Connections

Connect the antenna. This unit can receive DAB/DAB+ and FM stations with the DAB antenna.

Connect the AC adaptor after all other connections are completed.
This unit consumes a small amount of AC power ( —.10) even when turned off.
- In the Interest of energy conservation. if you will n be using thk$ unit for an extended period of unplug it from the mains socket
- Some settings will be lost after you disconnect the system. You have to set them again.
Remote control
Remote Control Operation
Insert the batteries into the remote control. Point the remote control at the
remote sense( on the front panel. The remote control works within a distance
of about 8 metres from the sensor and within an angle of about 30 degrees from
the left and right side.
Battery Installation

Remove the battery compartment cover on the baCk of the remote control.

Load one AAA/1.5V battery Into the battery compartmeM inakkbg sure that the battery have been inserted with the cared polarities matching the symbols +. – as Indicated Inside the battery compartment.

STANDBY| • Press to switch on the unit. Press It again to put the unit in
standby mode.

OPEN/COLSE| • Press to open or close the disc tray.
SLEEP| • Press repeatedly to select a sleep time 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes
and the unit will go to standby mode automatically. Select OFF to disable the
sleep function.
• Press and hold [TIMER) button on the remote control to access alarm 1
setting menu, <Alarm 1 Setup> displayed. repeatedly press (TIMER) button on
remote control to select between <Alarm 1 Setup> and <Alarm 2 Setup>, press (
) button to confirm it. The alarm timer setting include Alarm 1/2 setup.
The Alarm 1/2 setup part: Alarm 1/2 wizard On lime-Duration-Source-Cycle-
Volume-Alarm on/off. Press ( ) and/or ( to select an option and/or
adjust the setting, then press ( ) to confirm.
DIMMER| • Press repeatedly to adjust the display brightness of the display
screen.
• Press and hold 3 seconds to change to Bluetooth• mode.
• Press and hold 3 seconds to Bluetoothe disconnected.
CLOCK| • In power on or standby mode. press this button enter into clock set
mode. press ( )( )button to set the desired dock (hour/minute/date), press
[ ll button to confirm it.
INPUT| • Press repeatedly to switch among CD, USB, LINE IN, DAB, FM and
Bluetoothe mode.
AUTO| • Press to stop a playback.
• Press to do auto scanning radio channels.
| • Press to temporarily pause a playback. Press It again to resume the
playback.
| • Press to skip to the next track.
• Hold down for fast forward playback.
| • Press to skip to the previous track.
• Hold down for fast rewind playback.
| • Press [VOLUME+) to turn up the volume.
| • Press [VOLUME-) to turn down the volume.
RANDOM| • In stop mode, place a CD/USB and press IPGIA) to access to the
program mode. Press the arrows [ ****) to select the desired trackand
press once again MGM] to confirm your selection. Press( ****) to start program
playback.
• Press and hold to switch the random play mode.
MUTE| • Press to temporarily switch off the sound. Press it again to switch it
on.
INTRO| • Press and hold to introduce the back of the disc/USB device in order,
it takes approximate ten seconds for each track.
• Press to display the radio station information.
REPEAT| • Press repeatedly to switch the repeat modes.
• Press and hold to enter the menu.
TUNE+| • Press this button for each time to increase ten tracks.
• Press this button to fine tune (increase) the frequency in FM radio.
• Press and hold this button to increase the frequency continuously In FM
radio.
TUNE-| • Press this button for each tine to decrease ten tracks.
• Press this button to fine tune (decrease) the frequency in FM radio.
• Press and hold this button to decrease the frequency continuously in FM
radio.
FOLD+| • Press to skip the next folder.
FOLD- | • Press to return to the previous folder.
| • Press to switch the equalizer modes.
Basic Playback
Listening to FM Radio
- Press [INPUT] button on the remote control to select the FM mode.
- Select a desired radio station by pressing the [TUNE+] or [TUNE-] button repeatedly.
- To automatically search for the next/previous available radio station, press and hold the [TUNE+] or [TUNE-] button.
FM Menu
- Main set: Press and hold [VOLUME] button on the unit. Inside the menu you can select between following menu items by rotate the volume knob. Press [SELECT] to enter menu and to confirm a selection. To return/exit menu items press [ ] button.
- Remote control: Press [MENU] button on the remote control. Inside the menu you can select between following menu items by [ ] or ( ] button. Press [ ] to enter menu and to confirm a selection. To return/exit menu items press [MENU] button.
Scan setting: Select the scan sensitivity (Strong stations only or All
stations).
Audio setting: Select the audio setting (stereo allowed or forced mono).
System: The system menu included Sleep, Alarm,Time, Back light, Language,
Factory Reset, Software Upgrade and SW version option.
Sleep: Set sleep timer. Alarm: Set alarm timer. Time: The Time setting include
set Time/Date, Auto update, Set 12/24 hour and Set date format option.
Backlight: The backlight consist of Timeout, On level and Dim level option.
These option can be used to set desired backlight effect on display.
Language: Set the different languages.
Factory Reset: Reset the unit (No/Yes).
Software Upgrade: Upgrade the unit (No/Yes).
SW version: View software version.
Auto Search Radio Stations for FM
Press [AUTO] button to do auto scanning for the broadcasting radio channels,
press it again to stop auto scanning.
Manually Store Radio Stations for FM
This unit enables to store up to 30 radio stations:
- Tune to a radio station which you would like to store.
- Press and hold [PGM] button for 3 seconds, the display will show “Preset Store”.
- Select a desired preset (1 – 30) on which you want to store the current frequency by pressing the [ ] or ( ] button to select.
- Press the [ ►/ II] button to enter/confirm your setting. “Preset stored” will be shown in the display.
- To recall a stored frequency, press [PGM] or [ ] buttons to s elect until you reach the desired preset. Alternatively you can press the [PGM] button, select the desired preset using the [ ] or [ ] buttons and playing the selected preset by pressing the [ ] button.
Listening to DAB
Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) is a way of broadcasting radio digitally
through a network of transmitter. It provides you with more choice, better
sound quality and more information.
- Power on the unit, press [INPUT] button repeatedly to select DAB mode and the display will show “FULL SCAN” and the system auto scanning stations.
- Press and hold [MENU] button to enter DAB menu then press [ ] or [ ] to select the menu options as below.
- Press [ ] button to confirm operation.
Full scan: Scan and store all the available DAB radio stations.
Manual tune: Tune to a DAB station manually.
DRC: Select (dynamic range control) DRC/off. Prune: Remove all the invalid
stations from the station list.
System: Please refer to the FM system. Select a desired preset recall radio
station by pressing [PGM] ,then press the [ ] or [ ] buttons to select and
press the [ ] button to enter/confirm the selected station.
Manually Store Radio Stations for DAB
This unit enables to store up to 30 radio stations:
- Tune to a radio station which you would like to store.
- Press and hold [PGM] button for 3 seconds, the display will show “Preset Store”.
- Select a desired preset (1 – 30) on which you want to store the current frequency by pressing the the [ ] or [ ] button to select.
- Press the [ ] button to enter/confirm your setting. “Preset stored” will be shown in the display.
- To recall a stored frequency, press [ ] or [ ) buttons to select until you reach the desired preset. Alternatively you can press the [PGM] button, select the desired preset using the [ ] or [ ] buttons and playing the selected preset by pressing the [ ] button. Info Display To display information (if broadcast by station) repeatedly press the [INFO] button on the unit.
LINE IN
This unit has an extra group of audio input terminal. You can input the
analogue stereo audio signals from extra devices such as VCD, CD, VCR, MP3
player, etc. 1. Use the audio cable to connect the stereo audi output
terminals of a VCD, CD, VCR player to the input terminal (LINE IN) of this
unit. 2. Select LINE IN mode by pressing [INPUT] button to corresponding
signal source.
USB Playback
- Insert an USB drive to USB port of this unit.
- Press [INPUT] button to switch to the USB mode and the unit will play the MP3 music automatically.
- If play does not start automatically, press [ ] button.
- To skip to previous/next track, press [ or buttons.
Bluetooth® operations
The Bluetooth° pairing name of the unit is SC-DM202.
- Power on unit, press [INPUT] button or press and hold [ ] button on remote control to select Bluetooth° mode. At this time, “Bluetooth Ready” will be flashing on the display screen.
- Select “SC-DM202” from the Bluetooth° device’s Bluetooth° menu. “Connected” is indicated on the display (if prompted for the passkey, input “0000”).
- Start playback on the Bluetooth° device.
• Press [►/ II ] to pause or resume the playback.
• Press [ ] or [ ] to skip track.
• This unit can only be connected to one device at a time.
• When “Bluetooth” is selected as the source, this unit will automatically try and connect to the last connected Bluetooth° device.
Disconnecting a Bluetooth® device
While a Bluetooth° device is connected, press and hold [ ] until “Bluetooth
Ready” is flashing on the display screen.
- The Bluetooth° device will be disconnected if a different audio source (e.g., “DAB”) is selected.

- This system uses the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
■ Certification of this device
- This system conforms to frequency restrictions and has received certification based on frequency laws. Thus, a wireless permit is not necessary.
- The actions below are punishable by law in some countries:
— Taking apart or modifying the system.
— Removing specification indications.
■ Restrictions of use
- Wireless transmission and/or usage with all Bluetooth° equipped devices is not guaranteed.
- All devices must conform to standards set by Bluetooth SIG, Inc.
- Depending on the specifications and settings of a device, it can fall to connect or some operations can be different.
- This system supports Bluetooth security features. But depending on the operating environment and/or settings, this security is possibly not sufficient. Transmit data wirelessly to this system with caution.
- This system cannot transmit data to a Bluetoothe device.

- Use this device at a maximum range of 10 m. The range can decrease depending on the environment, obstacles or interference.
■ Interference from other devices
- This system may not function properly and troubles such as noise and sound Jumps may arise due to radio wave interference if this system is located too close to other BluetootifdevIces or the devices that use the 2.4 GHz band.
- This system may not function properly If radio waves from a nearby broadcasting station. etc. is too strong.
■ Intended usage
- This system is for normal, general use only.
- Do not use this system near an equipment or in an environment that is sensitive to radio frequency interference (example: airports, hospitals, laboratories, etc.)

Troubleshooting
Before resorting to maintenance service, please kindly check by yourself with the following chart.

• Press [MUTE] on the remote control to switch on the sound.
Unable to play a disc| • This disc is placed in the disc tray in a wrong way.
• The unit isn’t compatible with the disc.
• The disc is dirty.| • Check that the disc is placed in the disc tray with
its label side upwards.
• Replace with a compatible disc.
• Clean the disc.
The player breaks down when a USB drive is inserted into the player.| • The
connected USB drive is probably not a certified one.| • The player cannot play
any uncertified USB drive. In case the player breaks down, turn it off,
disconnect the power cord from the AC outlet and unplug the USB drive from the
player. Then, power on the player again.
The buttons on the unit doesn’t work.| • The unit is being interfered with
static electricity etc.| • Switch off and unplug the unit. Then connect the
plug to the power supply and switch it on again.
The remote control does not function.| • There is no battery in the remote
control.
• The batteries are out of charge.
• The remote control isn’t pointed to the remote sensor.
• The remote control is out of its operating area.
• The unit is shut down.| • Install one AAA/1.5V battery in it.
• Replace the batteries with new ones.
• Make sure that the remote control is pointed to the remote control sensor.
• Make sure the remote control is within the operating area.
• Switch off the unit and disconnect it from the AC outlet. Then power on the
unit again.
