SYNQ SQT-210 Mount U-Bracket Instruction Manual
Thank you for buying this Syng® product. To take full advantage of all possibilities and for your own safety, please read these operating instructions very carefully before you start using this unit.
FEATURES
- This strong U-bracket for SQT-210 is specially designed for:
- Easy truss mounting with PAN/TILT capability (1 or 2 optional fast clamps needed)
- 35mm Pole or speaker stand mount with PAN/TILT possibility
- Easy quick-mount mechanism, like omega brackets on lighting equipment.
BEFORE USE
- Before you start using this unit, please check if there’s no transportation damage. Should there be any, do not use the device and consult your dealer first.
- Important: This device left our factory in perfect condition and well packaged. It is absolutely necessary for the user to strictly follow the safety instructions and warnings in this user manual. Any damage caused by mishandling is not subject to warranty. The dealer will not accept responsibility for any resulting defects or problems caused by disregarding this user manual.
- Keep this booklet in a safe place for future consultation. If you sell the fixture, be sure to add this user manual.
Check the contents:
Check that the carton contains the following items:
- 1x SQT-210 BRACKET (assembled)
- 2x female knob + threaded rod/square nut combination (installed or separate)
- Installation instructions
DESCRIPTION:
- Quarter-turn locks, 2 on each side ‘_6
- Tilt-knob to secure the tilt position of the speaker
- Separate T-base with 35mm adapter and mounting knobs, used while the speaker is installed on a speaker pole or speaker stand.
- Butterfly nut for extra strength while the T-base is used.
- Knob to fix the bracket on the speaker pole.
Remark: Normally the tilt-knob is already installed on the bracket. If
not: please install it on both sides, as shown on the picture below.
INSTALLATION ON A SPEAKER

Put the bracket over the speaker with the quarter-turn locks facing to the front.

Turn the 4 quarter-turn locks 45° clockwise until they are firmly fixed.
USED ON SPEAKER STAND -
Make sure to fix the T-base (3) firmly on the bracket using the 2 knobs and the butterfly nut (4)

Fix the bracket on the speaker stand and tighten the bracket with the 35mm adapter knob (5)

Install the speaker on the bracket: see above.

Tilt the speaker in the desired position and secure with the tilt knob (2).
SUSPENDED ON A TUBE OR TRUSS

Remove the T-base (3) from the bracket by removing the 2 knobs and the butterfly nut (4)

Fix the clamp(s) on the bracket:

clamp in the middle hole if you want to pan the speaker horizontally.

clamps (1 on both sides ) if you don, t want the speaker to pan horizontally.

In both cases a safety cable should be wrapped around the speaker handle, speaker bracket and truss.

Install the speaker on the bracket: see above.

Tilt the speaker in the desired position and secure with the tilt knob (2).
OVERHEAD RIGGING

Important: The installation must be carried out by qualified service personal only. Improper installation can result in serious injuries and/or damage to property. Overhead rigging requires extensive experience! Working load limits should be respected, certified installation materials should be used, the installed device should be inspected regularly for safety.

Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during rigging, de-rigging and servicing. The speaker should be installed out of reach of people and outside areas where persons may walk by or be seated.

Before rigging make sure that the installation area can hold a minimum point load of 10times the speaker’s weight.

Always use a certified safety cable that can hold 12 times the weight of the speaker when installing it. This secondary safety attachment should be installed in a way that no part of the installation can drop more than 20cm if the main attachment fails.

The speaker should be well fixed; a free-swinging mounting is dangerous and may not be considered!

The operator has to make sure that the safety-relating and machine-technical installations are approved by an expert before using them for the first time. The installations should be inspected every year by a skilled person to be sure that safety is still optimal.
