Product Information
The product requires essential tools for proper installation. A waterproofing membrane is necessary for shower stalls, and polymer-modified glass tile mortar is highly recommended to hold the membrane in place. Expansion joints are important for showers with glass tile, and there must be a clean, straight, open joint at all changes in the plane, including inside corners, floor-to-wall, wall-to-ceiling, and columns. A 100% silicone sealant rated for adherence to glass tile is recommended to fill expansion joints or changes in the surface plane. Sealing the non-sanded tile grout helps repel moisture and dirt for easier cleaning and maintenance.
The product requires a wet tile saw for installation, and a diamond tip wet tile saw blade designed for glass tile is preferred. The DeWalt XP4 is the preferred wet tile saw blade for this product. For shower installation, use backsplash installation with round and Schluter trim of the same thickness.
Product Usage Instructions
- Begin by ensuring that the surface where the product will be installed is clean and free of debris.
- Apply the waterproofing membrane to the shower stall using polymer-modified glass tile mortar to hold it in place. Ensure that the membrane is properly secured and sealed.
- Install the glass tiles, ensuring there is a clean, straight, open joint at all changes in the plane using a 100% silicone sealant rated for adherence to glass tile.
- Seal the non-sanded tile grout to repel moisture and dirt for easier cleaning and maintenance.
- For installation, use a wet tile saw with a diamond tip wet tile saw blade designed for glass tile. The DeWalt XP4 is the preferred wet tile saw blade for this product.
- For shower installation, use a backsplash installation with round and Schluter trim of the same thickness.

Shower Installation
- Waterproofing Membrane is Required for Shower Stalls
- Polymer Modified Glass Tile Mortar is Highly Recommended for Shower Installations – Ensure Glass Tile Mortar is Compatible with Waterproofing Membrane.
- Uncoupling waterproof membranes require a specific mortar to set the membrane in place.

Backsplash Installation
- Backsplashes generally have fewer requirements for a successful installation, compared to shower installations.
- Plan your tile layout and consider the cuts required to negotiate outlets and other fixtures.
- Tiles can be installed onto painted drywall; the glass tile mortar can penetrate the paint.
- Tiles can be installed onto unpainted drywall; it is recommended to use a drywall primer and allow 48 hours of cure time.
- Ensure the backsplash surface is uniform and free of dirt or residue before beginning the installation.
- Set the bottom row of the tile first, so the row below is supporting the row of tile above during the setting process – 2 spacers separating each tile.
- Grout sealing is also recommended for backsplashes.
- Tile edges can be finished using a variety of Pencil Liners, Quarter rounds, and Schluter Trim of the same thickness.
