Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before using the coffee maker, be sure to read the user manual carefully.
  2. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the desired level.
  3. Insert a coffee filter into the filter basket and add ground coffee to taste.
  4. Place the filter basket into the coffee maker and close the lid.
  5. Plug in the coffee maker and press the power button to turn it on.
  6. The coffee maker will begin brewing the coffee. Wait until it is finished brewing before pouring the coffee into your cup.
  7. After use, be sure to clean the coffee maker according to the instructions in the user manual.

PURPOSE OF THE APPLIANCE: for making coffee from ground coffee beans.
This device is intended for use in domestic and similar conditions, in particular:

  • in kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices and other industrial conditions;
  • on agricultural farms;
  • clients in hotels, motels and other residential infrastructure;
  • in private boarding houses.

SECURITY MEASURES

The following requirements should be strictly observed in order to avoid situations hazardous for human life and health, as well as premature failures of the appliance:

  1. Please read this manual carefully before putting the device into operation. Keep  these instructions, the cash receipt and the packaging of the device.
  2. Improper handling of the coffee maker can lead to its breakdown, cause material damage and harm the health of the user.
  3. To avoid electric shock and damage to the device, use only those accessories that are included in the delivery package.
  4. Before turning on the coffee maker, make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the operating voltage of the appliance.
  5. Place the coffee maker on a dry, flat surface. Do not place it on hot surfaces or near heat sources (electric stove, etc.), as well as near curtains or under hanging shelves.
  6. To avoid burns, do not touch the hot surfaces of the coffee maker.
  7. The device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or sensory abilities or lack of life experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed to use the device by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to prevent playing with the device.
  8. Do not turn on the coffee maker without water.
  9. Use only cold water to make coffee.

BEFORE FIRST USE

CLEANING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Carefully remove the appliance from the box and remove all packaging materials from it.
  2. Remove all accessories from the box and from the inside of the appliance.
  3. Remove the water tank.
  4. Clean the tank, tank cover, measuring spoon, filter and filter holder with warm water with a small quantity of mild dishwashing detergent. Then rinse with pure water and let dry.
  5. Also wipe the coffee make body, drip tray and grille with a damp soft cloth and let all parts dry.
  6. 6. Ensure that the milk tank is assembled correctly.
    NOTE: do not wash the coffee filter and filter holder in a dishwashing machine!

FIRST USE

  1. Fill the water tank and milk tank with cold water to the MAX level.

  2. Insert the power plug into a suitable electric socket.
    Press the ON/OFF button; the power indicator will light up, the coffee maker will automatically start to heat up. When the process is over all button indicators will light continuously.
    Place a cup under the boiler head. Turn the milk supply selector dial counterclockwise. Press and hold the LATTE button for 3 seconds. The appliance will start discharging hot water through the milk supply pipe. Allow the hot water to flow from the milk tube for approx. 8 seconds, and then press the LATTE button once again to stop the process. This will allow water to fill the empty pump for the first use.
    NOTE: there will be a noise and some vibration when the appliance is started for the first time. This is normal for a 20 bar pump and not a malfunction.
    Install the filter in the filter holder.
    Inset the filter without any ground coffee into the boiler head, holding the handle at 45° to the right and then turn it to the left to lock it in place. The filter holder should stick straight ahead from the coffee maker body or be slightly turned to the right.

  3. Place an empty cup under the filter holder and press the ESPRESSO button once.

  4. After boiling cycle completion, discard the water.
    Your coffee maker is now ready for use.

MAKING ESPRESSO

  1. Remove the filter holder and fill it with ground coffee using the measuring spoon  (19).
    NOTE: the recommended quantity of coffee is 7 to 9 grams for one cup, 13 to 15 g for a double espresso. The quantity may differ depending on your preferences and the ground coffee that you use.

  2. Compress the ground coffee with the thumper (19). The ground coffee should be uniformly compressed to obtain a smooth and plain surface. Wipe the remaining coffee off the filter holder rim.

  3. Inset the filter without any ground coffee into the boiler head, holding the handle at 45° to the right and then turn it to the left to lock it in place. The filter holder should stick straight ahead from the coffee maker body or be slightly turned to the right.

  4. Place pre-heated cups under the filter holder.

  5. Press the ESPRESSO button once to make a single espresso. The button indicator will flash with a white light during the boiling process.

  6. Press the ESPRESSO button once to make a double espresso. The button indicator will flash with a blue light during the boiling process.

  7. The appliance will start making the coffee as selected. Upon completion of the process the button indicator will light continuously to indicate that the working cycle is completed.

NOTE: the taste of coffee may depend on many factors, such as the type and roasting level of the coffee beans used, the freshness, grinding fineness, quantity of ground coffee and the compression degree. You may have to experiment, varying these factors one by one to obtain the taste that fits your preferences.

In order to make coffee in a different quantity press and hold the ESPRESSO button for 3 seconds, the coffee will be made continuously. To stop the process, press the button once again.

MAKING CAPPUCCINO

  1. Slide the retaining clip of the milk tank to the “UNLOCKED” position.

  2. Grab the milk tank and its lid with both hands and pull it off the coffee maker. The CAPPUCCINO and LATTE button lights will go out indicating that the milk tank is not connected.
    ATTENTION! Do not hold the milk tank or its lid by one hand only, as they may fall down.

  3. Оpen the lid and fill the tank with cold whole milk (5~10°C).

  4. Close the lid. Hold the milk tank and its lid by both hands and attach it to the coffee maker.

  5. Slide the milk tank retaining clip to the LOCKED position. The CAPPUCCINO and LATTE buttons will light up and start blinking indicating that the coffe maker is being pre-heated.

  6. Place the pre-heated cup(s) under the filter holder.
    ATTENTION! When making cappuccino always adjust the milk supply arm so that the tube is directed towards the cup. (see picture)

  7. Press the CAPPUCCINO button once to make a small cup of cappuccino. The button indicator will flash with a white light during the boiling process.

  8. Press the CAPPUCCINO button twice to make a large cup of cappuccino. The button indicator will flash with a blue light during the boiling process.

  9. The appliance will start making the coffee as selected. Upon completion of the process the button indicator will light continuously to indicate that the working cycle is completed.

NOTE: use a single cup filter for making a small cup of cappuccino. For a large cup, use the double size filter.
IMPORTANT: always clean the milk discharge tube after use (see cleaning instructions).

MAKING LATTE

  1. Perform steps 1 to 6 for making cappuccino.
  2. Press the LATTE button once to make a small cup of latte. The button indicator will flash with a white light during the boiling process.
  3. Press the LATTE button twice to make a large cup of latte. The button indicator will flash with a blue light during the boiling process.
  4. The appliance will start making the coffee as selected.
  5. The appliance will shut down automatically; the button indicator will light continuously to indicate that the working cycle is completed.

ADDING MORE MILK FOAM / MAKING MILK FOAM MANUALLY

  1. Place the previously prepared drink or an empty cup under the boiler head. Ensure that the milk discharge tube is directed into the cup.
  2. Press and hold the CAPPUCCINO button for 3 seconds; the appliance will start foaming milk. The CAPPUCCINO button indicator will intermittently flash with a white and blue light.
  3. When completed, press the CAPPUCCINO button once again to stop the process.

ESPRESSO VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
When pre-heating is over, press and hold the ESPRESSO button for 3 seconds. The indicators of the ESPRESSO, CAPPUCCINO and LATTE buttons will intermittently flash with a blue light, indicating that the appliance is ready for coffee volume adjustment.

NOTE: if no operations are performed within 15 seconds the appliance will return to standby mode.

  1. In order to adjust the volume of a single cup of espresso, press the ESPRESSO button once. The appliance will emit three audio signals and start boiling.
  2. In order to adjust the volume of a double cup of espresso, press the ESPRESSO button twice. The appliance will emit three audio signals and start boiling.
  3. When the desired volume is reached, press the ESPRESSO button once again to stop the process. The appliance will emit three audio signals to indicate that the volume is successfully set up. The appliance will return to the standby mode.

NOTE: the volume can be adjusted within a range of 25 to 200 ml.

CAPPUCCINO VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
When pre-heating is over, press and hold the ESPRESSO button for 3 seconds. The indicators of the ESPRESSO, CAPPUCCINO and LATTE buttons will intermittently flash with a blue light, indicating that the appliance is ready for coffee volume adjustment.

  1. In order to adjust the volume of a small cup of cappuccino, press the CAPPUCCINO button once. The appliance will emit three audio signals and start foaming milk.
  2. In order to adjust the volume of a large cup of cappuccino, press the CAPPUCCINO button twice. The appliance will emit three audio signals and start foaming milk.
  3. When the desired volume of milk foam is reached, press the CAPPUCCINO button once again. Automatic espresso making will start.
  4. When the desired volume is reached, press the CAPPUCCINO button once again to stop the process. The appliance will emit three audio signals to indicate that the volume is successfully set up. The appliance will return to the standby mode.

NOTE: the milk foaming time can be adjusted within a range of 6 to 120 seconds. The espresso volume can be adjusted within a range of 25 to 200 ml.

LATTE VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
When pre-heating is over, press and hold the ESPRESSO button for 3 seconds. The indicators of the ESPRESSO, CAPPUCCINO and LATTE buttons will intermittently flash with a blue light, indicating that the appliance is ready for coffee volume adjustment.

  1. In order to adjust the volume of a small cup of latte, press the LATTE button once. The appliance will emit three audio signals and start foaming milk.
    In order to adjust the volume of a large cup of latte, press the LATTE button twice. The appliance will emit three audio signals and start foaming milk.
    When the desired volume of milk foam is reached, press the LATTE button once again. Automatic espresso making will start.

  2. When the desired volume is reached, press the LATTE button once again to stop the process. The appliance will emit three audio signals to indicate that the volume is successfully set up. The appliance will return to the standby mode.

COFFEE TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT

  1. Press the ON/OFF button; the power indicator will light up and the automatic pre-heating will be activated. When the process is over, all indicators will light continuously.
  2. When the pre-heating is over, simultaneously press and hold the ESPRESSO and LATTE buttons for 5 seconds. Then enter the main temperature setting menu. One of the indicators will flash with a white light, which will mean the following:
    • The ESPRESSO light is flashing / the display shows the value 001 – low temperature coffee boiling mode.
      The CAPPUCCINO light is flashing / the display shows the value 002 – medium temperature coffee boiling mode (default).
      The LATTE light is flashing / the display shows the value 003 – high temperature coffee boiling mode.
      Press the relevant button to select the desired temperature mode. After 5 seconds the CAPPUCCINO button indicator will blink 3 times, the temperature will be successfully set and the appliance will return to the coffee making mode.
      NOTE: if no operations are performed within 15 seconds the appliance will quit the settings mode return to standby mode.

RESTORING FACTORY DEFAULTS
To restore the factory defaults for espresso, cappuccino and latte volumes, simultaneously press and hold the ESPRESSO and CAPPUCCINO buttons for 5 seconds. The appliance will restore the initial default settings.

LOW WATER WARNING
When the water level in the tank is low the indicators of the ESPRESSO, CAPPUCCINO and LATTE buttons will simultaneously flash with a blue light. When this warning appears, proceed as follows:

  1. Refill the tank with water at room temperature.
  2. Place an empty cup under the boiler head and bend the milk supply tube towards the empty cup.
    Press any of the buttons: ESPRESSO, CAPPUCCINO or LATTE. The appliance will start pumping and heating the water.
    As soon as hot water starts to issue from the milk tube, all indicators will light continuously.

The appliance is now ready for operation.

AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN
The coffee maker will automatically shut down if no operations are selected within 15 minutes in standby mode. All indicator lights will go out. Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the appliance back on.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Regular cleaning and maintenance will keep the coffee maker in good operating order and ensure the ideal taste of the coffee, as well as reliable coffee making and milk foaming for a prolonged period of time.

CLEANING THE MILK TANK AND SUPPLY TUBE
When you have finished making coffee with milk, you may either directly store the removed milk tank in a refrigerator, or completely clean the milk tank and milk supply tube.
It is important to clean the milk foaming system immediately after making cappuccino, latte or manual milk foaming.
Milk residue can clog the foaming system, causing problems, adversely affecting the taste of the coffee or creating an unpleasant smell.

If you store the milk tank with milk in a refrigerator, follow the cleaning instructions below:

  1. Place a large empty cup under the milk supply tube and ensure that the water tank is filled with water.
  2. Direct the milk supply tube into the empty cup.
  3. Press and hold the LATTE button for 3 seconds. The appliance will start discharging hot water from the milk supply tube. This cleaning cycle will be performed for 35 seconds and then stop automatically.
  4. You may repeat the steps 1 to 3 in order to ensure that all milk residue is completely removed.
  5. Now the milk tube is clean and the milk tank can be stored in a refrigerator.

FOR COMPLETE MILK TANK CLEANING FOLLOW THE DEEP CLEANING PROCEDURE:

  1. Place a large empty cup under the milk supply tube and ensure that the water tank is filled with water.
  2. Remove the milk tank from the coffee maker and discard the remaining milk. Fill the milk tank with pure water.
  3. Direct the milk supply tube into an empty cup.
  4. Press and hold the LATTE button for 3 seconds. The appliance will start discharging hot water from the milk supply tube. This cleaning cycle will be performed for 35 seconds and then stop automatically.
  5. Press and hold the CAPPUCCINO button for 3 seconds. The appliance will start discharging hot water from the milk supply tube. This cleaning cycle will be performed for 2 minutes and then stop automatically.
  6. You may repeat the steps 1 to 5 to ensure that all milk residues have been completely removed.
  7. Thoroughly rinse all parts of the milk tank and its lid with warm water and soap. Let the parts thoroughly dry. Do not use abrasive detergents and dishwashing sponges, as these can scratch the surface. You may also wash the milk tank and its lid in a dishwashing machine.

CLEANING THE FILTER HOLDER AND FILTERS
The filter holder and filters should be kept clean in order to guarantee excellent coffee making results.
ATTENTION! To avoid burns the filter should only be removed after the filter holder has completely cooled down.

  1. Pull the filter from the filter holder and rinse it with warm water.
  2. If you encounter a malfunction during coffee making, put the filter in boiling water for 10 minutes, then rinse under a tap.
    NOTE: do not wash the filter holder and filters in a dishwashing machine.

BOILER HEAD CLEANING
Regularly remove ground coffee residue from the boiler head with a brush and rinse them with hot water following the instructions below.

  1. Insert the empty filter holder into the boiler head, do not use any ground coffee.
  2. Place an empty cup under the boiler head.
  3. Press the double cup button and fill the cup with water and fill the cup with water.
  4. Remove the filter holder from the boiler head and wipe the boiler head with a dry cloth.

ATTENTION! Do not attempt to disassemble the boiler head. This will damage the head and cause a leak.

CLEANING THE WATER TANK
Drain the remaining water by removing the water tank and turning it upside down over a sink.
It is recommended to always drain the water tank when the coffee maker is not in use. Wash the water tank with soap water, rinse well and wipe dry.
NOTE: do not wash the water tank in a dishwashing machine.

SCALE REMOVAL
In order to ensure effective coffee maker operation, clean the inner tubing and retain the taste of coffee, regular scale removal and maintenance is required.
Besides, after every 500 coffee making cycles the appliance will emit a scale removal warning. The indicator of the ON/OFF button will blink 5 times indicating that the appliance requires scale removal. The scale removal warning will appear each time the unit is turned on, unless the scale removal cycle is started.
The frequency of scale removal depends on the hardness of the water used.

SCALE REMOVAL PROCEDURE

  1. Mix water and a scale removal product (4 parts of water for 1 part of scale remover) and fill it into the water tank to the MAX level mark.

  2. Place an empty cup or any other suitable vessel on the drip tray.
    Please use a domestic scale remover. You may also use citric acid instead of commercial scale removal products – in this case use 100 parts of water for three parts of citric acid.

  3. Simultaneously press and hold the CAPPUCCINO and LATTE buttons for 5 minutes. The appliance will start the scale removal cycle with a duration of 6 minutes and then will stop automatically.

  4. Repeat the previous steps until the water tank is empty.

  5. Then repeat the whole procedure two more times using ONLY PURE TAP WATER without any scale removal chemicals.
