NAL RESEARCH SHOUT tsM Handheld Global Satellite Personal Tracker
DEVICE DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The SHOUT tsM is a handheld, global, satellite personal tracker designed to operate with the Iridium low-Earth orbit satellite network. It provides location information determined by the selected receiver. It comprises an Iridium 9603 transceiver module; a Military GPS receiver; a GNSS receiver; an embedded 3800 mA-Hr battery, an Iridium antenna, an L1/L2 GNSS/M-Code antenna; and an IP67 screen display w/ protective overlay. The SHOUT tsM allows only SBD connectivity to the Iridium satellite network.
IMPORTANT: The SHOUT tsM antennas must have a clear view of the sky
during transmission
DEVICE DESCRIPTION
- Micro DB-15 Connector Port: The micro DB-15 connector port is IP-67 compliant. It is mounted on the side of the device above the USB-C connector port, and supports:
- EKMS-308 Compliant Key-Fill
- SHOUT Bidirectional Data Transfer Mode supporting Position-Only and Precise-Time transfers.
- USB-C Connector Port: The USB-C connector port is IP-67 compliant, and is mounted on the side of the SHOUT tsM device. It is used to power the device, charge the embedded battery, and data usage.
HARGING BATTERY
- Fully charge the SHOUT tsM using a USB-C cable.
NOTE: NAL Research recommends an AC adapter that is capable of 2.5A at 5V for fastest charging speed.
EMERGENCY MODE
- Activate: Slide the Emergency Switch Cover, and quickly press and release the Emergency button to trigger emergency tracking. When emergency tracking is active, the Emergency LED illuminates.
- Deactivate : Press/hold the Emergency button longer than three (3) seconds to take the SHOUT tsM out of emergency tracking
POWER-ON/NAVIGATE TO HOME SCREEN
- Press the Power button (2-3 seconds).
- Press Press to Unlock button.
The Home screen displays.
Select Receiver

Press Setting on the Home screen.
The Setting screen displays. -
Press PNT.
The PNT Setting screen displays. -
Press PNT Selection.
The PNT Selection screen displays. -
Select Commercial or MIL.
Display MIL Status
-
Select Utilities from the Home screen.
The Utilities screen displays. -
Select MIL.
NOTE: If the MIL encryption keys are not loaded, make the appropriate contact to load the encryption keys.
