Congratulations on your purchase of this WAYSCRAL powerassisted bicycle!
This guide intends to give you the information necessary for correctly using,
adjusting and maintaining your bicycle.
Please read this guide carefully before the first use and keep it for the
entire time you use the bicycle. It contains important safety and maintenance
information.
It is the user’s responsibility to read this guide before using the product.
Failure to comply with these instructions exposes you to the risks of improper
use of your bicycle or premature wear of certain components which may cause a
fall and/or an accident.
If an original part is found to be defective in terms of manufacture during
its warranty period, we undertake to replace it. The warranty period for
power-assisted bicycles is as follows :
- Frames and forks: 5 years for each country
- Electrical components: 2 years with proper care and maintenance
- Any other component: 2 years
The warranty period is 3 years under condition of maintenance in Spain and
Portugal.
This warranty does not include labour and transportation costs. The company
cannot be held responsible for out of the ordinary damage or damage due to a
combination of circumstances. This warranty is only valid for the original
purchaser of the product, with proof of purchase to support their claim. This
warranty applies only in the case of defective components and does not cover
normal wear and tear, damage caused by accident, improper use, overload,
improper assembly or maintenance and any other purpose not intended for use
with the bicycle.
No bicycle is meant to last forever and no claim will be accepted if it is
based on damage caused by improper use, competition, stunts, jumping or other
similar activities. Claims must be submitted through your retailer. Your
statutory rights are not affected.
The company reserves the right to change or modify any specification without
notice. All information and specifications contained in this document are
correct at the time of printing.
Your bicycle has been carefully designed and manufactured in accordance with
the requirements of the European standard EN 15194.
Conditions of use for this powerassisted bicycle
This power-assisted bicycle is designed for urban and suburban use and can be
used in towns, on the road or on a paved surface where the tyres are always in
contact with the ground. It is equipped with power assistance that will make
all your daily trips easier, so you can go further and for longer. Your power-
assisted bicycle is an adult bicycle for people over the age of 14. If the
bicycle is used by a child, responsibility falls to the parents who must
supervise and ensure that
the user is able to use the bicycle safely.
Your bicycle is not intended for use on unpaved or damaged surfaces. It is not
intended for “off-road” use, nor for competitions. Failure to comply with this
intended use may result in a fall or an accident and may prematurely and
irremediably deteriorate the condition of your power-assisted bicycle.
Your power-assisted bicycle is not a moped. The aim of the assistance is to
provide a complement to your pedalling. The moment you start pedalling, the
engine will start and help you move forward. The assistance varies according
to the speed of the bicycle, significant at start-up, less so once the bicycle
has got going and then disappears when the bicycle reaches 25 km/h. The
assistance switches off as soon as one of the two brake levers is activated or
the speed exceeds 25
km/h. It will automatically resume below 23 km/h with pedalling.
It must be properly maintained according to the instructions in this user
guide.
WARNING: As for any mechanical component, a powerassisted bicycle is
subject to high stress and will wear out. The different materials and
components can react differently to wear or ageing. If the expected service
life of a component has been exceeded, it may suddenly break, presenting a
risk of injury to the cyclist. Cracks, scratches and discolouration in areas
subject to high stress indicate that the component has exceeded its service
life and must be replaced.
Recommendation : Safe use and safety tips
Before using your power-assisted bicycle, make sure that it is in good working
order. Pay particular attention to the following points:
- The riding position is comfortable
- Nuts, screws, clamping levers, the tightening of components
- The brakes are working properly
- The handlebar’s range of movement is correct, without excessive play and correctly attached to the stem
- The wheels are not blocked by anything and the bearings are properly adjusted
- The wheels are correctly tightened and attached to the frame/fork
- The tyres are in good condition and inflated to the correct pressure
- The condition of the wheel rims
- The pedals are firmly attached to the chain set
- How the transmission works
- The reflectors are correctly positioned.
RECOMMENDATION: Every 6 months, your powerassisted bicycle should be
professionally checked to ensure that it is in correct and safe working order.
It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that all components are in good
working order before use.
Choose a safe place away from traffic to familiarise yourself with your new
bicycle. The assistance can be triggered with force, check that your handlebar
is straight and that the road is clear.
Make sure you are in good health before getting on your bike.
In the event of unusual weather conditions (rain, cold, night, etc.), be
particularly vigilant and adapt your speed and your reactions accordingly.
When transporting your bicycle on the outside of your vehicle (bicycle rack,
roof rack, etc.), it is strongly recommended to remove the battery and store
it in a cool place.
The user must comply with the requirements of the national regulations when
the bicycle is used on public roads (lighting and signalling for example).
MGTS accepts no responsibility if the user of the bicycle does not comply with
the regulations in force.
WARNING : you acknowledge that you are responsible for any loss, injury
or damage caused by failure to comply with the above instructions, which will
automatically void the warranty.

First use and adjustments
- Adjustment of the seat post using the quick-release clamp****
WARNING:
the quick release systems are designed to be operated by hand. Never use tools
to block or unblock the mechanism to avoid damaging it. To adjust the clamping
force, you must use the adjustment nut (2 in the fig. above), located opposite
the lever (1 in the fig. above) rather than turning the quick-release clamp.
To lock or unlock the system, open the quick-release lever (1) and turn the
adjustment nut (2) by hand to loosen the clamp (3). To re-tighten, manually
turn the adjustment nut to tighten the clamp, then fold the lever.
Warning : make sure you have properly tightened the mechanism before
using the bicycle. If the lever can be operated with minimal manual pressure,
it means that it is not sufficiently tightened. The adjustment nut must
therefore be tightened without the use of tools.
Seat adjustment
A. When adjusting the seat (16) to its lowest position, make sure that it
does not touch any component of the bicycle, for example the luggage rack.
Also, be careful not to exceed the minimum seat post insertion mark. This
insertion mark should never be visible when the bicycle is in use.
B. To check the correct height of the seat, sit with your legs
straightand your heel resting on the pedal (fig. B). When pedalling, yourknee
will be slightly bent once the foot is in the low position (fig.A).
WARNING: it is important to fit a cover onto the seat springs if a child
seat is installed in order to prevent any risks of fingers becoming trapped.
Handlebar adjustment
Both the height and tilt of your bicycle handlebars can be adjusted.
* Immersion stem (8)
Your bicycle is equipped with a so-called “immersion” stem, whose height is
adjusted by modifying the insertion of the stem inside the pivot tube of the
frame.
To adjust the height of the handlebars, loosen the clamping screw using a 6 mm
hex wrench and raise or lower the stem to the desired height.

Charging the battery
Before handling the battery, the “Battery” and “Charger” sections of this user guide must be read to avoid any damage. The bicycle battery must be charged before the power assistance can be used. To do this, plug the charger pack plug into a 220 V electrical outlet and connect the charging cable to the battery socket (19), located at the rear of the bike, under the luggage rack, beneath a protective cover. On the top of the battery (19), the charge indicator shows you the battery charge level. Press the indicator button to activate it. Close the cover on the charging socket when the operation is complete. -
Positioning of the safety elements Lighting
You are provided with a lighting system that is composed of tworeflectors (a white included in the headlight and a red fixed on the rearlight), a headlight, a rear light, two other orange reflectors positionedbetween the wheel spokes. The reflective tyres ensure that you will bebetter seen from the side.
The lighting system is a safety mechanism for your bicycle and as such it must
be present on your bike. Make sure that your lighting system works properly
before riding.
If necessary, you can change the batteries in your lighting system.
Used batteries contain metals that are harmful to the environment. They can be
returned to our stores to be disposed off appropriately. Do not dispose of
them with household waste or into the environment. Batteries must be collected
separately.
External battery-operated front light
Remove the upper transparent part of the headlight by applying pressure on the
notch located behind the casing. Once the unit has been removed, you can
remove the two button batteries (CR2032) and replace them, observing the
polarity indicated. Put the transparent part back in position. Turn the front
light on/off by moving the small switch located on top of the lamp.
External battery rear light
Remove the transparent part using a screwdriver. Once the unit has been
removed, you can remove the two batteries (LR6 AAA) and replace them,
observing the polarity indicated. Put the transparent part back in position.
Turn the rear light on/off by moving the small switch located on the back of
the lamp.
Bell
A bell is fitted to your handlebars. It can be heard within a range of 50 m.
The bell is a safety device for your bike and as such must be present on your
handlebars.
Wearing a helmet
For safe use, wearing a bicycle helmet is strongly recommended. It reduces the
risk of skull injuries in the case of falls.
WARNING : wearing a helmet is obligatory for children under 14 years old
whether they are riders or passengers.
For more information, ask your retailer.
Quick start
WARNING: read the instructions and safety recommendations in this manual
carefully before using the power-assisted bicycle.
Your safety and the proper functioning of your bicycle depend on this.
Once your bike is set up, press the “ON/OFF” button (20) of the battery, then
step on it and start pedalling. After two turns of the pedal, the power-
assisted engine will start and provide you with additional driving force. A
slight humming an be heard, indicating that the engine is on. If you stop
pedalling, the engine turns off and the bike slows down, then stops like a
standard bike. Press on one of the brake levers to brake.
Settings
- Tyres
Check tyre pressures regularly. Riding with insufficiently inflated or overinflated tyres can adversely affect performance, cause premature wear, reduce battery life or increase the risk of accident.
If there is significant wear or there is a visible groove on one of the tyres, replace it before using the bicycle. The manufacturer provides a pressure range on the side of the wheel rim and in the following table. The pressure should be adapted to the weight of the user.| Pressure

Before each use, check that the front and rear brakes are in perfect working order.
The lever on the right activates the rear brake. The lever on the left activates the front brake.
It is recommended that you distribute your braking force approximately 60/40 between the front and rear. The brake lever should not be in contact with the handlebars, and the sheaths should not be bent at right angles so that the cables can slide with a minimum of friction. Damaged, frayed or rusty cables must be changed immediately.
This model is equipped at the front with a V-brake and for the rear with a brake in the rear hub called a Roller brake.
WARNING: In rain or damp weather, braking distances are longer. It is recommended to pre-empt your braking in this situation.
When cornering and braking, the handlebar can have a negative influence on the response time of the cyclist.
Roller brake in the rear hub
SHIMANO multi-purpose roller brakes use a precision cam and roller mechanism
that produces braking that is both powerful and easy to control. The cooling
disc with large radial fins efficiently dissipates heat, thus preventing
weakening of the braking due to heating and increasing the life of the
lubricant. Sealing channels prevent the entry of water and dirt to guarantee
very safe and reliable braking in the rain and in dry weather.
Roller brake adjustment, Shimano Roller brake:
After checking that the wheel does notturn easily when the brake cable
ispulled, press the brake lever about 10times as far as possible towards
thehandle in order to break in the brakecable. (a) Press about 10 times
Turn the cable adjustment bolt (A) of the brake unit or the brake lever so
that there is a play of 15 mm (b) (11 mm for the BL-C6010) in the brake lever.
(The brake lever play is the distance from the position where the brake lever
is not actuated to the position where a force is suddenly felt when the brake
lever is pulled.)
After pressing on the brake lever to check the braking performance, fix the
cable adjustment bolt with the cable adjustment nut (B).
V-Brake adjustment
The pads exert pressure directly on the rim of the wheel. The intensity of the
pressure is controlled by a lever connected to the brake by a cable. Do not
operate the brake lever when the wheel is detached from the frame.

Position the caliper arms vertically and parallel using the correct cable tension. Once the cable position has been defined, tighten the cable with the appropriate screw.

Align the pad with the side of the wheel rim.
-
Adjust the distance between the pads and the wheel rim, from 1 to 3 mm, to increase the efficiency of the braking.
-
Move the back of the pad a little away from the rim.
-
Adjust the symmetry of the calipers by balancing the return springs of the right and left calipers.
-
A nut and lock nut system on the brake lever allows you to adjust the cable tension and therefore the braking force which will vary over time depending on the wear of the brake pads.
Replacing the brake pads
V-brake
- Unscrew the pads using a 5mm hex wrench.
- Place the new pads on the caliper, in the correct direction.
- Tighten the pads, while respecting the adjustment.
Roller brake
Maintenance or repair of the coaster brake must be carried out by a qualified
technician.
Wear of the wheel rims
Like any part subject to wear, the wheel rim should be checked regularly. The
wheel rim can weaken and break, causing you to lose control and fall.
WARNING: it is very important to check the wear of the wheel rims. If the
mark becomes invisible with a V-brake, this means that the rim has reached its
maximum wear for safe use. A damaged wheel rim can be very dangerous and must
be replaced. Adjust the brake pads to maintain a 1-1.5mm spacing with the rim.
3. Adjusting the gear changing system
Your bike has several manually interchangeable gears thanks to a Shimano Nexus
7 speed system integrated into the rear hub. This transmission system does not
use a derailleur: the gear shift takes place inside the hub. Use the right-
hand lever to make the desired change.
The higher the indicator (1 = easy, 7 = hard), the more difficult it will be
to pedal and vice versa.
Attention, never pedal backwards during the gear change and never force the
control lever.
For optimal use of the system, it is recommended that you do not change gear
when you are pedalling hard.
Be sure to shift one gear at a time on the speed selector. When shifting gear,
reduce the force applied to the pedals. It is possible to change gears by
pedalling gently, but on rare occasions, the ratchets inside the hub may make
a slight click afterwards, as part of a normal gear shift operation. These
noises are the normal result of the structure of the internal gear shift
mechanism and are not indicative of any malfunction.
4. Adjusting the chain
Your bicycle has only one sprocket, the chain is automatically tensioned by
the correct tightening of the wheel in the frame. To adjust the chain tension,
loosen the nuts on either side of the hub and pull the wheel towards the
bottom of the notch, making sure that the axis remains perpendicular, then
tighten the nuts. Make sure it is properly tightened before using the bicycle.
5. Replacing the chain
Since new chains are sold with too many links, the first step is to reduce it
to the correct length. The most secure way is to count the number of links in
the old chain in order to adjust the new one. To remove the old chain, simply
undo a rivet.
Once it has been removed, the new one must be fitted. To fit the new chain,
pass it around the chainring of the chain set and the rear sprocket so that it
engages correctly on the other gear elements. To fasten the chain closed, we
recommend using a quick clamp. This acts as a female link which will be
inserted between two male links. Next, the quick clamp also allows you to
remove the chain more easily for cleaning.
In order to check if the length of the chain is correct, it must be put on the
small sprocket. In this configuration, the virtual line drawn between the
wheel hub of the rear wheel and the axis of the lower derailleurpulley should
be vertical.
6. Replacing the pedals
To change your pedals, identify the pedals by looking at the letter noted on
the pedal. The right pedal is marked “R” (Right) and the left pedal is marked
“L” (Left). Turn the pedal R clockwise to fix it onto the crank arm. Turn the
L pedal anti-clockwise.
7. Wheel and engine
After the first month of use, it is advisable to tighten your spokes to limit
the impact of engine traction on your rear wheel. A slight noise may be heard
when the engine is started. This noise is normal because the engine starts and
assists pedalling. This noise can become louder when in full use.

Your bike is sold with a rear luggage rack and a front luggage rack:

They are already attached above your rear wheel and your front wheel. The
fixing elements must be tightened and checked regularly at a torque of 4 – 6
Nm. Your rear luggage rack is designed for a maximum load of 25 kg and a child
seat can be attached to it. The front luggage rack is designed for a maximum
load of 10 kg.
WARNING: your luggage rack is not designed to pull a trailer.
For safety reasons, luggage must only be carried on the luggage rack.
When the luggage rack is loaded, the bearing of your bicycle changes.
Spread the luggage load equally on both sides to help keep yourbicycle stable.
All luggage must be securely stowed on the luggagerack, before each use it is
important to check that nothing is hanging in the void and risks being caught
in the rear wheel of the bicycle. Do notmake arbitrary adjustments to the
luggage rack; please ask yourretailer for advice if you need to have it
adjusted. Do not makemodifications to the luggage rack; any modification of
the luggage rackby the user will invalidate these instructions. Luggage should
notobscure the reflectors and lights on your bike.
9. Kickstand
Before each use, make sure that your stand is folded up.
Maintenance
Your bicycle requires regular maintenance for your safety but also to prolong
its useful life. It is important to check the mechanical elements periodically
in order that worn-out parts or those showing signs of wear are replaced if
necessary.
When replacing a component, it is important to use original brand parts in
order to preserve the bicycle’s performance and reliability. Ensure that
appropriate spare parts are used for tyres, inner tubes, gear system
components and the various components of the braking system.
The user is responsible should they use parts different from the original
parts.
WARNING: always remove the battery before carrying out maintenance.

Cleaning
To avoid corrosion of the bicycle, it should be regularly rinsed in fresh water, especially if it has been exposed to sea air.
It should be cleaned with a sponge, a bowl of warm soapy water and a hosepipe (without pressure).
WARNING: be especially careful not to use a high pressure water jet cleaner. -
Lubrication
Lubrication is essential on the various components that move, in order to avoid corrosion. Regularly grease the chain, brush the sprockets and chainrings and periodically trickle a few drops of lubricant into the brake and derailleur cable sheaths.
We recommend starting by cleaning and drying the components to be lubricated.
It is advisable to use specific oil for the chain and the derailleur. Grease must be used for the other components. -
Regular checks
Check the tightness of the bolts: lever, crank, pedals, stems. The tightening torques to be applied are as follows: COMPONENTS| RECOMMENDED TORQUE (Nm)| SPECIFIC GUIDELINES

The other tightening torques depend on the size of the nuts: M4: 2.5 to 4.0
Nm, M5: 4.0 to 6.0 Nm, M6: 6.0 to 7.5 Nm. Tighten the screws evenly to the
required torque.
Regularly check the tyres and in particular the tread of the rear tyre: wear,
cuts, cracks, pinching. Replace the tyre if necessary. Check the wheel rims
for excessive wear, warping, denting, cracks…
- Servicing
For safety reasons and to keep the components in good working order, you should have your bicycle regularly serviced by your retailer. Your bicycle should also undergo regular maintenance by a qualified technician.
First service: 1 month or 150 km
- Check the components are properly tightened: crank arm, wheel, stem, pedals, handlebars, seat clamp,
- Check the power assistance system is working correctly,
- Check and adjust the brakes,
- Tighten and/or straighten the wheels.
Every year or 2000 km:
- Check the wear levels (brake pads, gear system, tyres),
- Check the power assistance system is working correctly,
- Check the bearings (chain set unit, wheels, steering, pedals),
- Check the cables (brakes, derailleur),
- Check the lighting,
- Tighten and/or straighten the wheels.
Every 3 years or 6000 km:
- Replace the gear system (chain, freewheel, chainring),
- Check the power assistance system is working correctly,
- Tyre change,
- Check the wheels for wear (spokes, wheel rims),
- Tighten the spokes and/or straighten the wheels,
- Change the brake pads,
- Check the electric functions.
Pedalling assistance and battery
The user must rotate the chain set forward to benefit from the
motorisedassistance. This is an important safety feature. This power-
assistedbicycle provides motorised assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h.Beyond
that, the engine will stop. You can go faster, but you will have to do it on
your own, without any power assistance.
The engine will not operate until you have completed one full turn of the
chain set. This feature protects the engine and its controller, and extends
the life of electrical components.
I. Pedalling assistance
To start the bike, turn on the main switch on the side of the battery
“ON/OFF”.
The rest of the settings and information are accessed directly on the display
located on the handlebars.
RECOMMENDATION : turn off the main switch on the battery when you are no
longer in the seat. This saves the battery charge.

The LED display is as follows:

Activation/deactivation of the LED display
To activate the assistance, press the “ON/OFF” button on the display once. The red charging and assistance level LEDs turn on.
To deactivate the assistance, press and hold the “ON/OFF” button for 2 seconds. The red charging and assistance level LEDs turn off. -
Displaying the battery charge on the LED display
Under normal conditions, activate the power supply and the four LEDs will indicate the battery charge level. When they are all on, it means that charge is at maximum level. If the last one is flashing, it means that the battery must be charged immediately before using the bicycle.DISPLAY| CHARGE LEVEL

If the user forgets to turn off the power after 5 minutes of inactivity, the four LEDs will light up one after the other to remind the user to turn off the power and save energy.
- Selecting the assistance level on the LED display
When the power is on, you can choose between 6 assistance levels.
Press the “+” or “-” buttons to select one of these six assistance levels.
When the power is on, the “LOW” assistance LED lights up continuously, which means that the assistance is at level 2. To increase the level, press the “+” button, to decrease it, press on “-” ».LED DISPLAY| ASSISTANCE LEVEL

• By selecting a high assistance level (5 and 6), the battery usage will be
increased and the effort needed from the user will be lower. These levels are
suitable for slopes, headwinds or heavy loads.
• Medium assistance levels (3 and 4) mean that the user effort and battery
usage are equal.
• The low assistance levels (1 and 2) mean that the propulsion of the bicycle
comes more from the effort of the user than from the
use of the battery. These are therefore energy saving modes. We suggest that
you use assistance level 1 when using the bicycle for sports.
- Hands-free assistance on the LED display
Press and hold the “+” button to use the “assisted start” function to make start-up easier. When the starting help is used, the assistance does not exceed 6 km/h.
As soon as the “+” button is released, the starting help stops.
Battery handling

Reading the battery charge level
To find out your charge level, press the charge button located on the top of your battery once.
The 5 LEDs light up to indicate the charging status, then go out after 4 seconds.DISPLAY| CHARGE LEVEL

Switching the battery on/off
To turn on your battery, press the red “ON/OFF” button, located at the back under the battery. Press it again to turn it off. When your battery is off, it no longer supplies electricity to your bike, however the battery charge display remains functional. -
Inserting/removing the battery
The battery on electric bikes is placed on the rear luggage rack and is directly connected to the control unit at the front.
WARNING: before handling the battery, make sure the switch is in the off position.
To install the battery, first slide the battery pack horizontally along the rail, while pressing down on it to make sure it is securely in place, then lock.
To lock, insert the key into the lock and turn it clockwise by half a turn (the battery and luggage rack are then locked). You can unlock it withhalf a turn anti-clockwise.
WARNING: remember to remove the key and keep it safe after removing the battery from the luggage rack!

Using the charger
Before charging the battery, please read the user manual and the charger manual if these are supplied with your bike. Please also note the following points relating to the battery charger:
• Follow the instructions on the battery charger label.
• Do not use this charger near explosive gases or corrosive substances.
• Do not shake, knock, or drop the charger.
• Always protect the charger from rain and humidity; it is for indoor use only.
• The temperature tolerance of this charger is between 0 and 40°C.
• You must not dismantle the charger; in the event of a problem, take the device to a qualified repairer.
• You should only use the charger that came with your electric bike to avoid damage. Note that failure to comply with this constraint will void the warranty.
• When charging, the battery and the charger must be at least 10 cm from the wall, in a dry and ventilated place. Do not place anything in the immediate vicinity of the charger during use.
• Do not touch the charger for too long during charging (risk of superficial burns).
• Do not position the charger in an unstable place.
• Do not cover the charger to avoid it overheating when charging.
• Do not submerge the product.
• Avoid all contact with water when the battery is charging. Do not touch the charger with wet hands.
• Do not use the charger with a damaged power cord or plugs.
Make sure that the charger plug is properly connected to the mains for charging.
• Do not short-circuit the charger pins by using a metal object.
• Disconnect the power supply before connecting or disconnecting the connections to the battery.
• This charger is designed to charge lithium batteries, do not charge another type of battery. Do not use it on a nonrechargeable battery.
• This bicycle can be used by children aged from 14 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the bike in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children should not play on the bicycle. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the bicycle.
• Keep out of reach of children; this product is not a toy.
• The external flexible cable of this product cannot be replaced; if the cord is damaged, the product should be discarded.
• At the end of its life, take the bike to a recycling centre. -
Charging process
If a power outlet is available near your bicycle, you can charge the battery directly on the bicycle without detaching it. The charger port is covered by a plastic cap, simply open it to charge the battery directly. Removing the battery can be useful in places that cannot accommodate your bike or when it is not near a power outlet.
RECOMMENDATION: the battery should be charged indoors in a ventilated area.
Please charge the bicycle battery according to the following procedure:
• The battery can be charged using a standard power outlet. You do not need to activate its switch.
• Insert the charger plug into the battery and plug the charger power cable into a nearby socket.
• When charging, the LED on the charger will be red to show that it is working correctly. When it turns green, it means that the battery is charged.
• To finish the charging, you must disconnect the power plug and then the plug connected to the battery. Finally close the cap of the battery socket.
Battery
This power-assisted bicycle is fitted with a high quality Li-ion battery.
Li-ion batteries do not have a charge memory and have a wide temperature
tolerance ranging from -10 to 40°C.
To ensure maximum battery life and protect it from damage, please follow the
use and care instructions below.

Battery life
After charging your battery, it is advisable to let it sit 20 to 30 minutes before use.
Your battery life depends on several usage factors:
• The assistance mode selected
• The weight of the rider
• The elevation of the road
• The tyre inflation
• The wind
• The pedalling effort provided
• Start and frequency of stops
• The outside temperature -
Warning, precautions
It is recommended that the battery is charged regularly, or after each use. These batteries do not have a memory effect.
In order to maximise the life of your battery, it is advisable:
• To avoid hot places (ideal charging temperature 20°C)
• Allow the battery to cool down for 30 minutes after using the bicycle
Precautions for use:
• Only use the battery for this bike.
• Only use the specific charger supplied to charge the battery.
• Only charge the battery in a properly ventilated area.
• Do not expose the battery to heat or charge it in direct sunlight.
• Do not disassemble or modify the unit and the battery that is built into the unit.
• Do not connect the (+) and (-) battery connections with a metal object.
• Do not expose the battery to liquids.
• Do not use a damaged battery.
• Do not continue to charge the battery if the charge is not complete after the theoretical charging time.
• Do not use the battery if it emits an unusual smell, becomes unusually hot or if something seems abnormal.
• Keep the battery out of the reach of children.
• Charge your battery before a prolonged period of storage and repeat this operation after the storage period. -
Battery life
Batteries can suffer from ageing in their performance after a large number of charges. This will depend on the usage patterns of the power-assisted bicycle.
You must dispose of your used batteries at your local store or specialised recycling depot. Most importantly, do not throw your end of life battery into the environment. -
Battery maintenance
To ensure maximum battery life and protect it from damage, please follow the use and care instructions below:
When you notice that the charge drops to 10%, the battery needs to be charged quickly.
RECOMMENDATION : if the bicycle is not used frequently for a certain period of time, it must be fully recharged every month. The battery case must be stored in a dry, protected place, at a temperature between 5 and 35°C.
WARNING:
• The battery life may be reduced if it is in storage for a long time without regular charging as described above.
• Do not use any metal to directly connect two poles of the battery as this could cause it to short circuit.
• Never place the battery near a fireplace or other heat source.
• Do not shake, knock, or drop the battery.
• When the battery pack is removed from the bicycle, keep it out of the reach of children to prevent accidents.
• You must not open the battery. -
Using and maintaining the electric engine
Our power-assisted bicycles are programmed to start the power assistance after half a turn of the chain set.
Do not use the bicycle in flooded areas or during thunderstorms. Do not immerse electrical components in water to avoid damage. Avoid knocks to the engine to prevent damaging it. -
Controller maintenance
It is very important to take good care of the controller according to the following instructions:
• Protect the controller against water infiltration and immersion.
Note: If you suspect that water has seeped inside the casing, turn off the battery immediately and continue without power assistance. You can restart it as soon as the controller is dry.
• Do not shake, knock, or drop the controller.
WARNING: do not open the controller casing. Any attempt to open, modify, or adjust the controller unit will void the warranty. Please ask your retailer or a qualified professional to carry out repairs. Any modification to the configuration of the electric management system, in particular a change to the speed limit, is strictly prohibited and you will lose the guarantee of your bicycle.

Basic troubleshooting
Do not attempt to access or repair an electrical component yourself.
Contact the specialist closest to you for maintenance carried out by a qualified person.

LCD display:
The speed is not displayed on the LCD screen.| The magnetic ball installed on the spoke of the wheel is too far from the sensor (fixed to the rear of the frame or to the front fork), which prevents the sensor from receiving the signal when the wheel turns.| Check the distance between the magnetic ball and the
sensor and make sure it does not exceed 5 mm.
Troubleshooting charger issues:
- The red light does not work during charging: check that the connectors are correctly connected. Check that the nominal voltage is correct; if so, please check the condition of thecharger. If the latter is good, this means the battery is likely to be defective.
- Red light does not turn green: turn off the power. After 5 seconds, reconnect the power supply and the charger can continue to charge. If the battery no longer charges, this means it is likely to be defective.
- The red light immediately turns green: check that the battery is fully charged. If it is not, the battery or charger is faulty.
- If the fuse has blown: do not disassemble the charger but take it to a qualified repairer who will replace the fuse with a new one with the same characteristics (T3.15 A/250 V).
