ATTENTION

  • Carefully read these instructions before using the appliance for the first time and keep it for future enquiries.
  • This appliance can be used by children at the age of 8 or more and people with physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given an appropriate supervision or instruction concerning the safety use of the appliances and understand the dangers involved.
  • Keep all plastic bags and packaging components out of the reach of children. They are potentially dangerous.
  • Do not connect the appliance to the mains without checking that the voltage on the rating plate and that of your household are the same.
  • Ensure the plug has an adequate earth base.
  • Sharp temperature contrasts can cause the recipient to crack, avoid them to prolong its shelf life.
  • The appliance must be used on a stable surface.
  • Do not use the appliance if there are visible signs of damage.
  • Avoid any contact between the cable and the hot parts.
  • Do not leave it unattended while in use.
  • ATTENTION: Hot surface.
  • Don’t allow children play with the appliance. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
  • VERY IMPORTANT: Never immerse the main body in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not use it near of heating areas.
  • Do not use the recipient in a microwave.
  • Do not touch the hot surfaces. Always use the handles when manipulating.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, use only the bowls provided.
  • Lift and open the cover carefully to avoid scalding. The steam can burn.
  • Do not move the appliance when functioning.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Unplug from the mains when not in use.
  • This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.
  • The cleaning and maintenance done by users, cannot be done by children without any supervision, unless they are over 8 years and they are under supervision.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by its after-sales service or similar qualified personnel in order to avoid a danger.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE

Before the first use, clean the recipient and the lid.

  • Plug the appliance to the mains and select with the program selector (4) the desired type of cooking:
    – OFF
    – Low temperature (Cooking time approximately 8 hours)
    – High temperature (Cooking time approximately 4 hours)
    – Warming.

  • When the pilot light (5) is in operation, it shall be illuminated.

  • The lid should be on during cooking to maintain the proper temperature.

  • The appliance will not switch off automatically, to do it, place the program selector (4) at its off position, the pilot light (5) will be switched off, and unplug from the mains.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  • Before cleaning the appliance ensure it is unplugged from the mains and wait for the heating element and the recipient to be cold.
  • Clean the accessories with soap and water and then rinse carefully afterwards.
  • Use a dampened cloth to clean the main body.
  • Do not use abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers, which may deteriorate the surfaces of the appliance.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

  •  Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
  • Never throw it away to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement of the environment.

In the rest of countries, the holder of the guarantee will enjoy all the rights that his legislation in force concedes.
