How to charge Galaxy Watch5 faster
You might be so busy exploring all the exciting features that come with your
Galaxy Watch5 that you forget to keep your battery charged. Fortunately,
charging the Galaxy Watch5 is a nobrainer, and now there’s a way to make it
even faster. Read below how to keep your new Galaxy Watch 5 in top shape and
ready for use at all times
How much faster does a Galaxy Watch5 charge?
Galaxy Watch5 is tailored to give you the best charging experience and comes with an updated USB-C cable to support the use of the dedicated charging plate and PD charger (5 V / 2 A) together.
When charging for 30 minutes, the Watch 5 charges 45% and the Watch 5 Pro 35%.
Note: Samsung does not recommend the use of third-party or non-Samsung- approved accessories. Use of non-certified or non-genuine accessories may void your warranty and cause damage. To avoid preventing your device from charging and causing battery problems, be sure to use genuine Samsung chargers and cables purchased from our Samsung Experience stores or authorized retailers.
Why is my Galaxy Watch5 still charging normally?
There are some cases where faster charging will not work:
When using a universal wireless charging pad that does not support fast
charging
– eg: EP-P5400, P6300, etc.
When using the previous model’s charging plate – e.g. EP-OR500, EP-OR825.
When using the battery sharing function of a smartphone.
When using an EP-OR900 PAD with a charger that does not support PD – eg: AFC, QC charger, portable battery pack, PD non-supported USB port, etc.
Charging time varies with region, settings and environmental factors; actual results will vary
