Product Information

The ZBIERACZ DO LICI is a leaf collector that is used to collect leaves and other debris from lawns and gardens. It comes with a handle, a collection basket, mounting brackets, and connecting rods that allow it to be attached to a vehicle or trailer. The product is designed to be easy to use and maintain.

Product Usage Instructions

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the User Instructions carefully before use

Save these instructions for future reference.

  • The lawn sweeper must not be used by children.
  • Do not permit anyone to ride on the lawn sweeper.
  • Do not attach the hopper rope to your clothing or to your body. The rope should be attached to the vehicle towing the sweeper. Make sure it cannot get caught in moving parts.
  • If someone other than the owner is going to use the sweeper, that person must study the instructions in detail before use.
  • This product is designed to sweep up grass, twigs, etc. It is not designed for sweeping up sharp and heavy objects such as stones and metal items.
  • Always wear safety glasses when using the lawn sweeper.
  • Do not use the lawn sweeper near fire, as the brushes and hopper bag might catch fire.
  • The brush must not rotate if string or wire has become entangled and must be removed from the brush.
  • Do not exceed the collection capacity of the hopper, which is 0.34 m³.
  • To avoid overturning, reduce speed when working on uneven ground, along ditches and on slopes. Watch out for pits in the ground and other hidden dangers.
  • The lawn sweeper is not designed for use on streets or large roads. Beware of traffic when using the sweeper near public roads.
  • The lawn sweeper may be used at a maximum speed of 10 km/h.
  • Make sure that all the nuts and bolts are tightened fully.
  • If you hit an object, inspect the sweeper and, if necessary, repair it before using it again.
  • Check that the lawn sweeper is in good condition before use.
  • The sweeper’s wheel axles must be lubricated before each use.

ASSEMBLY

References to right and left are from the operator’s position while seated on the towing vehicle.

  1. Mount the angle bracket on the chassis using an M8x16 bolt and M8 lock nut. Make sure the bracket is positioned as illustrated (fig. 1).

  2. Cut off the plastic tie holding the height adjustment in place.

  3. Fit the right hitch rod on the chassis using an M6x40 bolt and M6 lock nut (fig. 2). Do not tighten fully yet. Fit the left hitch rod in the same way.Axley-729026-Tow-Lawn-Sweeper-FIG- \(5\)

  4. Fasten the two hitch rods together using two M8x65 bolts and two M8 lock nuts (fig. 3). Do not tighten fully yet.

  5. The sweeper hitch is mounted in different ways, depending on the height of the tractor/lawnmower hitch (figs. 4 and 5).

  6. Tighten all nuts and bolts. Start with those fastening the hitch rods to the chassis. Next, tighten those fastening the front part of the hitch rods
    together. Finally, tighten the nuts and bolts on the hitch.

  8. Assemble the height adjustment handle. Use two M8x40 bolts and M8 lock nuts (fig. 6). Do not tighten fully yet.

  9. Fit the grip onto the adjustment handle (fig. 6).

  10. Insert an M8x20 bolt through the angle bracket. Then onto the bolt fit a bushing, height adjustment strap, washer and an M8 lock nut (fig. 7). Tighten.

  12. Assemble the Connecting Rod to the sweeper housing by using two sets of Hex Bolt M6x12 and Lock Nut M6 (fig.9).

Assembling the hopper bag

  1. Turn the upper rear tube of the hopper bag so that the holes in the middle are facing down (1) (fig. 10). Slide the tube through the loops along the upper seam (2) of the bag.

  2. Insert the rear tube in the flaps on the bag (fig. 11).

  3. Fit the tubes together (fig. 11).

  4. Turn the lower rear tube of the hopper bag so that the holes in the middle are facing up. Fit together with the front lower tubes (fig. 12)Axley-729026-Tow-Lawn-Sweeper-FIG- \(9\)

  5. Place the lower tube in the lower part of the hopper bag. Fit together the upper and lower tubes (fig. 13).

  6. Place the lower support rod in the bag’s front seam. Attach the support rod in the lower tubes (fig. 14).

  8. Place the bag on its back on the floor. Position the two support rods in the lower and upper tubes (fig. 16). Do not bend the rods too much, as this
    may cause them to loose supporting tension.

  9. Feel along the upper side tube to locate the lower hole. Make a hole in the bag in line with the lower hole (fig. 17). Insert a lock pin through the hole and attach the bag holder on this (fig. 18). Now place a plastic cap on the end of the bag holder.   10. Secure the rope to the middle of the upper rear tube (fig. 19).

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

WARNING
Improper maintenance and storage of the sweeper may void your warranty.

MAINTENANCE

  • After each use clean material out of hopper
  • Rinse dry inside and outside of the sweeper after each use.
  • Remove any material which has wrapped around the brushes.
  • Periodically check all fasteners for tightness.
  • Twice a year apply a few drops of light multipurpose oil to the brush shaft bearings.
  • Annually clean and lightly lubricate all moving parts
  • Every two years remove and clean gears and apply an even Goat of light synthetic grease.
  • Use a glossy enamel spray paint to touch up scratched or worn painted metal surfaces
  • Never exceed the hopper load capacity rating it will damage the bag.

LUBRICATION

The bearings in the sweeper have been pre-lubricated at the factory; however, it is recommended That a few drops of light multipurpose oil should be added to the brush shalt bearings twice a year Also, the wheels should be removed too clean gears every two years. After cleaning apply an even coat of light synthetic grease.

NOTE:
To remove wheel, use a screwdriver to pop off hub cap) remove the lock nut and washer.

WHEEL GEARS/PAWL SERVICE

DO NOT remove both wheels at the same time. Remove one wheel at a time to prevent use the wrong parts for the opposite side (left and right sides are different). When removing gears make notes on position of all washers and other parts.
