  • This appliance is intended for household and similar uses, such as:
    – in kitchen areas reserved for staff in shops, offices and other working environments;
    – in small industries and farms houses;
    – use by clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments;

FIRST USE

After taking the milk frother out of the box and removing all packaging elements, make sure that all parts are in perfect condition. Use hot water and dishwasher liquid to clean components that can be washed: jug, cover lid with holder and whisk. Clean the motor body ONLY with a damp cloth to remove any residual dust. (fig. 2)

ATTENTION! THE WHISK HOLDER IS FITTED UNDER THE LID AND CANNOT BE REMOVED.

USE

  • Place the milk frother on a flat, firm and dry surface, well away from any flammable materials.

  • Unwind the power cable from its cord wrap to adjust the length needed to reach the power socket. (fig. 3) Attention: do not allow the cable to hang down from the work surface (fig. 4)

  • You can use the Plissé milk frother to prepare:
    – Hot milk
    – Hot milk with froth
    – Cold milk with froth
    – Hot chocolate For more information, see below “Usage table”.

  • To prepare dense and full-bodied froth, we recommend using cold whole milk. Take the milk from the refrigerator just before using it.

ATTENTION!

  • Always make sure that the cover lid is closed tightly to prevent milk from spilling.
  • Always take care to respect the minimum and maximum levels indicated inside the jug. If the maximum level is exceeded during the preparation stage, hot milk and froth could overflow from the jug with the risk of burns. If the minimum level is not respected, the jug could overheat and be damaged.
  • DO NOT use the milk frother without liquid in the jug.
  • If the jug is lifted from the heating base while it is ON, the milk frother interrupts the operating cycle. DO NOT place the jug on any sources of heat. ONLY use it with the heating base supplied.

USING THE MILK FROTHER

  • The steel jug has level indicators inside that help you in various kinds of use:
    – Max: maximum filling level for warming milk ONLY 350 ml
    – Max: maximum filling level for preparing frothy hot milk – 200 ml
    – Min: minimum filling level – 100 ml (fig. 5)

  • Place the jug on a stable surface and remove the cover lid.

  • Depending on the function to be set, pour the indicated amount of milk into the jug (see “Usage table “).

  • Make sure that the whisk is properly fitted into its holder.

  • Place the cover lid on the jug and press to ensure correct closure between lid and jug. The transparent cover lid allows you to watch the set cycle.

  • Place the jug on the heating base and fit the plug into the power socket. (fig. 6)

  • Press the START/STOP button or turn the program selector knob to switch ON the milk frother.

  • The START/STOP button and the function symbol on the program selector knob come ON. If the function is not set after 90 seconds, the milk frother switches OFF.

  • Set the desired function by turning the selector knob in both directions. Once the required function is chosen, press the START/STOP button again. (fig. 7)

  • The START/STOP button and the function symbol on the selector knob come ON and the milk frother begins the preparation procedure.

  • When the milk frother has finished the chosen cycle, it stops automatically. The START/STOP button flashes for 90 seconds and then switches OFF; the icon for the selected function also switches OFF after 90 seconds.

  • Hold the jug by the handle and lift it off the heating base. (fig. 8)

  • To pour the preparation, remove the cover lid complete with support and whisk (fig. 9) and use a spoon to arrange the froth and milk or chocolate in the cup. (fig. 10) After use, the jug is hot. Place it on heat-proof pad or similar to avoid damaging the surface.

  • If you wish to stop the milk frother before the end of the selected cycle, press the START/STOP button. The START/STOP button flashes for 90 seconds and then switches OFF; the icon for the selected function also switches OFF after 90 seconds. If during the operating cycle the jug is lifted off the base before the end of the selected cycle, the milk frother switches OFF. The START/STOP button and the icon of the selected function switch OFF. If the jug is replaced on the heating base, the milk frother must be reset. When the jug is empty and has cooled down, it can be washed.

ATTENTION!

  • Always allow the appliance to cool down before using it again.
  • Always unplug the power cable from the socket when the milk frother has completed the selected cycle.

USAGE TABLE

  • If you have chosen the milk heating and frothing function, the temperature at the end of preparation is about 60 °C. If you have set the hot chocolate function, the final temperature is about 75 °C.

CLEANING

ATTENTION!

  • After use and before carrying out any maintenance and cleaning operations, remove the power plug from the socket.
  • Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it.

Motor body

  • DO NOT immerse or rinse the motor body with the heating base, power cable or plug in water or other liquids.

  • These parts must ONLY be cleaned with a damp cloth and then immediately and carefully dried with a soft cloth (fig 2).

  • The motor body must NOT be washed in a dishwasher.
    Jug, cover lid with holder and whisk.

  • To prevent froth or chocolate residues from sticking to whisk and the holder, we recommend rinsing these parts under hot water as soon as they have been used.

  • These components can be hand washed with warm water and dishwasher detergent or washed in a dishwasher. We suggest placing the jug, cover lid with holder and whisk in the upper rack of the dishwasher to avoid contact with the heating elements. Any colour alterations on the external bottom of the jug are to be considered normal and do not compromise in any way the functionality of the milk frother.

  • Do not use abrasive sponges or substances to avoid damaging the surface finish.

  • After cleaning, manually rewind the cable on the cable wrap and store the milk frother in a dry place. (fig. 11)
