Caution

  If swallowed, please consult your doctor immediately.

• If battery liquids go into the eye, immediately contact a doctor. If battery liquids come in contact with skin or clothes, immediately wash with water.

• Please have the parents or guardians change the batteries.

• Please do not use old batteries with new batteries, or use different battery brands together.

• Please set the battery in its proper + and – position.

• Do not short-circuit, recharge, dismantle, heat, or place the battery into a fire.

• Please follow your local district and area rules when discarding the product or batteries.

• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.

• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

Please be careful not to place Tamagotchi in the washer or dryer.

Product Details

Takemichi Hanagaki’s Arrival

1. Pull out the tab from the casing.
   ►A sound will ring, and the time setting screen will appear.

2. Reset instructions Press on the reset button on the back of the casing with a thin-tipped object to perform a reset.
   ►A sound will ring if successful. *Do not press hard on the reset button using sharp objects, such as mechanical pencils, to prevent damage to the device. Please press the reset button after changing the batteries.

3. Setting the clock Use the A button to set the time in order of “hours”— “minutes”. Use the B button to confirm the changes. Press the C button to return a step back. *Be sure to set the time properly to “AM” or-PM”.

4. Takemichi Hanagaki’s Arrival Once the time is set, Takemichi Hanagaki’s part-timer life will be displayed and then a 26-year-old Takemichi Hanagaki will arrive. “Please refer to “Reset instructions” if the device or screen doesn’t function properly. ‘There is no save function to the product. Please be warned that changing batteries or going through the “Reset instructions” will reset your current play data.

Clock Controls

To view the time
Press the B button while the character is on screen to open the clock screen. Pressing the B button again will return you to the character display screen.
To adjust the time
Press the B button to transition to the clock screen, then press the A button while the C button is pressed to transition to the clock setting screen.
To set the time, please follow the instructions under “Setting the clock” (see “2. Takemichi Hanagaki’s Arrival”).

Turning the sound on and off

Press the A button while the C button is pressed during the character display screen to transition to the sound select screen. Use the A button to select between “ON” or “OFF” then press the B button to confirm the change.
*Please be warned that turning the sound “OFF” will prevent the character call from making a sound.

Changing Batteries

Low batteries may cause the screen to go
blank and may lead to control loss. Please replace the batteries when the replace battery icon is displayed.

1. Remove the battery cover located on the back of the device.
   ①-1 Use and turn a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow,
   ①-2 Remove battery cover.

2. Remove the batteries and replace them with new batteries (2 x LR44 batteries; sold separately) making sure that the and of the batteries are properly set. *Always replace both batteries at the same time.

3. While making sure the hook of the cover is properly set on the back of the device, turn the screwdriver in the opposite direction as ①-1 to close the cover.
   After replacing the batteries please reset the device. (see “2. Takemichi Hanagaki’s Arrival”)

How to take care

Call
When the character calls for you, you will need to take the proper action depending on the state of the character. If you miss a call from the character, press the C button to confirm the character’s status.

Kid’s Meal
If the character is hungry, press the A button to open the menu screen, then press the A button to scroll to and the B button to confirm, to feed the character a Kid’s Meal. (If the character is “Baji” or “Chifuyu” feed them a Cup Yakisoba. [ ] ) *You cannot feed the character a Cup Yakisoba when they are full, a delinquent is attacking, or if they are pouting.
Taiyaki

If the character is unhappy, press the A button to open the menu screen, then press the A button to scroll to and B button to confirm, to feed the character a Taiyaki. You cannot feed the character a Taiyaki when a delinquent is attacking, or if they are pouting.
Lights When the character sleeps, press the A button to open the menu screen, then press the A button to scroll to [ ] and the B button to confirm, to turn off the lights. (When the character is sleeping, the only options available are, lights options, clock controls, and sound controls.)
Deliquents Attack The character will periodically be attacked by delinquents.
The delinquents will occupy more of the screen over time. Press the A button to fight off the delinquents before they completely occupy the screen. You cannot fight off the delinquents while the character is sleeping or pouting.
Mini Game There are three mini games.
Press the A button to open the Menu, then press the A button to select [ ]and the B button to confirm. Choose one of the three games by pressing the A button and the B button to confirm. *You cannot play Mini Games when a delinquent is attacking, or if the  haracter is sleeping or pouting.
Mini Game/Bike Race
Dodge the traffic cones by pressing the buttons.
(A button: Up / B button: Down) Dodge 10 cones in a row to get a perfect. It will be considered a fail if you hit a traffic cone.

Mini Game/Claw Game Press either the A button or the B button, when the claw comes above the stuffed animal. If the claw is stopped directly above the stuffed animal, you will get the stuffed animal. If the claw isn’t stopped directly above the stuffed animal or if the button isn’t pressed in a timely manner, it will be considered a fail.
Mini Game/Bowling Rapidly tap the A button for ten seconds.
The more you tap the more power the bowling throw will have.
If there isn’t enough power, it will be considered a fail.
Everyday Scene At certain times, you will be able to see scenes from “Tokyo Revengers”, or depending on what character you are taking care, you might be able to see their future. Within the three minutes these are shown, pressing the A, B, or C button will allow you to see their daily life. *If no button is pressed within the three minutes, the screen will return to normal.
Pouting
If a delinquent is attacking for too long or isn’t taken care of sufficiently, the character will pout. Press the A button to make them happy again. If the character pouts for too long, they will leave. (When the character is pouting, the only options available are clock controls and sound controls.)

Good Bye
If the character is left pouting for a long time or is put in the pouting state too many times, they will leave you.
After the character leaves, to start raising another character… Press the A button while pressing the C button. Takemichi Hanagaki will arrive again.

Depending on how you take care of 26-year-old Takemichi Hanagaki, you can be introduced to different members of the Tokyo Manji Gang or the Mizo Middle Five! Takemichi Hanagaki
