AMC UNIKA Touch Screen Keypad
Product Information
The UNIKA Touch Screen Keypad is a control and indicating equipment for alarm systems. It is compatible with X and K panels from versions 1.73 and 3.73 with certification EN 50131-1 + EN 50131-3. The product is manufactured by AMC Elettronica s.r.l. in Italy.
Important Notes
The UNIKA Touch Screen Keypad is compliant with EN 50136-1 and EN 50136-2
(GSM and PSTN alarm transmission) standards. All the products mentioned in the
user manual are in accordance with the rules: EN 50131-1, EN 50131-3, and EN
50131-6 (control and indicating equipment for alarm systems). The packaging of
the product contains the UNIKA touchscreen and a user manual. However, it does
not include an SD card, tag for use with an internal tag reader, or software
to create a photo slide show for the screen saver.

- Electric specifications: power supply voltage range of 10.5 – 15 Vcc, maximum consumption of 105mA@13.8Vcc, and minimum consumption of 87mA@13.8Vcc
- Environmental conditions: temperature maximum of 40°C and humidity of up to 93%
Product Usage Instructions
To connect the UNIKA Touch Screen Keypad to the panel and start it up, press the high right angle for a few seconds using a thin object such as a screwdriver. After cabling, close the cover with screws. The product has fixing holes and cable holes for wall mounting. The tamper blade and 503 support ensure that the product is securely mounted.
The UNIKA Touch Screen Keypad has various features such as a temperature display, SOS siren, installer menu, date/hour set, vocal memo recorder, and rear HW reset button. It also has output command and keypad setup functions. The product comes with a badge for signaling recorded memos and an SD card slot for recording vocal memos and system alerts.

DEVICES FOR CONTROL OF THE SYSTEM
There are 3 types of devices for control of the panel:
- Type A: Klcd and Klight (normal keypad)
- Type B: Klight plus and K blue (keypad with input/output)
- Type C: Unika touchscreen keypad (keypad with input/output and tag reader)

UNIKA
WALL MOUNTING
- Unika is housed in BOX on Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS). UL94 V-0, with brominated flame retardant, without PBB / PBDE. For the drilling of the wall, use the figure that represents the measurements of the distances of the holes of the plastic box.
- The distance of the holes in the 503 standard box.
- IMPORTANT: take care that the tamper is closed and fixed on the wall.
- Drill, taking care not to damage any piping in the back of the wall.
- Insert for each hole, 1 fisher with a diameter of 4mm, and Slide the cables through provided holes.
- Fix the box on the wall with the right screw for fisher
CABLING
- Relay out (future use)
- positive reference for connecting sensors and/or contact
- 1 – 2 input and/or output programmable directly from the panel
- negative reference for connecting sensors and/or contact
- A & B RS 485 bus for connection to the panel
CONNECTING PANEL AND START UP
All Unika keypads are configured with address n° 1 (to change address follow the instructions) Connect the Unika to the bus of the panel, without power supply, A & B and + & -. After the connection power up the panel, if the Unika is a unique keypad connected after a few seconds will show the home screen. In case there is another different keypad (for ex. K blue) with address n°1 is necessary to change the address on UNIKA.
Press with a thin object, ex. screw drive, the high right angle for a few seconds (see a figure in the Home chapter, SETTING AREA).
Select ID for changing the address of the keypad, and use the buttons + & – for modification.
In the setting area it is possible to set different parameters:
- brightness
- speaker volume
- enable/disable the internal RFID reader (see figure)
To enable the RFID reader to enter in setting area, turn on 1 the slide on the RFID field.
- 1 = Internal RFID enabled
- 0 = internal RFID disabled
When the internal RFID is enabled, is necessary to program the badge and or key for use?
Select the keypad setup icon, the system will ask for the user code, after the correct user code, select the record tag icon
when the tag is programmed, and configure the USER and the TAG profile following the panel manually. For the delete tag, after the code selection,
To use the tag on the keypad see the figure below
SCREENSAVER
- UNIKA has a screen saver system, that is configured with a photo slide show.
- To use the screen saver is necessary to have a micro SD card and the software “slideshow”.
- To prepare the slide show file, open the soft and drag your photos inside, the soft will prepare 1 file that is copied onto the SD card. Insert the SD card in the SLOT of UNIKA.
Select the icon and after the user code, select the screensaver icon to see the figure.
With buttons + & – modify the time before starting the screensaver. The time is in seconds. After the set time will start the sequence of programmed photos.
VOCAL MEMO
It is possible to have a vocal reminder:
Select the memo icon, and will appear the screen for record/play messages ……
- When there is a new message recorded the Icon will be with a red badge select the icon to listen and delete the message.
- Selecting the clock icon it’s possible to set the date and hour of the system.
INSTALLER MENU
By selecting the icon and setting the installer code it’s possible to enter in all parameters of the panel, with a traditional virtual LCD keypad.
SOS BUTTONS
For the SOS alert there 2 button icons on the home screen, 1 for siren
panic, and another for silent panic.
To activate the panic press and hold the buttons for a few seconds.
TASK BAR
In UNIKA home there is a info task bar on the top.
In this bar, it’s possible to see the info panel:
- main power status
- Backup status battery
- PSTN line status
- GSM/GPRS/3G signal
- network status
- cloud status
- GREEN = STATUS OK
- RED = FAILED
- GREY = NOT ENABLED
