ATTENTION

  • Carefully read these instructions before using your appliance for the first time and keep it for future enquires.
  • This appliance can be used by children at the age of 8 or more and people with physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given an appropriate supervision or instruction concerning the safety use of the appliances and understand the dangers involved.
  • Keep all plastic bags and packaging components out of the reach of children. They are potentially dangerous.
  • Do not connect to the mains without checking that the voltage on the rating plate and that of your household are the same.
  • Make sure the plug has an adequate earth base.
  • Do not leave unattended while in use.
  • Take care the cable cord does not touch any hot parts.
  • Don’t allow children play with the appliance. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
  • Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
  • Always place it on a heat resistance surface.
  • Keep out of curtains or other flammable materials.
  • Do not leave the appliance unattended during the functioning and avoid that the recipient was empty.
  • Avoid to move or change the cooker when it is working. If you need to move it, switch it off and remove the recipients from the plates.
  • Never use the plates as a grill or without any recipient placed.
  • Use always recipients with a flat base and with the same diameter or a little bit higher than the plates diameter.
  • ATTENTION: Hot surface.
  • If the plate is broken, switch off the appliance to avoid risk of short-circuit.
  • Do not place over the plates metallic objects such knifes, forks and spoons.
  • This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • To unplug, pull from the plug, never from the cable.
  • It is absolutely normal for the appliance to make some smoke during the first few times it is used due to the coatings used in the manufacturing process of the product.
  • This appliance is not intended for using with an external timer or a separate system of remote control.
  • The cleaning and maintenance done by users, can not be done by children without any supervision, unless they are over 8 years and they are under supervision.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by its after-sales service or similar qualified personnel in order to avoid a danger.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

  • Place the appliance on a flat and heat resistance surface.
  • Plug it to the mains and place the thermostat knob (2) in its maximum position. The indicator (3) will light on and the plate starts to heat.
  • It is advisable to put the thermostat knob in the highest position (MAX), to let the plate reach, as soon as possible, a good temperature.
  • Once reached the desired temperature, turn the thermostat knob (2) anticlockwise until the indicator light (3) is off. The thermostat will keep the selected temperature.
  • Please have in mind that the plate remains hot for a time after switched it off, you can switch off the cooker before finishing the cooking, that suppose a energy saving.
  • Once the cooking is finished place the thermostat knob (2) in the “0” position and unplug the appliance form the mains.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  • Before you proceed to cleaning, unplug the appliance from the mains and wait until the plate is totally cold.
  • You can clean the body with a slightly dampened cloth.
  • Wait for the plates and the surface to cool. The cleaning will be easier if it is still warm. It is enough to use a slightly dampened cloth and if there were some difficult residues they may be cleaned with soap.
  • Do not use abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers, and such may deteriorate the surfaces.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

  • Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
  • Never throw it away to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement of the environment.
