Safety Notes

  • Protect the product from dirt, moistureand overheating, andonly use it in adry environment.
  • Do not use the product in areas wherethe use of electronic devices is not permitted.
  • Do not drop the product and do not exposeitto anymajor shocks.
  • Do not put the product near interference fields,metal frames, computers,TVs, etc. Electronic devices and window frames can negatively affect the product’sfunctionality.

Warning –Batteries

  • When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity(+and markings) and insert the batteries accordingly.Failure to doso could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
  • Only use batteries that match the specified type. Keep the instructions for the correct choice of batteries included withthe operating instructions of devicessafe for futurere ference.
  • Beforeyou insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polarity contacts.
  • Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
  • Replace allthe batteries in aset at the same time.
  • Do not mix oldand new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different manufacturers.
  • Remove the batteries from products that arenot being used for an extended period (unless these arebeing kept ready for an emergency).
  • Do not short-circuit batteries.
  • Do not charge batteries.
  • Do not burnbatteries or heat them up.
  • Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can containtoxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
  • Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.
  • Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmosphericpressures (such as at high altitudes).
  • Ensure that batteries with damaged housings do not come into contact with water.
  • Keep batteries out of the reach of children.

Getting Started

4.1 Inserting the battery

  • Remove the battery that wasal ready inserted intothe clock,remove the protective film if necessary as wellasthe conta ctinter rupter and the re-insertthe battery with the correct polarity. The clock is ready for operation.

4.2 Replacing the battery

  • Remove and dispose of any used batteries. Insert thenew battery (AA). Ensurethat the polarity of the battery corresponds to the symbols in the battery compartment.

Installation

You can mount the wall clock on a wall using the opening on the back.

Warning –Mounting Note:

  •  Before mounting the clock, ensurethat the chosen wall is suitable for the weight to be mounted, and make surethat thereare no electrical wires, water,gas or other lines at the installation siteon the wall.
  • Purchase special fastening materials from specialised dealers.
  • Do not mount the product above locations where persons might linger.

Operation

6.1 Automatic time setting

  • Once the battery is inserted properly,the clock will automatically be set to 12:00 and its reception will beactivated. As soon as the DCF signal was received and processed (approx. 3minutes up to a maximum of 15 minutes), the correct time is displayed automatically.
    Do not move the clock during this process.

  • If the clock has not correctly set it self after 15 minutes,there is a problem with the reception or with the selected location.

  • Repeat the setting process at another location.Todothis,removethe batteryfor approximately 1minute and then reinsertitin to the battery compartment.

6.2Setting the time manually
M.SET button:

  • Hold down the M.SET button until theappropriate time appears.
  • As soon as the clock receives the DCF signal, it willreset the time.

REC button:

  • Press and hold the REC button on the rear side for 3seconds. The secondshandmoves to the 12 position. It the ntries to receive the time signal and reset itself accordingly.
  • If the clock finds a DCF signal, it adjusts itself automatically.If no signal is received within 16 minutes, the clock reverts to the original time.

RESET button:

  • Press and hold the RESET button on the rear side for 3seconds. The clock sets itself to position 12.Itthen tries to receive thetimesignal and reset itself accordingly.

Note that electronic devices such as TVs, PCs, etc. caninterferewith reception when located within up to two metres of the product.

Care and Maintenance

Only clean this product with aslightly moist, lint-free cloth,and donot use aggressive cleaning agents. Make surethat water does not get into the product.
