BEFORE USE BEGINNING

Please, attentively read this instruction before the beginning of operation with scales.
Insert two AAA batteries as shown in the correct orientation when installed (batteries not included).

If scales are delivered with the established CR2032 battery, it is enough to remove blocking film from the battery, as is shown in drawing to work with scales.
For battery replacement, open a cover and establish a new battery, observing thus polarity.

SAFETY MEASURES

  • Electronic scales are designed for operation from the power supply with characteristics are specified on its marking.
  • THIS DEVICE MAY NOT BE USED BY PERSONS (INCLUDING CHILDREN) WITH REDUCED PHYSICAL, SENSORY OR MENTAL CAPABILITIES OR LACK OF EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE IF THEY ARE NOT SUPERVISED OR HAVE NOT BEEN INSTRUCTED CONCERNING THE USE OF THE DEVICE BY A PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SAFETY.
  • DON’T LEAVE THE DEVICE UNATTENDED IF IT IS SWITCHED ON OR WHEN CHILDREN ARE PRESENT NEAR IT. DON’T LET THE CHILDREN PLAY WITH OR USE THE DEVICE. CHILDREN AT THE AGE OF 8 AND OVER ARE ALLOWED TO USE THE DEVICE IF THEY ARE CONSTANTLY SUPERVISED BY ADULTS.
  • In order to reduce the risk of damage of the device:
    • do not open up the housing of the product;
    • do not expose the electrical part of the device to rain or moisture;
    • do not immerse the device in water or other liquid;
  • The device is designed for operating indoors, for domestic use only. Commercial use of the device is prohibited.
  • In any malfunctions occurs in the course of operation discontinue to use the device. Refer to the nearest service center. Never fix problems by yourself.
  • Do not place the device close to any sources of heat, such as: heating radiators, gas stoves; or in areas subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration or impact loads.
  • After transportation under low temperature conditions, the device can be connected to the mains only after two hours in a warm room.
  • Do not use any chemically active liquids (petrol, kerosene, alcohol, various solvents) for cleaning the housing of the device.
  • Any faults in storage, transportation or operation of the device are not covered by the warranty.

SCALES OPERATION

  1. Place scale onto solid, steady, horizontal surface.
    Wait few seconds until scales reset to zero sensors indications and self- testing operation.

  2. Set the desired measurement system (grams / pounds) by pressing the « » button.

To measure the volume, use the « » button to convert the units to ml / «liquid ounces».
SCALES OPERATION

  1. Set the weight on the scale platform (or bowl), the display will display the  weight (volume) in the specified units. Distribute the load evenly in relation to the center of the platform.

  2. The scales are equipped with a function of zero weight. When weighing up to 200 g. the display shows the «ZERO» function symbol – . If the weight is more than 200 g. the «TARE» function symbol -is displayed . After the display has reset to zero, place the container on the platform and then press the « » (D) button, the display will reset to zero again, and you can continue weighing without taking into account the container. However, the maximum weight allowed for weighing will be reduced by the tare weight. You can also set the container before turning on the scale, the weight of the container in this case will also not be taken into account.
    SCALES OPERATION

  3. Scales designed for weighing the weight to 5 pounds. If the indicator is overweight, it will display an error. If you use a bowl or other weighing device and reset its weight to zero, the maximum allowed weight will be reduced by the weight of this bowl.

  4. After the end of weighing, the scale will turn off automatically in 2 minutes.

NOTES

  • Don’t leave the battery inside if you don’t intend to use scales for a long time.
  • If as a result two-fold measurement scales have displayed different results, true weight is between these two values.
  • After completion of weighting do not leave objects on the scales and do not allow pressure on the platform of in the course of storage.
  • The manufacturer reserves the right to change the design.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • Scales may be wiped with slightly moist cloth.
  • Do not use chemically active or abrasive detergents, since it may damage the surface of scales.
  • Don’t clean scales with tools.
  • Never moisten, and do not immerse the device into the water or other liquid.

INSTRUCTIONS ON ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

Old devices represent set of technical materials and consequently cannot be utilized with a household waste. We wanted to ask you to support actively us in business of economy of resources and protection of environment and after the service life termination to hand over this device in recycling place of acceptance (if the such is available).

FREQUENT MALFUNCTIONS, REASONS AND METHODS FOR ELIMINATION

Scales do not react on buttons pushing or are not switched on| Electronic or static error. Discharged battery| Remove the battery, wait a few seconds and place the battery back. Make sure the battery is not discharged
