INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION

ATTENTION! Mounting must be performed by a qualified electrician only, with the electricity turned off to avoid electric shock. Installation of the Mini Relay in a metal housing can impair communication with the device. The bypass is designed to be used with the Mini Relay only

  1. Check that the Perenio® Control Gateway / IoT Router is installed, connected to the Internet and activated in the Perenio: Smart Home and Office app.
  2. Unpack the Mini Relay. Deenergise the area of installation. Perform electrical connections as shown in Figure B (See the Installation and Operation Manual for wiring diagram options). Fasten wires to connectors   using a 3 mm flat screwdriver (not included in the delivery package).
  3. Energize the area of installation – the LED indicator  will start blinking blue.
  4. In the Perenio: Smart Home and Office app, click on the “+” icon in the “Devices” tab, select the Mini Relay from the list and follow connection tips specified on the screen. The connection process shall be performed by pressing the button    on the device or by disconnecting the power network with a mechanical switch.
  5. To manage the device, click on its image in the “Devices” tab

SAFETY OPERATION RULES2

Installation must only be performed on a de-energized area of the power network by a qualified electrician. Please observe the operating and storage conditions, power network parameters (Voltage, load power), and the wiring diagram. Please avoid short-circuit as it could damage the device. It is not allowed to drop, throw or disassemble the device, to attempt to repair it on one’s own, to expose it to liquids. The device may be used for its intended purpose only. Do not disconnect the mains voltage for at least 5 minutes after the reset, as well as for at least 10 minutes after the firmware update process is started.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • The Mini Relay is suddenly offline: The device is out of range of the Zigbee signal. Make sure that the distance to the Control Gateway / IoT Router is within the coverage area of the relay antenna (up to 30 m in enclosed spaces, up to 100 m in free space).
  • Mini Relay is offline: Supply network failure. Check the power supply and contact the local power supply company.
