Product Information: Understanding ISO Leads
ISO-10487, created in 1995, is a type of connector that is commonly used for car audio systems. Most aftermarket car radios use these connectors. There are two types of male ISO connectors, A and B, where Connector A is used for power and Connector B is used for speakers. On the other hand, the female connector is used on the Car Radio loom or mounted in the chassis of the radio.

There is also a chassis mount ISO and a Female ISO with Butt connectors. The latter is used to convert radios without ISO connections. Pin out details for the chassis mount ISO are as follows:

- A6 Illumination
- A7 + 12V Switched
- A8 Ground
20-022 Female ISO with Butt connecters .Used to convert radios without ISO connections.
