WARNING – To reduce the risk of injury, user must read instruction
manual!
General safety rules
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and / or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded)
power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
Work area safety
- Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmos-pheres, such as in the presence of flammable liq-uids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while oper-ating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
- Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Un-modified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
- Do not expose power tools to rain or wet condi-tions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of elec-tric shock.
- If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock. NOTE! The term “residual current device (RCD)” may be replaced by the term “ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)” or “earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB)”.
- Warning! Never touch the exposed metal sur-faces on gearbox, shield, and so on because touch-ing metal surfaces will be interfered with the elec-tromagnetic wave, thus causing potential injury or accidents.
Personal safety
- Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
- Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your fin-ger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
- Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left at-tached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
- Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and bal-ance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or Jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
- If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
- Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
- Warning! Power tools can produces an elec-tromagnetic field during operation. This field may under some circumstances interfere with active or passive medical implants. To reduce the risk of se-rious or fatal injury, we recommend persons with medical implants to consult their physician and the medical implant manufacturer before operating this power tool.
Power tool use and care
- The persons with lowered psychophysical or men-tal aptitudes as well as children can not operate the power tool, if they are not supervised or instructed about use of the power tool by a person responsible for their safety.
- Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
- Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be con-trolled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired
- Disconnect the plug from the power source and/ or the battery pack from the power tool before mak-ing any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
- Store idle power tools out of the reach of chil-dren and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
- Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s op-eration. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
- Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazard-ous situation.
- Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
- Note that when you operate a power tool, please hold the auxiliary handle correctly, which is helpful when controlling the power tool. Therefore, proper holding can reduce the risk of accidents or injuries.
Service
-
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified re-pair person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained. -
Follow instruction for lubricating and changing accessories.
Special safety warnings
- Before work, inspection shall be carried out to see whether the milling cutter is installed; you should firmly hold the machine during work. Milling cutter with appropriate dimension shall be used. Anytime when the milling cutter is used or changed, it must be ensured that switch on the ma-chine is on off position. In order to avoid personal injury done to you and your bystanders, the power lines must be pulled out of the socket when the milling cutter is assembled or changed.
- When the machine is used, you will work in dusty environment; therefore, you should wear mask and goggles. If you have long hair, you shall wear hair care cap. You shall not wear loose clothes during work.

Safety guidelines during power tool op-eration
Before commencing operation
- During machining, do not place the workpiece on a sturdy surface (concrete, steel, stone, etc.) – when the router bit passes through the workpiece, you can damage the router bit and lose control over the power tool.
- Use the router bits whose allowable rotary speed does not exceed the rotary speed of the power tool spindle. Observe manufacturer’s recommendations for router bits use. Do not use router bits that do not conform to the specifications included in the user’s manual.
- Use only sharp nondefective router bits. Bended, blunt or cracked router bits must be replaced.
- The router bit shank diameter must match precisely with the internal diameter of the power tool collet.
- Never use the router bit if its cutting unit diameter exceeds the diameter of the hole in the base plate.
- Remove all nails or any other metal objects from blanks before cutting.
- When making cuts in walls or partitions, it is neces-sary to find the location of hidden wiring, water-pipes and gas pipes. Severe injuries may occur as a result of damaging electric wiring or household utility lines.
During operation
- When turning the power on and during operation, hold the power tool with both hands by both handles and keep a steady position, which will allow you to keep control over the power tool.
- Keep your hands at a safe distance from the rotat-ing router bit. Remember that when machining a work-piece, the router bit end occasionally protrudes beyond the lower part of the workpiece and is not protected -touching it may cause severe injuries. Never touch the rotating router bit with your hands.
- Never start the machining until the router bit reaches its full speed.
- Advance the router bit to the workpiece only with the power tool turned on, otherwise the router bit may be pinched in a workpiece, or a recoil and loss of control over the power tool can occur.
- When processing small blanks, use clamping devic-es. if the blanks are too small to be fixed properly – do not process them.
- Never remove sawdust while the power tool motor is running.
- Do not work materials containing asbestos. Asbes-tos is considered carcinogenic.
- Avoid stopping an electric tool motor when loaded.
- Avoid overheating your power tool, when using it for a long time.
- Never operate the power tool over your head level.
After finishing operation
- The power tool may be removed from the workplace only after it is turned off and the router bit stops com-pletely.
- Decelerating the router bit rotation by inertia using the spindle keylock is strictly forbidden- this will put the power tool out of operation and void your right to the warranty service.
- During operation the router bit runs very hot – do not touch it until it cools down.
- Cleaning of the workplace after work should be per-formed by persons equipped with the aforesaid per-sonal protection means.
Warning: the chemical substances con-tained in dust generated in sanding, cutting, sawing, grinding, drilling and other construction industry activities may result in cancer, congenital deficiency or be harmful to the fertility. The ion of some chemical sub-stances shall be:
- Before any repair and replacement work to the ma-chine, the power plug must be pulled out firstly.
- The transparent two silicon oxide and other ma-sonry products in the wall bricks and cement; the chromium arsenic (CCA) in wood with chemical treat-ment. The harm degree of these substances shall depend on the frequent degree of you carrying out these works. If you want to reduce the contact with these chemical substances, please work in the place with ventilation and you shall use the appliances with safety certificates (such as the dust mask designed with tiny dust filter).
Notice the power voltage: in power connection, you must confirm that if the power voltage is the same to the voltage marked in the tool’s data plate. If the power voltage is higher than the appropriate voltage, the acci-dents will be resulted to the operators, and at the same time, the tool will be destroyed. Therefore, if the power voltage has not been confirmed, then you shall never plug in arbitrarily. On the contrary, when the power voltage is lower than the required voltage, the motor will be damaged.

Dust suction during the power tool operation
Dust collection decreases dust concentration in the air and prevents build up
of dust at the work station.
While operating the power tool, always use a vacuum cleaner suitable for
collecting process generated dust.
A special adapter is used to join the vacuum cleaner to adaptor 22.
Design features of the power tool
Speed selector thumbwheel
Using speed selector thumbwheel 13, you may select the required spindle speed
(also during operation).
The required speed is dependent on the material and can be determined with
practical trials.
When operating your power tool at a low speed for a long time, it has to be
cooled down for 3 minutes. To do it, set a maximum speed and leave your power
tool to run idle.
Soft start
[CT11002, CT11001]
Soft start (starting current limitation system) allows for the soft start of
the power tool – the router bit spins up gradually without jerks and recoils,
and when the power tool is turned on, this does not impose an abrupt load on
the power network.
Rotation speed stabilization system
The stabilization system maintains the preset RPM both at an idle speed and
under load. This allows for the smooth advance of the power tool during
operation.
Recommendations on the power tool operation
Setting milling depth (see fig. 12-16)
The adjustment of the milling depth may only be carried out when the power
tool is switched off.
[CT11012]
-
Install the power tool on the even horizontal surface.
-
Turn stepped stop 20 so that its lowest step is under depth gauge 14 (see fig. 12.1).
-
Release clamping screw 17 (see fig. 12.2).
-
Move lever 8 up (see fig. 12.3) – this will allow the power tool body to move.
-
Lower the power tool body so that the router bit end touches the workpiece surface, and move lever 8down to fix the position of the power tool body (see fig. 12.4).
-
Move depth gauge 14 so that its end touches the surface of stepped stop 20 (see fig. 13.1). Thus, you have fixed the “zero position”.
-
In order to set the milling depth, move depth gauge 14 up with reference to indicator 15 readings on scale 34, after which tighten locking screw 17 to fix Therese milling depth (see fig. 13.2). Now when depth gauge 14 end touches the lowest step of steepest 20, the preset milling depth will be reached (see fig. 13.3). When necessary, you can reach the desired milling depth at several passes. For this purpose, rotate stepped stop 20 so that depth gauge 14 end rests alternately upon higher steps of stepped stop 20.
-
After the works are finished, move lever 8 up and smoothly raise the power tool body to the uppermost position, while holding the power tool with both handles 3.
[CT11002, CT11001] -
Install the power tool on the even horizontal surface
-
Turn stepped stop 20 so that its lowest step is under depth gauge 14 (see fig. 14.1).
-
Release clamping screw 17 (see fig. 14.2).
-
Move lever 8 down and hold it in this position (see fig. 14.3) – this will allow the power tool body to move.
-
Lower the power tool body so that the router bit end touches the workpiece surface, and release lever 8 (lever 8 automatically returns to its original position) to fix the position of the power tool body (see fig. 15.1).
-
Move depth gauge 14 (rotate the flywheel 16 for this purpose) so that adjusting screw 19 touches the surface of the stepped stop 20 lower step. If necessary, release locknut 18 and untwist adjusting screw 19 (so that its end touches stepped stop 20), and then tighten locknut 18 (see fig. 15.2 and 15.4). Thus, you have fixed the “zero position”.
-
Move indicator 15 to the “0” mark of depth gauge 14 scale (see fig. 15.3).
-
In order to set the milling depth, move depth gauge 14 up with reference to the scale marking, after which tighten locking screw 17 to fix the preset milling depth (see fig. 16.1-16.3). Now when adjusting screw end 19 touches the lowest step of stepped stop 20, the preset milling depth will be reached (see fig. 16.4). When necessary, you can reach the desired milling depth at several passes. Rotate stepped stop 20 for this purpose so that adjusting screw 19 end rests alternately upon the higher steps of stepped stop 20.
-
A more accurate adjustment of the milling depth can be made using controller 7.
-
After the works are finished, move lever 8 down, hold it in this position, and smoothly raise the power tool body to the uppermost position, while holding the power tool with both handles 3. Release lever 8.
Milling direction (see fig. 17)
** Milling should always be performed against the router bit rotation
direction (see fig. 17). Otha-arise, the power tool will be subject to jerks,
which may result in the loss of control over it.
General operational recommendations (see fig. 18-19)**
- Mark out and fix the machinable workpiece.
- Set the desired milling depth as described above.
- Turn on the power tool.
- CT11012 – move lever 8 as shown in figure 18 (this will allow the power tool body to move). Lower the power tool body slowly and smoothly until the preset milling depth is reached. Fix the body in this position by moving lever 8 as shown in figure 18.
- CT11002, CT11001 – move lever 8 down and hold it in this position as shown in figure 19 (this will allow the power tool body to move). Lower the power tool body slowly and smoothly until the preset milling depth is reached. Release lever 8 to fix the body in this position as shown in figure 19.
- Perform the milling operation with a uniform advance, observing the recommendations concerning the milling direction. Hold the power tool with both hands by both handles 3. Do not apply extra effort – performing the operation will take some time. Extra effort will not expedite the working process, but will overload the power tool.
- After the milling process is finished, raise the power tool body to the uppermost position as described above.
- Turn the power tool off.
Parallel milling
Using the auxiliary guide (see fig. 20)
You can fix a wood board on the workpiece with the clamping device and use it
as an auxiliary guide. Perform the milling operation by moving the power tool
along this guide and pressing the even side surface of base plate 4 to the
side surface of the wood board (see fig. 20).
Using the parallel guide (see fig. 21)
Parallel guide 26 enables milling along the straight line side surface of the
workpiece.
- Install and adjust parallel guide 26 as described above.
- Perform the milling operation by pressing parallel guide 26 to the side surface of the workpiece (see fig. 21).
Copy milling (see fig. 22) Guide bushing 24 enables template milling (including curved template).
- Install guide bushing 24 as described above.
- Perform the milling operation by pressing guide bushing 24 to the side surface of the template (see fig. 22).
Note: the template thickness must not be less than 8 mm. Additionally,
when making a template, please note that the router bit follows the template
contour with a certain offset (distance “b” in figure 22).
Power tool maintenance / preventive measures
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it must be disconnected
from the mains.
Cleaning the dust extraction groove (see fig. 23-24)
- Unscrew screws 32 and remove cover 33 as shown in figures 23-24.
- Clean the groove with a soft brush.
- Install cover 33 and screw in screws 32.
