How To USE?

7. Now you can press the button right on your Tile tracker — this will start the activation process. Once you hear it ring, tap “Next” in the app.

8. Choose the category for the thing you’re attaching your Tile to.

9. Give it a test. Tap “Find” in the app to ring your Tile.

10. Here’s a helpful hint if you can’t find your phone — double press the button on your Tile to make it ring, even if your phone is on silent.

11. Make sure you say “OK” when Tile asks to send you Notifications. That way, you’ll get alerted for permission settings, when you need to change your batteries, and Notify When Found updates. Notifications are also necessary if you want to get Smart Alerts if you’ve left a Tiled item behind.

12. Allow Tile to use your location so you can always see the most up-to-date and accurate location of your Tile on the map and find your phone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a landfill item after 3 years?

Assuming you are referring to the battery life. Tile says up to 3 years. However, there are U-tube videos on how to replace batteries.

When the non-replaceable battery dies, how much of a discount is offered by the manufacterer for it's replacement?

Once your Tile has surpassed the 1-year battery life and activation date, you may be qualified to upgrade your Tile through our reTile Program. Through the reTile Program, you will receive a 30% discount.

Can this track luggage internationally?

No. You can only track as far as your Bluetooth allows.

Does it car with a keychain?

It doesn’t come with a keychain, but it does have a hole that you can put on your key ring.

Will the tile beep when the phone is out of range?

Well you need either the tile or your phone with you to active the alarm. So if you leave your phone in the car you can use the tile to activate an alarm on the phone as well. I have used my phone to activate the tile which was in my car and it still went off. But I have not gone miles apart to see if it works.

Can this be track from an iPhone?

Will this work for lost luggage?

Yes, it will. We used it on our trip to Scotland.

Does this use ios find my phone app?

No, the tile has its own app and a sensor that you keep with you that communicates with the tile you put on the item you misplace to find it.

Which tile mate is best for locating a cell phone ?

Because it's flat, I'd say the one that looks like a credit card. But you may prefer the Sticker because it's smaller. Neither one will fit inside a phone case, but the Sticker could stick on the outside. The Mate belongs on keys or other things with fobs.

These used to only be good for one year after activation date. Is that still the case??

Good until the battery dies, which will depend on use. These are good for probably 3 years. The PRO comes with a replaceable battery.

Does this version work with alexa?

Yes, just make sure both devices have the most up-to-date Tile app version. Both devices can ring the shared Tile as long as the device is within Bluetooth range of the Tile. You can ring a shared Tile one user at a time.

Does this go off when bumped in your pocket like the original?
