Welcome to your pod poi – it comes with many incredible features and moments of joy. Simply press the button at the bottom to turn it on. That’s all you need to start having a  great time. Check the flow pocket guide for more on operating your lights. These manuals have basic instructions – there are many more awesome tips and a quickstart video  on our website. POWER

Charging: There is a microUSB jack on the side of the capsule. No need to disassemble to charge –> Simply “squish” the pod by pressing down on the tri- ring and the bottom of the shell – look through the slits between the petals to reveal the charging jack. Charge w/ the provided cable.
The capsule light should turn on and begin “breathing” its charge-level color. When charging, the indicator light is not entirely accurate until done charging (green). If your light is  NOT grouped, it will turn green when fully charged for a few minutes, then it will shut off to save power. The capsule light takes 3-4 hours to fully charge, but 90% of the charge happens in 2 hours.
Checking your battery charge level: From off, press and hold the button. The light will blink a color indicating your battery level – ranging from red to green – until you let go.  Your battery may be low when you first receive your lights – if so, please charge before use.
Red <10% … Orange ~50% … Yellow 50-90% … Green >90%
Note: Colors are approximate. Runtimes vary greatly with different modes.
Low battery mode & dead battery indicator: When the battery gets low, the capsule will exhibit a dim red flicker for a while, so your light doesn’t go totally dark immediately. If your light blinks red and turns off, the battery is totally out of juice. Time to plug in and recharge!

HARDWARE

Adjusting your leash length: A popular leash length is from your hand to your shoulder. Untie the knot at the knob, move the knob to your desired length, tie a simple knot, and ensure both of the leashes are the same length before tightening the knot. Cut the excess leash above the knot, and melt the end to make a melted puck, so the knot is secure.
Assembling the tri-ring back onto the pod: If your tri-ring comes loose, here’s how to reassemble it.
Insert 2 petals into the tri-ring, position the leash, pinch the tip of the 3rd petal and push/massage it inside the tri-ring.
Pro tip: align tips of the tri-ring with seams on the pod shells.

You must read these safety instructions and warnings before using or charging your batteries.
Capsule lights use rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries might cause damages like leaking, fire or explosion when misused or defective. Failure to read and follow the below instructions may result in fire, personal injury, and damage to property if charged or used improperly or if defective. Please read carefully and be aware!

  • Always charge in an isolated area, away from other flammable materials like wood or carpet. Never charge batteries unattended.

  • Please double-check your charger to assure it is operating correctly at the beginning of every charge cycle.
If your charger or battery becomes hot, balloons/swells, emits smoke, or smells unusual, STOP CHARGING IMMEDIATELY. Observe the battery for 15 minutes in a  safe area outside of any building or vehicle and away from any combustible material to assure that it does not ignite, and contact us.

  • Some microUSB chargers on the market may have technical deficiencies that may cause them to charge Li-ion batteries incorrectly or at an improper rate.
It is your responsibility solely to assure the charger you purchased works properly.
Always monitor the charging process to assure batteries are being charged properly.

  • Do NOT disassemble or modify the battery.
Vibration, puncture, contact with metals, exposure to liquid, or tampering with the battery can cause it to fail.
The battery contains safety and protection devices,  which, if damaged, may cause the battery to generate heat, explode, ignite, or short circuit. Severe injury may occur.

  • Store in a cool, dry place.
Never store or charge batteries in extreme temperatures, such as a hot car; near heat sources or fire; or in pressurized or very cold environments.

  • Keep away from children.

  • If the battery leaks and the fluid gets into your eye, do not rub your eye.
Rinse well with water and immediately seek medical care.
If left untreated, the battery fluid could cause damage to the eye.
