WARNING: DON’T ARRANGE KETTLE NEAR HEAT SOURCES, SUCH AS: HEATING RADIATORS, GAS STOVES, OR AT PLACES EXPOSED TO DIRECT SUN RAYS, EXCESSIVE DUST, MECHANICAL VIBRATION OR IMPACT LOADS. DON’T COVER THE KETTLE IN ANY WAY. PULL THE PLUG TO DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY CORD. NEVER PULL THE CORD. AVOID PENETRATION OF WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS TO THE BASE UNIT WITH CONTACT BLOCK AS I MAY CAUSE DAMAGE OF THE KETTLE. Production date can be found in the product’s serial number: the 3d and 4th digits stand for the month of production, the 5th digit stands for the year of production (from 2010 to 2019). For example: 120 ­ December 2010.

BEFORE USE

Please read these operating instructions before kettle operating. Before the first use or in case of long time interruption in operation it is recommended to pour water to the maximum level mark and bring it to the boiling. Pour off the boiled water, repeat the procedure twice.

OPERATION

  1. Arrange kettle with the base unit at flat dry heat-resistant surface as close to the socket as possible.
  2. Make sure the kettle is switched off and then plug it in. The switch should be set to «O» position.
  3. Fill the kettle with water through the top open. Water volume shall be not less than 0.2 l , but not more than the volume marked at the scale as «MAX».
  4. Tightly close the top of the kettle otherwise the kettle won’t switch off when boiling.
  5. Put the kettle on the base plugged in. The design of the kettle makes it possible to put it on the base from any side.
  6. Push ON push button (C) to boil the water. Illumination will light up then.
  7. Wait till water is boiling. The kettle will switch off automatically. Boiling process may be stopped manually at any time by power button (C). In order to make repeated boiling, it is necessary to wait a while, till the kettle get cold a little and heat-sensing device arrives to home position.
  8. Don’t open the top in the process of boiling and immediately after in order to avoid thermal injury.

NOTES

  1. Never fill the kettle with any liquid except water.
  2. Be money-saving: don’t boil more water than you need. This will reduce power consumption and increase the operating life of the kettle.
  3. Condensate may appear in the kettle in the course of operation.
  4. Never heat the kettle on gas or electric stove.
  5. The kettle shall be used only with the base completed with the supply.
  6. The manufacturer reserves the right to make change in the kettle’s design.

SAFETY MEASURES

  • The kettle operates from power supply; power supply technical characteristics are specified in the manual.

  • The kettle must be used only upright. Never use it on uneven and non-heat resistant surface.

  • Use a separate socket for the kettle.

  • The device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental ability or if they have no experience or knowledge, if they are not under control or not instructed on the use of the instrument the person responsible for their safety.

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

  • To avoid the danger, if the power cord has been damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, its agent or similar qualified person.

  • As surface temperature of the kettle can be over 60°, do not touch it except for a handle and buttons.

  • Distance between the kettle and other appliances above it must be over 50 cm in order not to be damaged by steam. Avoid close position to other appliances that are easily distorted due to high temperature.

  • Be careful when the kettle is plugged in or when children are around. A power supply cord must not be hung down as children can pull it, throw the kettle and get burnt.

  • In order to avoid a fire or electric shock:
    – keep the appliance plugged out if it is not used;
    – do not cover the kettle;
    – do not use the kettle in wet places;
    – do not plug in the kettle if there is water on its base’s surface;
    – do not plug in and plug out by wet hands;
    – do not allow overheating of a plug; it must be fully and tightly put into a socket;
    – do not the kettle if a power supply cord is damaged or soaked; – plug out the kettle before cleaning;
    – never pull a power supply cord to switch off the appliance, just pull carefully a plug from an outlet;
    – keep the appliance in a dry and cool place.

  • The kettle is for household use.

  • The kettle has a European type plug. Use a grounded outlet.

  • In case of any work failure, please, apply to the nearest maintenance center with a warrantee certificate. Never fix problems by yourself.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • The kettle must be cleaned regularly in order to remove calciferous sediments. A bulk of sediments on a heating element can cause a breakage of the kettle.
  • Plug out the kettle and let it cool down, then clean it with a wet cloth using soda. Do not use reactive and abrasive detergents as they can damage a surface of the kettle.
  • Do not use tools when cleaning the kettle.
  • To prevent calciferous sediments getting to your cup the kettle is equipped with a filter that must be regularly washed with water. The sediment appeared due to lime water boiling inside of the kettle is not harmful.
  • The kettle must be thoroughly washed after cleaning.
  • Never put the device into water or another liquid.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

The old devices are the package of the technical materials; therefore they can not be recovered with the domestic waste! On that reason, please, support us in the resources saving and environmental protection and return the unit to the recycling center (if applicable).
