VISUAL COMFORT KW 5526 Pertica 18 Inch Disc Pendant
Product Information
The Pertica 18 Disc Pendant is a light fixture designed for installation in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes. It should be installed by a person familiar with its construction and operation, as well as the hazards involved. The item is labeled as Item # KW 5526.
Product Usage Instructions
- Carefully remove all parts from the box and place them on a clean, soft surface.
- Remove the mounting plate (B) from the canopy (H) by removing the collar ring (I).
- Install the mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure it with the provided mounting screws (D).
- Feed the electrical wires through the bottom rod (L) and thread them to the junction box.
- Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire in the junction box.
- Connect the fixture neutral wire (usually white) to the supply neutral wire using a wire nut (A).
- Connect the fixture hot wire (usually black or red) to the supply hot wire using a wire nut (A).
- Make sure all wire connections are tight and carefully tuck them into the junction box.
- Insert the driver (C) into the center of the mounting plate (B).
- Install the canopy (H) to the mounting plate (B) and secure it with the collar ring (I).
- Remove the protective cap (P) from the fixture (M).
- Thread the LED bulb (O) into the fixture (M).
- Thread the shade (N) onto the fixture (M), ensuring not to over-tighten to avoid damaging the shade.
Care Instructions
- Clean the fixture only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster.
- Do not use abrasive or chemical agents.
NOTICE
This light fixture should be installed in accordance with all applicable, local installation codes, and by a person familiar with the construction and operation of it, as well as the hazards involved. Inspect item and contents carefully. If any damage or defect is found, do not install. Retain all packaging material until installation is complete and approved.

- Phillips Screwdriver
- Slotted Screwdriver
- Wire Cutters
- Wire Strippers
- Slip-joint pliers
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Carefully remove all parts from the box. Place on a clean, soft surface.
- Remove mounting plate (B) from canopy (H) by removing collar ring (I).
- Install mounting plate (B) to the junction box and secure with mounting screws (D).
- Feed electrical wires through bottom rod (L) and thread to fixture (M). Repeat for middle rod (K), connecting to bottom rod (L).
- Continue feeding wires through collar ring (I), canopy (H) and top rod (J).
- Holding fixture upright, slide collar ring (I), canopy (H) down rods and rest on fixture (M). Then connect top rod (J) to middle rod (K).
- NOTE: Slide components down slowly to avoid damages.
- Hang fixture swivel ball (G) to center of mounting plate (B) and secure with set screw (F) using provided screwdriver (E). See diagram 1.
- Cut excess wires, being sure to leave enough to reach the junction box. Separate wires, and strip insulation on each 5/8″.
- Wrap supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 2). Tighten.
- NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.
- Connect fixture neutral wire (black) to driver (C) output wire (black) using wire nut (A).
- Connect fixture hot wire (red) to driver (C) output wire (red) using wire nut (A).
- CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
- Connect driver (C) input neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).
- Connect driver (C) input hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A).
- CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
- Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.
- Insert driver (C) into center of mounting plate (B).
- Install canopy (H) to mounting plate (B) and secure with collar ring (I).
- Remove protective cap (P) from fixture (M), then thread LED bulb (O) to fixture (M).
- Thread shade (N) to fixture (M).
- NOTE: Do not over-tighten otherwise shade could become damaged.
Care Instructions
- Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster.
- Do not use abrasive or chemical agents.
UNPACKING
NOTICE
Please follow the instructions below to avoid possible damages caused by improper removal.
- Open box and remove top layer of packaging.
- Evenly lift fixture in areas indicated by arrows (see diagram) until clear of packaging. Place on clean, soft surface.
- NOTE: Remove slowly to avoid damages.
