  1. Make sure that the PRS-0002-C Panel Rail Short is mounted before you start installing the Panel Controller.

  2. Start assembling the hinge and the mounting bracket (see 02, page 5).

  3. Connect the ground wire to the screw on the housing (see 04, page 7).

  4. Plug the cable into the slot labeled IN of the PRS-0002-C Panel Rail Short (see 05, page 8).
Note : Do not plug the cable into the slot labeled OUT nor into the slots of the PRD 0004 A Panel Rail Long (exception: cable to redundant panel).

  5. Plug the EOL resistor for the databus into the slot labeled OUT of the last PRD 0004 A Panel Rail Long in use (see 06, page 9).

  6. Attach the supplied label to the side of the housing (see 06, page 9).

  7. Set the DIP switch according to the designated application.

You can write down the Physical Node Address (PNA) and the IP address on the label (see 07, page 10).

Wiring

Notice!
Do not modify the fire alarm control panel to extend USB and IN1/2 cables outside the housing. Only use cables for USB and IN1/2 with a maximum length of 3 m.

Notice!
You will find detailed information about the CAN and Ethernet networking of the panels in the Networking Guide available for download at https://www.boschsecurity.com .

Notice!
The manufacturer’s specifications for the minimum bending radius of the network and fiber optic cables used must be observed during installation.
