Security

Button function description

On/Off button

  • Enable/Disable the camera. Press the key for 2-3s.

  • Turn off the screen. A short press turns off the screen.

Menu

  • To enter the device Menu, short press the key when the camera is not recording.

0K

  • Short press to stop/start recording.
  • Short press to play/pause current video in playback mode.
  • Short press once to enter/save setting in menu settings.

Up

  • Short press once to scroll up in menu settings.
  • Short press once to rewind to previous video files in playback mode
  • Press and hold once to go to the video file in playback mode.

Down

  • Short press once to scroll down in menu settings.
  • Short press to scroll to next video files in playback mode
  • Short press to mute audio recording in video mode.

Mode button
When the device is not recording, you can switch camera modes. Short press the mode button to switch to any of the list. Recording/Shooting Mode/Playback Mode.

Lock recordings

  • A short press will protecUunprotect the recorded video.

Camera installation

  • Step 1. Turn off the car engine. Then insert the memory card into the appropriate slot on the camera. Use ,,fast” memory cards (Class 10 or higher) with a capacity of 8-32GB.
  • Step 2. Attach the bracket to the corresponding slot on the camera. Place the holder in the desired location on the windshield.
  • Step 3. Connect the power cable to the camera’s power socket. Then insert the car adapter into the ,,cigarette lighter” socket. To hide the cable, you can run it along the edges of the front of the car. See the graphic below.tracer-3.0S-FHD-Capri-Car-Recorder-fig-9
  • Step 4. Start the engine. Check if the camera turned on automatically. If the camera is installed correctly, it will start automatically after power on and start saving recordings.

Description of camera modes

  1. Recording mode
    While recording, a movie” icon will appear in the upper left corner.

  2. Photo mode
    In photo mode it is possible to take pictures by the camera.
    A camera icon will appear in the upper left corner.

  3. Play mode
    In playback mode, you can watch recorded videos. A photo icon will appear in the upper left corner.

Attention. The dash cam will turn off and start recording auto­matically when the camera is turned on. Short press the [OK] button to stop recording. Short press [M] button to switch video/photo/playback mode.

Description of camera settings

  1. Selecting the resolution of the recorded video
    You have three options to choose from: 1080P, 720P, VGA.

  2. Loop video recording
    Movies can be recorded in one of three lengths: 3min/2min/1 min. Thanks to this function, you have an uninterrupted record of traffic events. When the memory card is full, old files are overwritten by new recordings.

  3. HDR On/Off
    HDR improves exposure by taking combinations of overexposed and underex­posed photos into one solid wide range of lighting with an image with more depth.

  4. Exposure
    Exposure settings allow you to adjust image quality by passing a certain amount of light through the objective lens. We have the following values to choose from: +2.0, +5/3, +4/3, +1.0, +2/3, +1/3, +0.0, -1/3, -2/3, -1.0, -4 /3,-5/3,-2.0, which can be controlled depending on the lighting.

  5. Audio recording On/Off
    After enabling the function, the video will be recorded without sound.

  6. Motion detection On/Off
    When motion detection is enabled, the camera will turn on and start recording automatically when something/someone moves in front of the camera.

  7. Date/Time Stamp
    The dale may or may not be displayed on the recorded video.

  8. G-sensor On/Off
    The overload sensor allows you to detect impacts, overloads while driving. If it is enabled, it will automatically save and lock the video before deleting it when an impact is detected. If it is turned off, the recording will also be saved, but not protected against overwriting.

  9. Parking Mode On/Off
    If the car is turned off and parked, after detecting a shock or impact, the camera starts recording a 35s video, and then turns off automatically. The recorded video is locked from deletion.

  10. No. On/Off
    If you want the registration number to be placed on the recorded video, activate the function and enter the vehicle number.

  11. Screen timeout Off/10s/30s/1min
    The screen will turn off automatically if there is no activity on it. For example, if you set the timer to 1 Os, the screen backlight will turn off after 1 Os of inactivity. If the function is disabled, the screen backlight will always be on.

  13. Languages
    Set any support language from the list.

  14. Date/Clock
    You can set the dale and time using the up/down and OK keys.

  15. Formatting the memory card
    You can format a memory card that is already saved. Select the appropriate func­tion and accept.

  16. Factory settings
    At any time, you can restore the device to factory settings by inserting a thin object into the RESET socket on the camera.

  17. Version
    When you need after-sales service, press OK to check the software version and provide it with the service request.

Troubleshooting

If problems arise under normal conditions of use, please read the following pos­sible solutions:

The camera does not record or take photos:
Make sure there is enough storage space and check whether the card is locked. We recommend the use of at least class 6 microSD cards.

During video playback, ,,file error” message appears:
Incomplete file due to card storage error. Format your microSD card using the ,,Format” function.

Poor quality, blurry image:
Check if the lens is dirty. Use a soft cloth to clean the lens before using the camcorder.

Black image when recording sky or water:
Scenes with high contrast can influence automatic exposure function. You can adjust the exposure in the MENU mode.

Colours are dim on cloudy days or in natural lighting:
Set the white balance function to automatic.

No image from the rear camera:
Make sure the camcorder is powered from the original power supply included in the set. Powering the camcorder with another power supply, a standard 5V charger or a USB cable from the computer socket can cause the image from the rear camera to not be visible.

The camcorder is frozen or unresponsive:
Briefly press the Reset button with a pin to reset the settings.
