Routine Maintenance

  • Warning: Before cleaning, servicing nr maintaining this treadmill, please ennnre the power plug of the treadmill is pulled out.

Step 5.1 Regular cleaning of the treadmill

  • This will extend the useful life of the electric treadmill. Remove dust periodically in order to keep the parts clean. Be sure to clean running belt on both sides of the exposed parts, which will reduce the accumulation of dirt & dust. Use clean apparel & footwear to avoid leaving dirt on the running board and belt. Treadmill belts should be cleaned with a damp cloth and soap taking care to avoiding wetting electrical components. Clean the motor unit at least once a year (ensure power plug is disconnected before removing the motor cover.)

Step 5.2 Lubricating running belt & additional safeguards

  • This electric treadmill’s running board and running belt has been lubricated in factory Friction between the running belt and running board has a great influence on the life and the performance of the electric treadmill, therefore regular application of the
  • lubricant is recommended. We advise you to check the board regularly. If the board’s surface is damaged, please contact our customer service center. We recommend using the lubricant between running belt and board according to the following schedule:
  • Lightweight user< 3 hours a week – once per month;
  • Heavyweight use> 7 hours a week – once every half month.
  • To better safeguard your electric treadmill and extend the life of the machine, it is recommended that after each continued use of two hours, turn off the machine and let it rest for 10 minutes before using again.
  • If the treadmill belt is too loose, there will be skidding while running. If it’s too tight, it may reduce motor performance and cause abrasion between the rollers and the running belt.

Step 5.3 Running with properly adjusted alignment and tightness

  • For continuous good treadmill performance, it is necessary for you to adjust the running belt for optimum alignment & tightness.

Running belt alignment

  • Put electric treadmill flat on the ground
  • Set the treadmill at a speed of about 3km/hour
  • If the running belt is drifting towards the left, rotate the left adjusting bolt with 1 /2 turn clockwise, then rotate the right adjusting bolt with 1 /2 turn counter-clockwise. (Picture A)
  • If the running belt is too much to the right, rotate the right adjusting bolt with 1 /2 turn clockwise, then rotate the left adjusting bolt with 1/2 turn counter-clockwise. (Picture B)
  • Continue to tweak this until the belt is optimally aligned

Running belt tightness/tension adjustment

  • After a period of time, the running belt will loosen due to general operation of the moving parts. Here are some adjustment steps to take for the continued safe use of the treadmill. So how do you know when to make these running belt adjustments?
  • Belt slippage: during use, you may feel the occasional skidding pause which is a sign the running belt may be loosening. To confirm this is the case, move on to the next step.
  • Remove the four screws on the motor cover, run the treadmill at a speed of 1 km/h With both hands on the handlebars, put one foot on the belt and apply some weight on it.
  • If this doesn’t stop the running belt, the tightness is appropriate.
  • If the running belt stops and the motor belt and front roller are still running, it indicates that the running belt is loose and adjustments must be made.
  • To adjust the tightness of the running belt, turn both the adjustment bolts in a clockwise manner as pictured here.

Lubricating the running belt

  • Step 1: Cut the tip off the spout on the silicone oil bottle (Picture 1 ).
  • Step 2 : Locate the two small caps on the left & right end covers (Picture 2).
  • Step 3: Prise open the caps (Picture 3).
  • Step 4: Squeeze in silicone oil into the oil guides (Note: use about 1/4 of the bottle) (Picture 4).
  • Step 5 : Set the speed of the treadmill to 4-5km/h. Walk on the treadmill for 1 or 2 minutes to ensure the oil is evenly distributed.
