Product Information

The KQ5+MQZ(2.4G-BT Wireless Keyboard) for Heyday is a compact wireless keyboard that can be connected to a device via wireless USB receiver or Bluetooth. It is powered by 2 AAA batteries and has LED indicators to show the connection channel. The product is FCC compliant and safe for intended operation. It is made in China and has the following dimensions: 8 in x 5.6 in = 203.2 x 142.24mm.

Product Usage Instructions

  • Use the arrow keys to switch connection channel between wireless USB receiver and 2 other Bluetooth channels.
  • Press the arrow keys once to switch between each channel (the default channel is wireless USB receiver).
  • Press and hold “Fn” and short press the arrow keys once to switch between Bluetooth channels. LED indicators will start to flash / light up in green.
  • Press and hold “Fn” and “P” long press to switch to Windows.
  • Press and hold “Fn” and “I” long press to switch to Mac.

Connect via Wireless USB Receiver

The keyboard is plug and play for USB receiver. Make sure the power is on, plug in the USB receiver into an available USB A port on the device, and set the connection channel on the wireless USB receiver.

Connect / Pair via Bluetooth in Windows

  1. Turn on your keyboard and set it on either Bluetooth channel.
  2. Click on Start Menu (bottom left corner of your screen).
  3. Go to Settings → Device → Bluetooth & other devices.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth → Add Bluetooth or other device → Add a device (Bluetooth).
  5. Press and hold “Fn” and long press the arrow keys to set the keyboard in pairing mode so that it can be found on your device (its LED will start to flash in green).
  6. Click on Heyday compact keyboard to connect / pair (its LED will stop flashing and light up in green and then go off when pairing is completed).

Connect / Pair via Bluetooth in Mac

  1. Turn on your keyboard and set it on either Bluetooth channel.
  2. Click on Apple menu (top left corner of your screen).
  3. Go to System Preferences → Bluetooth → Turn Bluetooth on to set up Bluetooth device.
  4. Press and hold “Fn” and long press the arrow keys to set the keyboard in pairing mode so that it can be found on your device (its LED will start to flash in green).
  5. Click on Heyday compact keyboard to connect (its LED will stop flashing and light up in green and then go off when pairing is completed).

Detailed setup

  • This keyboard can be paired with up to 3 different devices

Press and HOLD “fn” and SHORT

  • Press “ ” keys ONCE to switch between each channel (the default channel is “wireless USB receiver”)
  • For example, if you are using channel “wireless USB receiver” ( ) and want to switch to channel “Bluetooth Channel 1” (1) to connect with another device, just press and HOLD “fn” and SHORT press “ 1” once to switch it, its LED indicator will start to flash / light up in green, same for switching to “Bluetooth channel 2” (2 ) and “wireless USB receiver” ( )

This keyboard can automatically detect operating systems

  • It can automatically detect the operating system (Windows or Mac) on the current device and remap keys to provide functions and shortcuts where you expect them to be
  • But if it fails to correctly detect the operating system of a device (incorrect key layout), you can still manually select the operating system by using combination keys below
    • “Fn + P” long press switch to Windows
    • “Fn + I” long press to switch to Mac

Connect via wireless USB receiver

It is plug and play for USB receiver, make sure power is on, plug in USB receiver into available USB A port on device and set connection channel on “wireless USB receiver”

Troubleshooting

  • If it is not working, try below steps to re-pair keyboard and USB receiver
  • Turn off your keyboard and re-plug in USB receiver, turn on power (make sure channel is set on  )
  • Press and HOLD “Fn” and LONG press “
  • ” key (keep keyboard close to receiver) If it does not work after 10 seconds, reboot your device and repeat step 1 to 3

Connect/pair via Bluetooth in Windows

  • Turn on your keyboard and set it on either Bluetooth channel or Click on Start Menu (bottom left corner of your screen)
  • Go to Settings -> Device -> Bluetooth & other devices
  • Turn on Bluetooth -> Add Bluetooth or another device -> Add a device (Bluetooth)
  • Press and HOLD “Fn” and LONG press key to set the keyboard in pairing mode so that it can be found on your device (its LED will start to flash in green)
  • Click on “heyday compact keyboard” to connect/pair (its LED will stop flashing and light up in green and then go off when pairing is completed)

Connect/pair via Bluetooth in Mac

  • Turn on your keyboard and set it on either Bluetooth channel

  • Make sure to turn on Bluetooth on your device
  • Press and HOLD “Fn” and LONG press key to set the keyboard in pairing mode, make sure it is discoverable on your device and then pair it with your keyboard
  • If it does not work after 10 seconds, reboot your device and repeat step 1 to 3

If it is not working on previously paired devices, make sure to turn on Bluetooth on that device and set the keyboard on the correct Bluetooth channel
For example, a tablet has paired with 1, and a laptop has paired with 2
Set the keyboard on if you want to use the keyboard on that tablet

Low battery

If this LED starts to flash, it means you need to change battery
