GENERAL COMMENTS

Congratulations for having this Brush Cutter! Your Brush Cutter was carefully designed and manufactured to give you years of dependable service. Your Brush Cutter will require some minor maintenance to keep it in top working condition. Please observe all safety precautions and maintenance proced uresasd escribed in this manual.

BEFORE OPERATION

Thoroughly read and understand the instructions given in this manual before operation. Refer to the “Safety Label” section, read all instructions notedon them.

Do not allow anyone to operate his equipment who has not fully read and comprehended this manual and who has not been properly trainedinthesafe operation of the equipment.

SERVICE

Please remember to use only manufacturer replacement parts. Substitute parts may not meet the standards required for safe, dependable operation.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

BEFORE OPERATION
  1. The operator must read the operation manual carefully before installation, operation or maintenance. Improper operation will cause the machine damage or the operator death.
  2. Read all the safe signs and safe declarations. Follow all the professional safe terms, local laws or the professional directions.
  3. Familiar with the Brush Cutter about functions, specs and operation. Replace the to-be-damaged parts in time. Make sure all the hydraulic installations and couplings connect firmly, and all the safe signs stick onthesuitable positions clearly.

IMPORTANT

  1. Operator should be familiar with all functions of the unit.
  2. Make sure all guards and shields are in place and secured before peratingimplement.
  3. Keep all persons away from equipment and work area.
  4. Dismounting from a moving unit can cause serious injury or death.
  5. Keep hands, feet, and clothing away from power-driven parts.
  6. Detach and store implement in an area where children normally donot play. Secure implement by using blocks and supports.

Always wear proper safety glasses, goggles, or a face shield whend riving pins in or out, or when any operation causes dust, flying debris, or any other hazardous material.

Operator Safety
  • Wear protective clothing and equipment appropriate for the job. Clothing should be snug fitting without fringes and pull strings to avoid entanglement with moving parts.
  • Prolonged exposure to loud noise can cause hearing impairment or hearing loss. Wear suitable hearing protection such as earmuffs or earplugs.
  • Operating equipment safely requires the operators all attention, Avoid wearing radio headphones while operating machinery.
Tool Safety
  • Inspect entire machine before each use. Replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Check for fuel leaks and make sure all fasteners are in place andsecurelyfastened.
Wear Protective Equipment
  • Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing serious injury.
  • Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydrauliclinesor performing work on the system.
  • Make sure all hydraulic fluid connections are tight and all hydraulic hoses and lines are in good condition before applying pressure to the system.
  • Use a piece of paper or cardboard, NOT BODY PARTS to checkforsuspected leaks.
  • Wear protective gloves and safety glasses or goggles when workingwithhydraulic systems.
  • DO NOT DELAY. If an accident occurs, see a doctor familiar with this typeofinjury immediately. Any fluid injected into the skin or eyes must betreatedwithin a few hours or gangrene may result.
Transportation and Storing
  • Store machine and fuel where fuel vapors cannot reach sour combustion like, water heaters, electric motors, switches, furnaces, etc.
  • Always secure the machine with tie downs or similar restraints when transporting.
  • The machine be stored in a manner that prevents it from falling, rollingortipping.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Installation

Please verify that all hydraulic couplings are compatible before attempting to attach the Brush Cutter.

  1. Place the Brush Cutter attachment on a level surface.
  2. Position and align the prime mover to the rear of the attachment, within proximity of the front of prime mover.
  3. Insert and connect the prime mover into the attachment.
  4. Connect the hydraulic lines from the attachment to the prime mover.
  5. Close latches (or other locking mechanism) to secure the attachment to the prime mover.
  6. Using the prime mover, raise the attachment and move the attachment to ensure hydraulic lines are clear of air and operate properly.
  7. Lower the attachment to ground level.
  8. Inspect that the attachment is mounted properly and securely. If the attachment does not meet this requirement, follow the instructions to remove the Brush Cutter and re- attachusing the instructions above.

CAUTION: Hydraulics should operate in an even and smooth manner. Hydraulic movement that is not even and smooth may indicate that air is in the hydraulic lines.

Remove
  1. Using the prime mover, lower the attachment to the ground.
  2. To prevent contamination, remove any dirt and debris from the couplings. Disconnect the hydraulic connection between the attachment and the prime mover.
  3. Disengage the prime mover latches (or other locking mechanism) from the attachment.
  4. Move the prime mover from the attachment.

Hydraulic connections must be disconnected before disengaging latches to prevent damage to the prime mover or the attachment.
