Itari PM-241-BT Bluetooth Thermal Label Printer

Product Information

The Itari PM-241-BT is a Bluetooth-enabled printer that requires the Labelife app for connection between the phone and the printer to work. It supports Bluetooth connection to a Windows PC for wireless printing. The printer can catch labels automatically and supports PDF files for printing. The Labelife app provides options to import PDFs from various sources and allows users to crop and print PDF files with different settings.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your cell phone.
2. Download the Labelife app from App Store (for iPhone or iPad users) or Google Play Store (for Android users).
3. Plug in the power and turn on the printer. Load label into printer.
4. Turn on your smartphone’s Bluetooth and leave it on, but DO NOT connect your phone’s Bluetooth directly to the printer.
5. Open Labelife App. Click the button on the upper right corner, Labelife will search your printer and connect it automatically.
6. To import PDFs, choose one of the following methods:
   • Method 1: Import through File Manager – open PDF, import PDF files (for iOS users) or File Manager (for Android users), choose your PDF file and open.
   • Method 2: Import through sharing – open your PDF file with any pdf reader application, share your file to Labelife and open.
7. To print a PDF file, follow these steps:
   • Click PDF processing into cropping mode, choose your label’s size and confirm.
   • Select Print and enter Print Setting. Make some settings as you want and make sure the preview is what you want. Finally, print out.
8. To connect with Windows PC, follow these steps:
   • Enter Add a device page and select Bluetooth.
   • Select the Bluetooth name which shows on the self-test page.
   • Go to control panel → Devices and printers.
   • Right-click on QR380A-241-0D05 → properties → Service, get the port name.

Preface

The Itari PM-241-BT requires Labelife APP for the connection between the phone and the printer to work.

• Do not link the printer directly via Bluetooth.
• Do not print through the print function that comes with the phone.

Here is the Bluetooth printing workflow. It will be explained in the following section

• Turn on the Bluetooth function of your cell phone.
• Download the labelife app
• Go to the app for Bluetooth connection
• Import PDF files
• Set the parameters
• Click on the print button

Itari PM-241-BT supports Bluetooth connection to a windows PC for wireless printing. Please view in the section 7. Let’s get start with it.

App Download

• Search “labelife” on App Store (for iPhone or iPad users) or Google Play Store (for Android users).
• Click in www.labelife.itaricartridge.com download labelife.
• Or scan the QR code with camera to download the app.

Printer Connection

• Get printer ready!

1. Plug in the power and turn on the printer.
2. Load label into printer. Printer will catch the label automatically.

• Turn on your smartphone’s Bluetooth and leave it on, but DO NOT connect your phone’s Bluetooth directly to the printer.
• Open Labelife App.
• Click the ” ” button on the upper right corner, Labelife will search your printer and connect it automatically.
• When the connection is successful, it will turn into a green checkmark .

Import Files

We provide two methods for you to import PDFs into labelife. You can import PDF from Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram or File Manager.

• Method 1: Import through “File Manager”.
  • Open PDF Import PDF Files (For IOS users) / File Manager (For Android users).
  • Choose your PDF file and open.
• Method 2: Import through sharing.
  • Open your PDF file with any pdf reader application.
  • Share your file to Labelife and open.

Print A PDF File

(e.g. 4’’x6’’ shipping label)

Preface: Before starting this part, please finish importing the pdf file first. The steps to import a pdf are in the previous section.

• Click PDF processing into cropping mode. Choose your label’s size and confirm.
  • Courier Order: for Standard size shipping label PDF document. Usually in 4’’x4’’, 4’’x6’’, 4’’x8’’.
  • LTL/product PDF: for multiple labels in the one page. labelife will cut out the labels one by one.
  • Crop PDF file: for cropping as you want.
• Print enter Print Setting.
• Make some setting as you want. And make sure the preview is what you want.
• Finally print out.

Connect with Windows PC

• Itari Bluetooth label printer supports Bluetooth connection to a windows PC for wireless printing. Let’s see how to do it.
• Before connect with PC via Bluetooth, please finish driver installation with USB CABEL.

1. After driver installation. Open “Settings” –> “Device”. Turn on the Bluetooth function.
2. Click on “Add Bluetooth or other device”
3. Enter “Add a device” page. Select Bluetooth.
4. Select the Bluetooth name which shows on the self-test page. How to get a self-test page? — Press and hold the FEED button, wait for the blue light to blink once, and then release the FEED button. The printer will automatically print out the self-test page.
5. Then go to “control panel” –> “Devices and printers”
6. Right click on “QR380A-241-0D05” –> “properties” –> “Service” , get the port name and remember it.
7. Then right click on “PM-241-BT” –> “Printer Properties” –> “Ports” tab –> then tick the right port you just remember.
8. If the list does not show the port you just remember. Click “Add port” –> “Local Port” –> “New Port” then enter the port you just remember.
9. Click “Apply” –> “OK”. Save the setting.
   • Now, the connection have been done. You can print a test page to verify that the connection is successful.

NOTE:  This feature is perfectly compatible with Windows 10, and all other versions of windows can follow this method. But it is not guaranteed to be perfectly compatible. Thanks.

2022.2 update: We found that after successful connection, the corresponding option in the settings will show “Driver not available”. This is a display error, as long as you can print a test page via Bluetooth from computer, the connection is successful. We are working on fixing this bug!
