Water Test

  • Before using your Catalyst case for the Apple Watch (or after any significant drop or impact to your case), you must water test it using the provided watch dummy.
  • Place an assembled watch case with watch dummy inside in a container of water, placing a heavy object on top of watch strap to keep it submerged for 30 minscatalyst Total Protection Apple Watch S7 Case 5
  • Remove watch case from water and dry off external surfaces.
  • Open watch case to inspect for water inside the silicone wrap. If you find water inside the silicone wrap against the watch dummy, please inspect the parts for damage or dirt. If dirty, clean the case parts and re-test.

IMPORTANT

Note #1: The case is designed so the silicone seals against the Apple Watch. Water naturally sits between the silicone wrap and the plastic case but does not penetrate the sealed inside area of the silicone wrap

How to install the case onto Apple Watch

  • Remove bands attached to your Apple Watch.
  • Make sure all parts are clean and free of dust and dirt
  • If parts are dirty, you must clean them before installation Insert Apple Watch into silicone part button-side first. Gently pull silicone part to wrap around entire back of device.catalyst Total Protection Apple Watch S7 Case 11
  • Be careful to not puncture silicone parts (especially with fingernails). Make sure the silicone ribs are installed into the device band’s slots
  • 4 Squeeze out any trapped air in between silicone wrap and Apple Watch.
  • Assemble the case front onto the silicone wrap. The silicone part has a raised lip around the opening for the touchscreen of the Apple watch.catalyst Total Protection Apple Watch S7 Case 12
  • The raised lip of the silicone must evenly fit inside the rim of the case front and not be trapped under the case front rim.
  • This is critical for the case to seal and be waterproof. Snap case back onto case front. Check that the rim of the silicone part is still aligned with the rim of the plastic case front. If the rim of the silicone part is not aligned all

WATER AND PRESSURE

Water and Pressure: The Catalyst case for Apple Watch has a water resistance rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529. Each watch case and dummy are tested at the factory to ensure that it withstands pressures equivalent to a depth of 330 ft/100 meters. Even if a device is above a depth it’s rated for, it may still suffer water ingression if it is subjected to an activity that creates pressure on it that exceeds that depth rating. Water pressure can change quickly, such as when you move your arm to begin swimming. Avoid pressing buttons on the device while it is underwater as this can increase the pressure on the case and could allow water to enter into the casing and damage the device. Our water rating is suitable for rain, splashing, showering, swimming and snorkeling. Do not expose the Apple Watch to high velocity water, for example while water skiing or wear in the sauna or steam room.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION

DROPS

After a drop or impact, remove your Apple watch from the case and retest the fully sealed case with the test dummy underwater. Make sure it is still in good working order before exposing to water again. If the case leaks do not use it underwater. Don’t use a damaged case or AppleWatch, such as one that is bent, has a cracked screen, visible water intrusion, or a damaged band. CLEANING &

CARE

Minimize exposure of your Catalyst case to anything that may cause stains, or other damage, such as dirt or sand, makeup, ink, soap, detergent, acids or acidic foods. Rinse your case thoroughly in fresh water it has been in contact with liquids such as salt water, soapy water, pool water, perfume, insect repellent, lotions, sunscreen, oil, hair dye, or solvents. Some sunscreens contain solvents that can permanently mar or cloud the plastic parts of the case or could degrade the silicone seals. If exposed to any of these chemicals, rinse in clean water immediately and dry using a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth.

DISTRACTION

Be aware of your surroundings when using your Catalyst case. You’ll be tempted to send messages, take selfies, change songs using the remote, do everything you normally would with your Apple Watch, etc. Be careful when you do. Pay attention to where you are and nearby hazards like falls, bodies of water, etc. Using the Catalyst case in some circumstances can distract you and may cause a dangerous situation (for example, avoid texting while driving a car or using headphones while riding a bicycle). The Catalyst case is not intended for use where the failure of the case or device could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental damage.

SKIN SENSITIVITIES

Some people may experience reactions to certain materials used in jewelry, watches, and other wearable items that are in prolonged contact with their skin. This can be due to allergies, environmental factors, extended exposure to irritants like soap, sweat, or other causes. You may be more likely to experience irritation from any wearable device if you have allergies or other sensitivities. If you have known skin sensitivities, please take special care when wearing the Catalyst case. You may be more likely to experience irritation if you wear it too tightly. Remove the case from your wrist periodically to allow your skin to breathe. Keeping the case and band clean and dry will reduce the possibility of skin irritation. If you experience redness, swelling, itchiness, or any other irritation or discomfort on your skin around, or beneath, your case, please remove the case and consult your physician before resuming wear. Continued use, even after symptoms subside, may result in renewed or increased irritation.

TEMPERATURE

The operating temperature for the Apple Watch is 32° to 95°F (0° to 35°C). It can be stored in temperature between -4° and 113° F (-20° and 45°C). Never expose your device to temperatures outside of the operating temperature range as stated in its manual to avoid damaging your device. While the Catalyst case can withstand temperatures up to 158°F (70°C), this is well beyond the device’s range. Remove the case if it becomes uncomfortably warm. Do not leave your case in places with extreme temperatures (saunas, hot tubs, hot car interiors) or where wide temperature or humidity fluctuations may occur and internal condensation may form (i.e. from – 16 – a cold pool to a hot sauna or hot tub).
