The Linortek Bell Scheduling software allows you to upload schedules to multiple Linortek Netbells at once, making the management of you Netbell systems much more convenient. To Upload a bell schedule to an array of Netbell servers, follow these steps

  1. Make sure all of your devices are connected to your network.
  2. Find the IP addresses, and ports if necessary, of your Netbell servers using the Discover program.
  3. Open the Bell Scheduler software, then navigate to the Device List tab.
  4. Click the ADD button to add a device to the device list.
  5. Repeat this for the amount of Netbell servers you wish to upload to.
  6. Enter the IP addresses or given server name of your Netbell servers into the Server Name textbox.
  7. Click the Checkboxes under Clear for all the Netbell’s if you do not wish to dublicate bell schedule events when uploading.
  8. Once all the IP addresses of your Netbell servers are entered, you can either select one of the Netbell servers to download a bell schedule from by clicking the checkbox under Download.
If you wish to upload from a text file follow these steps
  • Navigate to the Bell Schedule tab.
  • Click the Open button on the righthand side of the page.
  • Find the proper text file of the bell schedule you wish to download onto the software.
  • If the file format is correct, the bell events will appear on the bell schedule tab as individual entries, which can now be edited if needed.
  • Be sure to save any changes made by using the Save or Save As button.
  • After the bell schedule is finalized and ready to upload navigate back to the Device List tab.
  • Click the Upload button on the righthand side of the page, this may take a few minutes depending on how large the bell schedule is and how many devices you are uploading to.
  • Once finished uploading, it is advised to make sure every Netbell has the correct schedule by logging into the webpages using the Discover program.

This will allow you to quickly use the Bell Scheduling software to upload schedules to your Netbell servers.

The Bell Scheduling program has 2 tabs, the Bell Schedule, and the Device List. Each one has buttons on the righthand side that corresponds to functions to manage the Schedule or Devices respectively

Under the Bell Scheduling tab there are 5 buttons
  • Open: Used to open a text file that contains a bell schedule into the program.
  • Save: Saves the bell schedule into a text file.
  • Save As: Saves the bell schedule as a new text file.
  • Add: Adds a bell schedule event.
  • Clear: Clears the bell schedule from the program.
  • The columns of the bell schedule pertain to the variables controlling a certain bell event. These are listed below and explained in detail what each column represents:
  • Number: The numerical order in which the bell event was added.
  • Time: The time the bell event is set to trigger, uses 24 hour time.
  • Name: The bell events name, used to describe the event.
  • Bell: Corresponds to the controlling relay the bell is wired into. If checked it is in use.
  • Day: Corresponds to the Day of the Week the bell rings. If checked it is in use.
  • Date: Used to enter in a bell event for a particular calendar Day, the checkbox before the entry denotes whether to use this function or leave it blank. If checked then the days of the week will be left unchecked.
  • Durations: The numerical value of how long the pulse width will be.
  • Pulse Width: How to measure the pulse width duration(mS, Secs, Mins).
  • Use: Checkbox to determine whether or not to use this bell event.
  • Once: Checkbox to determine whether to use the bell event as a one time event.
  • Delete: Button used to delete the bell event.

The Device list manages the Netbell servers you want to download a bell schedule to. It has a few more buttons on the righthand side as well as the Open, Save, Save As, Add, and Clear buttons from the Bell Scheduling software.

  • Open: Allows you to open a list of Netbell servers from your computer files, in .csv format.
  • Save: Saves the list of Netbell servers in a .csv file.
  • Save As: Saves the list of Netbell servers in a new .csv file.
  • Add: Adds a device entry.
  • Download: Downloads a bell schedule from a Netbell, the download checkbox corresponds to this function.
  • Upload: Uploads the current Bell Schedule onto all of the listed Netbell servers.
  • Clear: Clears the Device List.
  • The Device List entries also have different values under each column relating to Connecting to the Netbell servers
  • Number: The numerical order in which it was added.
  • Clear: Checkbox Used to determine whether or not to erase the previously loaded bell schedule on the Netbell server.
  • Server Name: The given Netbell server name or IP address, if no given name then the IP address is necessary.
  • Port: Used when the device has been port forwarded, can be blank if port forwarding has not been setup on the device.
  • Username: The username to the login menu of the device, default is admin.
  • Password: The password to the login menu of the device, default is admin.
  • Delay: the delay in MS of the time between uploading bell events, 1000mS is the optimal delay that we have tested.
  • Delete: Removes the Netbell server entry from the Device List.
  • Download: Checkbox that determines which Netbell server to download a bell schedule from, only one can be selected for downloading.
