounting screw, and an equipment grounding label. It is designed to be installed in electrical equipment enclosures to provide a safe and effective grounding system.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Turn off all power supplying the equipment where the kit will be installed.
2. Locate the three mounting locations provided on the bottom of the enclosure, adjacent to the ground symbol.
3. Mount the grounding bar to the bottom of the enclosure using the mounting screw.
4. Apply the equipment grounding label to the enclosure beside the grounding bar.
5. Install wiring to the grounding bar, referring to the equipment grounding label for wire size and binding screw torque.

• This product is hazardous and can result in electric shock, explosion, or arc flash if not installed properly.
• Follow all instructions provided in the user manual carefully.
• This product should only be installed, operated, serviced, and maintained by qualified personnel.
• Before installation, turn off all power supplying the equipment where the kit will be installed.
• If you are unsure of how to install this product, seek assistance from a qualified electrician.

• Apply appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe electrical work practices. See NFPA 70E.
• This equipment must only be installed and serviced by qualified electrical personnel.
• Turn off all power supplying this equipment before working on or inside equipment.
• Always use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm power is off.
• Replace all devices, doors, and covers before turning on the power to this equipment.

Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

Installation

1. Turn off all power supplying the equipment where the kit will be installed.
   NOTE: Three mounting locations are provided on the bottom of the enclosure, adjacent to the ground symbol.

2. Mount the grounding bar to the bottom of the enclosure, using the mounting screw.

3. Tighten the mounting screw to 20 lb-in. (2.3 N.m) after overcoming starting torque.

4. Apply equipment grounding label to enclosure beside grounding bar.

5. Install wiring to the grounding bar. See the equipment grounding label for wire size and binding screw torque.
