Bally BOXY01 Sport Edge Sensor

Product Information

The Sports Edge Sensor is a portable device designed for sports activities. It complies with the FCC’s radiation exposure limits for an uncontrolled environment. The device must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. It is important to avoid direct contact with the antenna or keep contact to a minimum while using the equipment. The device must be professionally installed. The Sports Edge Sensor complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, which means it may not cause harmful interference and must accept any interference received. The device is supplied by Bally’s Corporation and is FCC-compliant with a Unique Identifier of BOXY01.

Firmware Update

To perform a firmware update, press the button on the sensor.

Sensor Identification

Each sensor has a unique 8-digit ID that can be read in threeways. Please refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on how to read the ID.

Product Usage Instructions

Switching OFF the sensor

  1. Push the button on the sensor until the two blue LEDs turn off.
  2. Hold the button for approximately 5 seconds.

Switching ON the sensor:

  1. Push the button on the sensor until the Activity LED starts blinking green.
  2. Hold the button for approximately 2 seconds.

Auto-shutdown:

The sensor will automatically switch off after 2 hours of no motion state and no gateway connectivity.

Hardware Reset:

To perform a hard reset, push and hold the button on the sensor for approximately 16 seconds.

Battery Charging:

To charge the sensor, place it on a Qi standard wireless charger. Ensure that the button and LEDs area is placed outside the charging circle. The POWER LED should start blinking green to indicate charging. The sensor is fully charged when the GREEN POWER LED remains fixed.

POWER LED Status:

  • LED OFF: Normal operation
  • BLINKING GREEN: Device is charging
  • FIXED GREEN: Charging completed
  • BLINKING YELLOW: Device is charging + Power Error
  • FIXED YELLOW: Charging completed + Power Error
  • BLINKING PINK: Power Error

ACTIVITY LED:

  • LED OFF: Device is shutdown
  • BOTH LEDs BLINKING BLUE: Button is being pressed
  • BOTH LEDs FIXED BLUE: Firmware Update

Battery Charging

Note : If the Green Power Led doesn’t start, slightly move the sensor on the charger pad to find the charger coupling location
The sensor is fully charged when the Green POWER Led is fixed

    SESSION STARTED state – Device is connected and sending motion data to the gateway

Sensor Identification

Each sensor has a Unique ID to be indentified by the Gateway This Unique ID is a 8-digits ID There are 3 ways to read the ID :
