EFL300500 Twin Otter
Products:
E-flite Twin Otter 1.2m BNF Basic (EFL300500).
Issue:
Customers who purchased a BNF Basic version (EFL300500) may have received a
model with the Spektrum AR631 receiver installed incorrectly by 180 degrees.
What to Do: If the receiver is installed correctly, take no action. (see
Correct image, below).
If the receiver is installed incorrectly, remove and reinstall the Spektrum
AR631 receiver 180 degrees from the original orientation. (see Incorrect
image, below).
Corrective Action

Inspect the receiver installation.

If the receiver is installed correctly (see Correct image above), take no action.

If the receiver is installed incorrectly (see Incorrect image above), carefully remove the receiver from the tray.

Remove the servo tape and silicone.

Rotate the receiver 180 degrees (see Correct image, above).

Remount the correctly orientated receiver using double-sided cushioning tape with a small amount of silicone adhesive around the perimeter.
The Spektrum AR631 receiver must be secured properly. Failure to properly secure the receiver will lead to potentially erratic flight behavior. -
Perform an AS3X and/or SAFE Control Direction Test per the aircraft instruction manual.
Once you install the receiver correctly, the issue will resolve.
