Product Information
The 74IN LED Skeleton Horse is a decorative item and not a toy. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use but is not intended for children under 14 years of age. The product comes with various parts including legs, body, hip, neck, head, tail, stand support rods, base assembly, stand support feet, skeleton mounting base, ground stakes, and a takedown tool for disassembly. The product also comes with a caution and safety instructions manual that should be followed carefully.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting the assembly of the Skeleton Horse, make sure that all the parts listed in the Parts Section of the instruction manual are present. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the Skeleton Horse. Contact customer service for replacement parts.
- Follow the instructions in the manual to assemble the Skeleton Horse using the various parts provided.
- Adult supervision is recommended when changing batteries.Ensure to remove exhausted batteries from the product and dispose of them with care. Do not mix old and new batteries or mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Alkaline batteries are suggested for longer life.
- The product should not be placed near an open fire or heat source such as a radiator, stove, etc.
- Do not use the product near water such as bathtub, laundry tub, kitchen sink, wet basement or swimming pool, etc.
- The display should be serviced by a qualified service person only. Do not attempt to service this unit beyond what is described in the operating instructions.
- Take extra care when displaying any figure that may contain small parts around small children.
- The use of this decoration should always be supervised by an adult.
- Remove batteries when not in use. If the product is to be left unused for a long period of time, remove the batteries.

BATTERY USAGE
ADULT SUPERVISION IS RECOMMENDED WHEN CHANGING BATTERIES.
- Do not mix old and new batteries.

PREPARATION :
Before beginning the assembly of the Skeleton Horse, make sure that all the
parts listed in the Parts Section are present. If any part is missing or
damaged, do not attempt to assemble the Skeleton Horse. Contact customer
service for replacement parts.
SKELETON HORSE ASSEMBLY
Carefully remove contents from the box.
NOTE : Each of the sections of the Skeleton Horse are joined together
with a “locking pin” as shown in Figure-1. When disassembling the Skeleton
Horse, use the (J) Takedown Tool For Disassembly to depress each of the
locking pins. The location for each of the locking pins can be identified by
the letter “T” located next to each of the access holes on the Skeleton
Horse.

Step 1: Attach the (A) Right Front Leg and (B) Left Front Leg to the (E) Horse’s Body.

Step 2: Attach the (C) Right Back Leg and (D) Left Back Leg to the (F) Horse’s Hip.

Step 3: Once the Front Legs and Back Legs have been attached and secured, attached the (F) Horse’s Hip to the (E) Horse’s Body.

Step 4: Attach the (I) Horse’s Tail to the (F) Horse’s Hip
-
Step 5: Attach the (G) Horse’s Neck to the (E) Horse’s Body.

Step 6: Attach the (H) Horse’s Head to the (G) Horse’s Neck.
SUPPORT STAND ASSEMBLY: -
Step 7: The Skeleton Horse Support Stand consists of the following parts: (K) Upper Stand Support Rod; (L) Lower Stand Support Rod; (M) Stand Support Base Assembly; (N) Stand Support Feet; (P) Ground Stakes. The Support Stand is assembled by inserting each of the 4 (N) Stand Support Feet into the (M) Stand Support Base Assembly, as shown in Figure-3. Once the Base is assembled, the (K) Upper Stand Support Rod can be attached to the (L) Lower Stand Support Rod by depressing the “locking pins” and locking them into place, as shown in Figure-2, and then insert the lower portion of the (L) Lower Stand Support Rod into the (M) Stand Support Base Assembly.

Step 8: Once the Support Stand is fully assembled, insert the upper portion of the (K) Upper Stand Support Rod into the connection slot located under the spine of the (E) Horse’s Body, as shown in Figure-4. Your Skeleton Horse and Support Stand are now fully assembled. When the Skeleton Horse is fully assembled it can be lifted into place and secured to the ground by using the 4 (P) Ground Stakes included. The Ground Stakes should be hammered into the ground in order to give the assembled Skeleton Horse adequate support
BATTERY REPLACEMENT & ITEM FUNCTION: Requires 3 “AA” batteries (included).

Remove the battery compartment cover, which is located inside and on the roof of the mouth. Using a small screwdriver, remove the safety screw and then remove the battery compartment cover, as shown in Figure-5.

Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.

Insert 3 new “AA” batteries with correct polarity and return the battery compartment cover and safety screw.

The ON/OFF switch is located next to the battery compartment. Slide the switch to the “ON” position for sound sensor activated LED lights and sounds. Slide the switch to the “OFF” position to activate the TRY-ME feature. Press the TRY-ME button for a short LED lights and sounds demonstration.
NOTE : Detach the TRY-ME wire from the battery box if you do not wish to use the TRY-ME feature. -
Replace batteries if the lights dim or the sound becomes distorted or faint.
The 5-Foot Pose-N-Stay Skeleton (SKU Number 1001 246 494) is not included with
purchase. The Pose-and-Stay Skeleton can be purchased “in store” or ordered
from The Home Depot Web Site at WWW.HOMEDEPOT.COM

**MOUNTING ASSEMBLY
**
Remove the (O) Skeleton Mounting Base from the box. Please note that there are “two” parts that make up the Skeleton Mounting Base. By “squeezing” the “lower” portion of the Mounting Base,it will separate into an “upper” part and a “lower” part, which can now be attached to the spine of the Skeleton Horse. First, place and hold the “lower” section of the Skeleton Mounting Base to the bottom of the horses spine on the (E) Horse’s Body, as shown in Figure-7. Holding the “lower” part in place, attach the “upper” part to the “lower” part, as shown in Figure-6, making sure that they “click” and “lock” into place. Once the Skeleton Mounting Base is secure and in place, the 5FT Pose- NStay Skeleton, which is not included with your purchase, can be placed on the back of the horse by attaching the skeletons “hip section” into the top of the Skeleton Mounting Base, as shown in Figure-8.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem | Solution |

The Horse does not work
| 1. Check if the positive and negative terminals of the battery are
installed correctly.
2. Check whether the battery is drained. Replace the new batteries and try
again.
The Sound Sensor does not work
| 1. Check to see that the ON/OFF switch is located in the “ON” position.
2. Check to see if the triggered sound source is too far from the horse,
please keep the distance between the sound source and the horse at 39.5 in
(100cm).
3. Check to see if the sound source is too low, the triggered sound needs to
be higher than 90 decibels to activate the sensor.
