LEVITON HDF3168 Seismic Mounting Kit
Product Information
The HDF 3168 High Density Patching Frame Seismic Mounting Kit is designed to
meet GR63 standards for installations in Seismic Zones. The kit includes
seismic foot plates that are placed over the
mounting holes to secure the frame to the structural floor. The mounting
hardware (nuts, bolts, locking washers) is not included in the kit.
Product Usage Instructions
Before using the HDF 3168 High Density Patching Frame Seismic Mounting Kit, it is important to read and understand all instructions and safety information provided in the user manual. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.
Installation
- Mark and install the required anchoring hardware to mount the HDF 3168 Frame per the frame mounting User Guide (DI-000-F3168-20A).
- Prior to securing the frame to the structural floor with bolts and locking washers, place the seismic foot plates over the mounting holes as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
- Install the locking washers, washers, and bolts to the installed anchors and tighten to the manufacturers recommended torque.
CAUTION: All removal from packaging, transport, and placement of the Frame is recommended to be performed by two people. Never install communications wiring or components during a lightning storm. Do not use this product near water — e.g., near a tub, wash basin, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool. Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltages. Use caution when installing or modifying communications wiring or components.

- Never install communications wiring or components during a lightning storm.
- Never install communications components in wet locations unless the components are designed specifically for use in wet locations.
- Never touch uninsulated wires or terminals unless the wiring has been disconnected at the network interface.
- Use caution when installing or modifying communications wiring or components.

DESCRIPTION

INSTALLATION
CAUTION: All removal from packaging, transport and placement of the Frame is recommended to be performed by two people.

Mark and install the required anchoring hardware to mount the HDF 3168 Frame per the frame mounting User Guide
(DI-000-F3168-20A). -
Prior to securing the frame to the structural floor with bolts and locking washers, place the seismic foot plates over the mounting holes as shown (Figures 1 and 2).

Install the locking washers, washers and bolts to the installed anchors and tighten to the manufacturer’s recommended torque.
NOTE:
Mounting hardware (nuts, bolts, locking washers) is not included.
