TOOLS NEEDED
– drill
– 1″ hole saw
STEP 1: WIRE THE SIDEWALL PORT
- Ensure solar panels are not connected at this time.
- Identify a location for sidewall port installation.
- Drill hole using the 1″ hole saw.
*Zamp solar recommends using a 1″ grommet to protect the wiring from abrasion. - Run wires through the drilled hole.
- Connect the fused positive (red), sidewall port wire to the positive battery terminal.
- Connect the negative (black), sidewall port wire to the negative battery terminal.
STEP 1: WIRE THE SIDEWALL PORT
- Peel the white protective layer off of both sides of the included gasket and stick one side onto the bottom of the wall port.
- Mount the sidewall port in place using proper fasteners.
*For increased longevity, apply sealant around the perimeter of the sidewall port that is in contact with the vehicle.
