Installation instructions
Refrigerator water filter
A replacement for the following water filters:
Liebherr® filters
7440000, 7440002, 7731240-00, 744000200
Filter life: 6 months or 500 gallons,whichever comes first will vary
based on water condition.
Installation instructions:
1. Twist the old filter 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Pull out the old filter.
2. Remove the protective cap from the new filter.
3. Push the new filter into the fridge until it stops. Twist the new filter
1/4 turn clockwise.
4. Flush filter for 5 minutes to remove any trapped air.
5. Reset your change filter” light (if your fridge has one).
Caution:
This filter should not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe or
of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

Storage and maintenance:
– Replace your filter every 6 months or 500 gallons to achieve optimal
performance and prevent bacteria and fungus growth in your filter and supply
lines.
– Keep your unused filters in a cool, dark, and dry place until you need them.
Frequently asked questions:
Q: Why is it difficult to twist the new filter into the filter housing?
A: Pressure inside may cause the expansion of connector, increasing the installation difficulty. Therefore, it is recommended you push the new filter in with a little bit of force, but not too hard.Then turn it clockwise.
Q: If I do not change my filter every 6 months, can this damage the system?
A: Yes. You must replace the filter every 6 months or sooner if water flow is reduced or if there is heavy sediment. Filters left in longer will fatigue, degrading the filter performance.
Q: Do I need to flush the filter before using?
A: Yes. It is highly recommended you flush the filter before using. Water filters are made from advanced coconut carbon block, so there are some carbon fines in the filter. You need to flush firstly to remove those carbon fines to get clean water.
Warning: To reduce the risk of property damage due to water leakage, this
filter MUST be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications
and instructions. This filter unit must be replaced every 500 gallons or 6
months. Failure to follow instructions and operating specifica-tions will void
your warranty. Further, manufacturer assumes no responsibility or liability
for damages arising out of misuse of the product.
