Sengled Smart Indoor Motion Sensor
Model E1M-G7H
Introduction
The Sengled Smart Indoor Motion Sensor detects motion and can be integrated with other smart devices in your home. A hub is required to control the sensor.
Installation
- Open the Sengled Home App and go to Devices. Click +, then choose Smart LEDs and Accessories (used with a hub). Follow the in-app instructions for installation. Note : Install the battery first. Then you will have one minute to successfully pair it. If fail, follow the reset instruction on the next page.
- There are three ways to install your motion sensor:
- Place it anywhere directly without a base.
- Mount the sensor on the wall (with screws):
- Mount the base on the wall with 2 screws included.
- Snap the connector on the sensor.
- Follow the arrow on the fixing cover of the connector, then rotate it to the base.
- Adjust the sensor to your desired angle and now your sensor is ready to go.
- Mount the sensor on the wall (with 3M sticker):
- Mount the base on the wall with 3M sticker.
- The rest of the steps are the same as B2, B3, and B4 above.
- Congratulations on successfully installing your Indoor Motion Sensor!
To add your Smart Sensor to a Sengled hub, follow the instructions below. If you DO NOT have a Sengled Smart Hub and Sengled Home app previously installed, please install your hub according to its user guide in the package before installing the sensor. If you have a 3rd-party hub, such as SmartThings or Amazon Echo Plus, you can also connect Sengled Smart Sensors to these hubs according to their instructions in apps.
Note : Please make sure your mobile device and Sengled Smart Hub are connected to the same router. Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz (refer to wireless transmission frequency, different with the used in phones. ) are supported.
Reset Instructions
To reset your sensor, insert the needle included into the reset hole on the top and hold it for four to fifteen seconds. Then release it, and the LED indicator light will flash twice in red. This indicates that your sensor is starting to pair with your hub again. It will flash again when successfully paired.
Battery Replacement
Follow these steps to replace the battery:
- Rotate the fixing cover of the connector from the base.
- Hold the sensor with one hand and the connector with the other. Press and move the connector upward, then make them apart.
- Repeat the operation of method A above to change the battery.
For installation method A in page 2,
- open the battery cover by your fingers directly or resort to a tool.
- Then remove the old batteries and install the new ones.
- Replace the cover and now your sensor is ready to work.
Note:
- Different types of batteries and new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
- Risk of explosion if the batteries are replaced by an incorrect type.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be charged.
For B, please follow the recommended steps below:
- Rotate the fixing cover of the connector from the base.
- Hold the sensor with one hand and the connector the other. Press and move the connector upward, then make them apart.
- Repeat the operation of method A above to change the battery.
Note : Once your sensor is paired, it will flash once after the battery is replaced successfully, and then goes into the sleep mode. If your sensor is not paired, it will try to join your hub immediately and last for one minute at most before going into the sleep mode.

How can the Smart Motion Sensor be connected to the network if it looks offline?
Make sure your hub is online in the Sengled Home app by pulling down the home page to refresh the device status. Stand in the detection range of the sensor to trigger a status update. If your sensor is still offline, insert the reset hole with a needle for one second, and it will rejoin. If it continues to appear offline, then repeat the above step. -
Is the Sengled Smart Indoor Motion Sensor compatible with other smart hubs?
Yes. The sensor is compatible with Samsung SmartThings and Amazon Echo Plus hubs. -
Can the status of the Smart Indoor Motion Sensor be checked from an app?
Yes. The sensor can be monitored via the Sengled Home app as well as the Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings apps.
Important Safety Information
Before installing the Sengled Smart Indoor Motion Sensor, please read and follow the cautions, including:
- Suitable for use in operating environment between 5°C and 40°C.
- Indoor use only.
- Do not submerge in water.
- Do not place on hot surfaces.
- Batteries should be installed by an adult.
- Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
- Remove batteries when product is not in use for some time.

Operations
Your Smart Indoor Motion Sensor has 2 types of sensitivities: â‘ 6-15 feet; â‘¡15-30 feet when installed at 1.5-2.5 meters high. The 2nd one is the default setting, which is printed on the sensor. You could adjust it by toggling the key to your desired one. Once installed, the Smart Sensor requires nothing but battery replacement when necessary. It can also function as a trigger, such as turning on your lights and speakers when a motion is detected. Find more fun in your Sengled Home app.
Note : By adjusting the height and angle of the sensor, you can decide your sensor to be whether pet immune or pet sensitive.
