Important Information
If you have trouble lights on the dash before you install the Gate-Way, you will continue to have them after you install the Gate-Way. The codes are kept in the body control module and the only way to clear them is through the factory ECU first.
Before you install the Gate-Way. You should know.
2010-2014 Camaro SS You will lose the function of the factory cruise control,
traction control and one touch start-up.
The Automatic Camaro equipped with L99 engine will lose DOD and VCT. The
camshaft timing will default to 10 degrees advanced.
The Gate-Way will allow you to retrain the 6L80 transmission. It will shift
and work as it did with the stock E38 OEM engine computer. If you wish to
change transmission setting. You will have to reinstall the factory E38 ECU to
the factory harness. Then use an aftermarket tuner to flash the 6L80 onboard
ECU computer.
Then put the Gateway back into place. The 6L80 onboard ECU will retain those
changes.
