Product Usage Instructions
To configure the Multi technology RFID Keypad:
- OSDP Configuration: Connect the RS-485 A (+) and RS-485 B (-) terminals. Input 1 is a dry contact to GND only. The tamper state is reported by RS-485. Use multiconductor cable with 2 twisted pair with shielding and a maximum length of 1200m.
- WS4 Configuration: Connect the RS-485 B (+) and RS-485 B (-) terminals. The readers for Doors 1.0 and 2.0 must be at address 0 and those for Doors 1.1 and 2.1 at address 1. For doors equipped with 2 readers, one must be at address 0 and the other at address 1. Use a multiconductor cable with 2 twisted pair with shielding and a maximum length of 80m.
- Wiegand Configuration: Connect the D0 and D1 terminals. Use untwisted, shielded, 0.22 mm2 min cable type, and for longer distance above 20m use a larger diameter.
- Custom RS-485 Configuration: Connect the RS-485 A (+) and RS-485 B (-) terminals. Use a multiconductor cable with 2 twisted pair with shielding and a maximum length of 1200m.
To set up OSDP configuration, reset SCBK by powering the reader and setting DIP switch 1 to ON, then setting it back to OFF position in less than 5 seconds. To set up WS4 configuration, ensure readers are set to the correct address (0 or 1) based on door location. The tamper state is reported by RS-485. DIP switch 2 sets RS-485 bus termination to either 120 ohm OFF or 120 ohm ON.
