Product Information
The Flexvent is a floating that removes free air bubbles that collect at the highest point where it is fitted. It is used for air removal from heating and chilled systems with additives of glycol (max. 50%). The product comes equipped with an expanding ring in the cap, which shuts off the air vent when it becomes wet. It is not suitable for closed drinking water systems and steam systems.
Installation
During installation, ensure that the product is tightened hand-tight in a clockwise direction to guarantee leak-free operation. Safety precautions should be taken during installation.
Use
Regularly inspect the valve to ensure it is functioning correctly. Water treatment products may be used, provided that the relevant manufacturer guarantees that it is suitable for all materials used. Carry out maintenance only when the system is cold. Do not remove the cap during operation. Avoid dirt from entering the Flexvent air vent, direct contact with chlorine products (250 ppm), and water hammer in the system.
Product Usage Instructions
- During installation, tighten the Flexvent hand-tight in a clockwise direction to ensure leak-free operation.
- Regularly inspect the valve to ensure it is functioning correctly.

General
A Flexvent (A) floatvent removes free air bubbles that collect at the highest point, where the floatvent is fitted.
Application
- The Flexvent is suitable for venting of air from heating and chilled systems with additives of glycol (max. 50%).
- The Flexvent is also available with a Flamco air intake preventer to prevent air from being sucked into the Flexvent during draining.
- Not suitable for closed drinking water systems and steam systems
Safety
- Install the Flexvent in a frost-free location and in a well-accessible place for maintenance.
- Do not insulate the Flexvent.
- Do not place the Flexvent above water-sensitive objects
Installation
Safety requirements during installation

Min./max. system pressure:
0.2 bar / 10 bar. (3 PSIG / 145 PSIG) P operating max: 6,0 bar (90 PSIG) -
System temperature:
Min./Max. continuous/peak: -10 °C / +90 °C / +120 °C (14 °F / 94 °F / 245 °F)
Must be fitted by a competent engineer. Building regulations and local bylaws must be obeyed. Flush all debris from the system before the installation of the Flexvent.
- Install the Flexvent vertical on the highest point of the system (C).
- Use sealant material (D) on the Flexvent (A) or if available on the valve (B).
Use
- Turn the red cap (E) counterclockwise to the rapid filling.
- After filling, turn the cap (E) hand-tight a to the right to ensure leak-free operation
Maintenance and service
Regularly inspect the valve. The Flexvent is equipped with expanding rings in the cap, which will shut off the air vent when they become wet. Water treatment products may be used, provided that the relevant manufacturer guarantees that it is suitable for all materials used
Attention!
- Carry out maintenance only when the system is cold. Do not remove the cap during operation.
- Avoid dirt out of the installation entering the Flexvent air vent, direct contact with chlorine products (≥ 250 ppm), and water hammer in the system.
Dismantling
- Release the pressure in the piping (only for types without shut-off valve).
- Remove the Flexvent from the valve (F), or remove the Flexvent from the system (G).
Environment
Comply with local legislation when disposing of the Flexvent.
