SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING: Before exposing your device to water, you must read and follow
all instructions. You are responsible for your device and exposing it to
hazards will be at your own risk.
CHOKING HAZARD:
The case (including its components) may present a choking hazard or cause
other injury to small children. Keep these items away from small children,
including children under 3 years. The case is not a toy.

BASIC MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
DO NOT USE A DAMAGED CATALYST PRODUCT FOR PROTECTION.
DROP OR IMPACT:
After a drop or collision, remove your phone from the case and do a water test
to make sure it is still in good working order. If the case leaks, do not use
it underwater or expose it to water.
CLEANING YOUR CASE EXTERIOR:
Rinse your case in clean water, mild soap and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth
before removing your iPhone. Never use abrasive paper towels or solvent based
cleaners on your case. Disinfectable with certain EPA approved disinfectants;
the case can be disinfected using 70% isopropyl alcohol, 70% ethanol, Lysol ®
Wipes, Clorox ® Wipes or OptiCide 3 ® Wipes. Avoid using cleaning products
containing povidone-iodine (such as Betadine ® ), as this may affect the
function and aesthetic qualities of the case. Always follow the instructions
of the disinfectant manufacturer. It is best practice for some disinfectants
to be rinsed with water after disinfecting to remove residue that may break
down or wear the cases, then pat dried with a non-abrasive cloth. The case may
collect dirt in crevices or gaps. You can remove the phone from the case to
clean (if necessary). Dirt can be removed by light brushing parts in soapy
water using a toothbrush. Do not use anything hard or sharp on the case. Rinse
off any soapy water or disinfectant residue that remains on the case after
cleaning and allow it to dry prior to use. Exposure to certain chemicals may
result in loss of use or failure of the case. If exposed to such chemicals,
immediately rinse the case in clean water and dry prior to use.
SUNSCREEN:
Use caution when using your case after applying sunscreen. Sunscreens often
contain solvents that can permanently mar or cloud the plastic parts of the
case, or could degrade the seals. If you accidentally expose your case to
sunscreen, rinse off the case as soon as possible.
TEMPERATURE:
The operating temperature for the iPhone is 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° Celsius).
Never expose your iPhone to temperatures outside of the iPhone’s operating
temperature range as stated in its manual. While the case can withstand
temperatures up to 158° F (70° C), this is well beyond the iPhone’s operating
temperature range.
AIR TRAVEL AND ALTITUDE:
When traveling with your case in your checked luggage, please note that you
must pack your case so that either the Charge Port is unplugged or the lid is
not installed on the case. This is because the case is 100% sealed from the
environment, and the extreme pressure and temperature differences in the cargo
hold could cause damage to some features on your housing. The same rule
applies if you send your case anywhere by airmail or expose the case to large
pressure or temperature differences. Always store
your case with Case Back removed or Plug for Charge Port open. If pressure
build up occurs, simply open the Charge Port to release pressure.
WATER AND PRESSURE:
The case has a water ingress rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529. Each
case is tested at the factory to ensure that it withstands pressures
equivalent to a depth of 33 ft/10 meters. However, even if a case is above a
depth it’s rated for, it may still suffer water ingression if it is subjected
to an activity that creates pressure on it that exceeds that depth rating,
such as movement through water. Our water rating is suitable for rain,
splashing, showering, swimming and snorkeling. Do not expose the device to
high velocity water, for example while water skiing or in a sauna or steam
room. Do not open the case or any openings underwater as this will allow water
to enter the case and damage your iPhone.
THE WATERPROOF AND DROP PROOF CHARACTERISTICS MAY NOT BE PERMANENT AND MAY
DECREASE AS A RESULT OF NORMAL WEAR OR EXPOSURE TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS.
WARRANTY
This product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with instructions (http://cata.ly/stTotalProtectionSeriesforiPhone) for one year from the date of original purchase by the end-user purchaser. If a defect arises during the Warranty period, Labworks will inspect, test and confirm the defect and in its sole discretion, repair or replace it with a new or refurbished product or functional equivalent. This Warranty applies to end-users who purchased the product directly from Labworks or its authorized retailers and does not apply to transferees, products purchased from non-authorized dealers, online auction websites or anyone else who stands to profit from this Warranty without Labworks’ prior written authorization. This Warranty only applies to the product itself, and excludes third party products even if packaged or sold with the product (including your phone used with the product). To obtain warranty service, please email [email protected] with purchase date, receipt, product SKU, problem description, name, address, phone and email. In order to process your claim, Labworks or its authorized representative may require that you provide further information, including shipment of defective product and proof of purchase documents. You are responsible for all costs associated with claims submitted under this Warranty, including the cost of shipping, handling, customs duties, VAT and other associated taxes and charges. You must comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulations to send the product to or receive a replacement product from Labworks International Design Ltd., Unit 2, 9/F, Block A, Yee Lim Industrial Centre, 2-28 Kwai Lok Street, Kwai Fong, N.T., Hong Kong or the address of our authorized representative. For end users covered by an applicable consumer protection law or regulation in their country of purchase or residence, the benefits under this warranty are in addition to rights and remedies of the end user under such laws or regulations. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and that in other languages, the English version shall prevail.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Many factors are beyond the control of Catalyst and are uniquely within the
user’s knowledge and control which can affect the use and performance of the
case in a particular application. As a result, the user is solely responsible
for evaluating use of the case and determining whether it is appropriate and
suitable for the user’s application. Failure to properly evaluate the intended
use of the case and use the case, or to meet all applicable safety laws and
regulations, may result in injury, sickness, death, and/or damage to property.
Except for the limited remedy stated above, and except to the extent
prohibited by law, Catalyst will not be liable for any claim, loss or damage
arising from or related to the case, whether direct, indirect, special,
incidental, or consequential (including, but not limited to, lost profits or
business opportunity), regardless of the legal or equitable principle
asserted, including, but not limited to, warranty, contract, negligence, or
strict liability.
Remove any skin or screen protector from the device before installing the case. Our case is designed to perfectly fit the naked device and any extra material will compromise the waterproofness and cleanability of the case.
Inspect the two seals located on the case to ensure they are clean and free of any dirt, dust or grease. If dirty, rinse with warm water and shake to dry. If the seals are not clean or free of dirt dust or grease, this will affect the waterproof characteristics of the case.
You are responsible to make sure your case is waterproof before you expose
your device to water.
Perform a water test on your case without your device inside before engaging
in any water related activity. The purpose of water testing your case is to
both verify the case is in good working condition and to give you confidence
in how the product works.
When putting your device into the case, you must insert your device bottom first into the case front.
Snap the case together and make sure the O-ring is not pinched inside the groove between case front and case back.
Check if the bottom plug is inserted completely to secure the waterproofness of your case.
When removing the case, use a coin or your fingertip to gently open the case back and shake the phone out.
Acoustics for phone calls function as normal within our case. Reduced acoustic
performance may occur due to one of the following reasons:
A: improper installation, to resolve this refer to instruction #5.
B: A pressure imbalance due to temperature or altitude changes, resolve this
by opening the bottom plug to equalize the pressure.
C: Water trapped on the acoustic membrane, to resolve this shake or blow water
out of the acoustic ports.
