Fitting instructions

Instructions
- Mount original parts of the car as specified in the workshop manual.
- After mounting, check that the MAD spring has enough pre-tension.
- Protect metal parts with an anticorrosive coating.
- Readjust the headlights, and the camera and/or radar system if present.
- With multi-link suspension, we recommend realigning.

Disconnect shock absorbers at the lower end. See figure 1.

Jack up the car. Look out for both brake hoses!
See figure 2. -
Remove the mainspring. (Transit Courier/Tourneo Courier: with use of spring compressors).

Fit the MAD mainspring (Transit Courier/Tourneo Courier: with use of spring compressors). See figure 5.

Note that both winding ends of the spring are positioned correctly. See figure 6.

Put the car on its wheels and fit the shock absorber bolts. See figure 7.
